Great video guys those motors can sure take the current by the looks of it. The only draw drawdown is the original battery by the looks of it I'm surprised that switch didn't trip but like you said it will take a lot more current than rated to trip out. Stay safe guys and see you in the next.
Yeah the peaks are only for a split second. If you take a look at my riding video posted last week you'll see I overlayed the BMS data. It basically shows little pulses of high current which won't trip the breaker... it will of you were to really load up the motor.. the battery wouldn't handle it anyway and the voltage would collapse... and the BMS would probably blow as well!

There's some on ebay now it's a ZHQ 60v 1800w, similar to this but unable to compare the quality with just a picture.
And another on Google which looks pretty good called an Epicmoto 60v 2000w. Would be good to see video reviews of these..

I've goty lad the 1300 version, after a couple of rides the front leaver has gone super soft an not biting the pads any idea how to sort this as fun bikes are utter useless

The ant bms has a setting for current control at start up. Set that low to save your controllers and charge your caps.

I got the chaos 1000w from funbikes and put a 3000w motor eventually will have a controller that will pump out at least 5000w peak! the storage underneath is pretty big so they do make a good base to put bigger cells in I have a 72v 30ah battery in there top speed is only around 40mph due to controller limitations only have a generic 72v in there at the moment

His bike looks a lot like a Mx650... I have a 14" front rim and a 10" back rim but his has matching rims, I like that style.
Edit: He needs a new chain and a bigger rear shock... That was the first thing I did on mine when I got it.
Edit 2: At the end when he's like "O no don't blow up my battery or I'll have to get a bigger better one to make it go faster"... He better be quiet before my wife finds out I do that. 🤫🤣

Is there a battery update
Both bikes your sprockets are not aligned.
Hence the noise from the chain. I doubt you can move the front sprocket on the motor shaft. It would be better to shim the rear sprocket.
There is no torque reaction bolt on the motor either so twisting the throttle you are getting torque reaction on the motor.
So ream the motor bolt holes and frame holes to suit a larger bolt size without any clearance and reinforce with brazed on washers or a thicker motor mount.
With the torque you have on tap it is going to be worth going up a tooth on the front sprocket and maybe alter the gearing a little, and buy a proper chain, that chain is not much more than a kids cycle drive chain

It might be that the battery isn't capable of more power. Need to be careful when increasing settings on the sabvoton.

Thanks, no unfortunately you cant just upgrade the controller, you'd need to get a more powerful battery also.

Try a new 2 X + larger cog around the hidden Motor shaft fixed gear to chainset at same rpm same mileage
Hey Andy i also have the Enduro Ebike with Sabvoton like you have, do you maybe know of a simple way to have a 2 Speed switch on for Germanys legal 25 kmh and the other offroad?
Most sabvotons have a 3 position switch wire. You can set different percentages for them in the programming software or MQCONN bluetooth APP

I have a mxr 1600W 48v bike stock If I fit a 5000w controller what else would I need to change and would I need to program my controller... is there a app for that?
The battery won't handle 5000W, you might get 2000-2500W before the battery management system shuts off for over power. We used Lipo batteries in the end to get max power. Programming depends on controller, generally you need to program them, the software differs from controller to controller.

I’ve got a 45a sabvoton controller and I can not get a smooth throttle. Are all sabvoton controllers so violent on the throttle. Love the channel 👍🏻

What's the power of that motor? As I have a 3kw bike running on a 48v hailong battery lol
Not sure whether to upgrade to a 72v battery or buy a sabvoton controller first what you think?
To pull 3kw on 48v, you would need a 65 amp controller. Most 48v batteries have a BMS capable of 30amp continuous with a peak of 60 amp. If this is the case, be careful not to fry your battery.
If you want more speed, go 72v. You can work out power by battery voltage x amps your controller is pulling. I.e 48v x 65a = 3,120w.
@@18ct I couldn't get the 72v so I just ordered a 60v 25ah battery and its continous ampage is 50a, peak is 100a
