It was the daughters Ex and also they didn’t get tied up but they did think the house was being haunted because the two daughters did a ouija board trying to contact their mother who had died a month before. They ex heard about that and bre tended to be a ghost where at night would sneak around the house and write on the walls and one time he wrote “come find me I’m in your closet”. They two daughters ran to the neighbours house and waited till their dad got back from work. When they told him what they read, he went in and looked around thinking that they were messing with him. But in her closet was her ex(they couldnt tell at the time) wearing their dead moms/wife dress, a mask and holding a hatchet 🪓. He got arrested around 2 weeks after when he was found and everything from the pennies on the roof was true
