I suck at playing fast with my left hand and everytime I play fast with both hands my left hand lags behind. Any tips to get more speed with left hand?
for me it is the right hand. i am left-handed and noticed my right hand is weaker and has less stamina than my left hand so after some playing it gets slower or sluggish. dont know what to do about it, though
if you can play it hand separate at the correct or faster speed then its your brain that’s lagging:) or Not in sync piano uses both sides of brain one for each hand and so here lies the problem and the answer is imagination and scale practice 3rds 6ths tenths regular and contrary and imagining both melodies or notes or all notes right and left hand in your head in advance to some degree ... or work on hearing one hand at a time and focus on that while playing both .. also use metronome and then without and use rhythm and accent practice all to be in sync make sure you are not lazy and both hands activate in your head and physically at the exact same time not even one thousandth of a second off ..if you develop an inner pulse and can play all your major and minor scales in 3rds 6th and 10ths and your rhythm is exact and in sync between hands at all tempos and volumes and combinations you will have the tools to fix the inherent issue that our brains can lag :) you have to learn to send the impulse to both hands at the same time with the brain rhythm and imagination and very focused listening are your reference points to improve imo
As a Pianist and a Piano teacher I approve this message, good tips! Great Channel btw
How to improve Jump Accuracy in Left Hand? Like, I wouldn't expect slow practice to do much for accuracy in rapid jumps.
I am working on the same peice and I've been playing it for so long the left hand seems to be boring. I'm getting sick of the sonata.
