The poor farmers. 7 years of work ruined in an hour. How devastating.
I hope they had insurance coverage
Pretty much an exact repeat of the hail storm that hit the NE 4 years ago.
They didn't even have houses fixed from the Last hailstorm
I live in Evanston, probably $40-$60k damage and my home insurance doesn't have hail coverage. That's my fault, I should paid closer attention to my policy inclusions/exclusions; I signed up for the cheapest home insurance I could find when I was unemployed during Covid and that policy just kept auto-renewing as is. Never thought I was undeer covered till now. Thoughts of unaliving myself grow by the hour :(
At the end of day, all calgarian pay more insurance premiums 😢
State of Alberta, I think
I live in Calgary. It's never been a matter of if, but a matter of exactly where and when the crazy hail storm will hit. Part off life here, so prepare best you can. Clean up always sucks.
Millions and millions of dollars on Insurance claims coming ! we will be bracing for a spike in Insurance hikes, I alone have two of my vehicles damaged
Baby we aint seen nothing yet!

Need more Kool aid ?
Your absolutely right! Matthew 24:8 The beginning of the birth pains & The Olivet discourse. This is just a tid-bit of what’s to come… Globally!
If you live in the foothills and hailstone alley like calgary then you can expect this type of weather yearly.
Sometimes it’s like the northeast has its own weather, separate from the rest of the city
cheap light weight homes in a stormy and windy area - why cant building codes be less than 2rd world?
Why always NE.
Here in Oklahoma we’ve seen worse
Have insurance is a must
😢
This happens every single year in Calgary
That's the problem, retaining enough to rebuild after an unexpected incident. But then, that's why we have insurance.
Even in disasters, everything gets wet !!!

I just cant believe that our carbon tax dollars haven't been able to alter this course yet. I'm not sure how many billions has been collected, maybe the tax isn't high enough to make that real difference?
Quick send Trudeau more carbon tax …
Well, you have to blame leaders decades ago for not taking any action. Whatever the carbon tax does can only affect incidences decades in the future and really only reduce the increase of such events at best and only by slowly changing consumer behaviour by encouraging the development of alternatives. Using such weather events to argue against the carbon tax is a pretty lame argument. There's plenty of issues about the carbon tax but pointing out current weather as an argument against is just a demonstration of ignorance.
@@johnwang9914 The only thing carbon tax affects is your wallet. Taxes and weather are not connected.
The carbon tax has been in Alberta since 2007 when the right wing premier created it. Pretty weird to blame Trudeau for Conservative policies.

@@MotherNature26 Oh by all mean enlighten me with a step by step description of how the carbon tax you pay turns into a change in the weather. This should be fun!
This is what happens when you develop neighbourhoods in a known hail zone that used to be prairie years ago
Right....don't build on the prairie, don't build by rivers or oceans, don't build by mountains, don't build by forests....where should you build?
@@AprilSun-yk3yj amend building codes and ban light/breakable siding - stronger composite siding exists already and adds 10-20k to price of home
