- Knowing your history is very important and, in this video, I am bringing you the official story of the Atlantic Beach Bike Fest and the group of individuals that started one of the biggest motorcycle rallies around. From NYC,1st time going to BBW in 1998.Then went in 2002 got lit,met lots of pretty women and good vibes.Then from 2003-2019 went every year before COVID 19.Some of the cops got too agressive with Black Bikers,NAACP sued Mrtyle Beach Police for too aggresive tactics.NAACP won,I'm 56 and had great times going to Black Bike Week

I'm glad you shared the story of part of my geechee culture. Reason why i say this is because some of our younger people from the Carolina area still don't know Atlantic Beach or North Myrtle. People also go to Huntington Beach but it's no bikers their unless they are passing through to get to North Myrtle. And he is definitely right by saying that is the spot. North Myrtle Beach always had the most fun or parties because that's where it all started for our Black Bike Weekend or week. It just became so big until Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach became a total hotspot for the week because of the hotels were able to accommodate the people and their bikes or vehicles with bikes in tow. Some people would just ride into town in big groups from all the corners of the land. Again i thank you for your small documentary on the culture. Kudos to you and the Carolina's.

Thanks for posting about the Carolina Knight Riders and the inception of the Atlantic Beach Bike Fest. I and a group of friends had the good fortune of visiting their clubhouse back in 2016. They were some warm and inviting gentlemen and we genuinely appreciated their hospitality. Good to hear you acknowledge the history and importance of "The Black Pearl" and noting that, in the not so distant past, Atlantic Beach was the only beach open to black people as segregation was still in practice and Myrtle Beach would not accommodate our people. Sorry you got caught in the rain. However, as you alluded, if you ride enough miles you'll see your share of rain. Glad you and your husband were able to ride safe...and I hope those Harley riding shoes are substantial enough to protect your feet and ankles while riding. Keep the shiny side up and keep accepting God's blessings and favor. Ride hard, ride fast, ride safe!

Tiffany I just traded in my 2021 Kawasaki vulcan vaquero for a 2017 ROAD GLIDE w/ 2400 miles. I had to get that deal. This went down on last Saturday and I love my ROAD GLIDE.

In the 90's Black Bike week, Freaknik, street nik(nashville), San Padre Island(Texas) Derby(Louisville), Dayota Beach all were back to back to back. We literally would go from one gathering to another

I know it is a no helmet law in SC.I am from SC and I have been riding motorcycles since 1996-2015 u could not pay me to ride with out a helmet.Thats why the insurance is ridiculous on bikes in sc

Yah, ok SC gives you freedom to not wear protection gear, but you're taking chances. Everyone drops their bike and spills are inevitable! Don't follow the crowd. You influence your viewers, show 'em gear is all cool. Ride safe.
