We did Chicken Corners about 12 yrs ago when we were newbies to Moab. Its very scenic and not difficult. I was a good one to “Get our feet wet” on. I plan on doing it again if we ever get back to Moab....
New subscriber here and I just watched this video and it's really nice and clear. It's not quite like being there but it's the next best thing. What beautiful country. We went to Moab the first time in 2012 and went back every year up to 2016. We did a lot of off-roading and have seen a lot of the area but we never did the Chicken Corners run and now I wish we had. That will be on the top of the list for the next time. I was thinking about doing the same thing that you are but it never was the right time. I have two cams, one pointing forward and one backward. At one point I mounted a cam on a pan-tilt, mounted on the hood, with a wireless remote. It really added to my videos but unfortunately it didn't hold up to the abuse. I'm going to watch part 2 and 3 next. Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe out there.
Thanks for the drive-through video. I don't have a built rig anymore, but I remember this one being rather easy. Something a stock vehicle with 8-10" of clearance could do. The is for the video.
Thank you. Some of the videos turned out ok and some I would like to do over with better cameras. I don't like the sound of my voice either lol .Thanks for watching.
Depending on how the trail changes over time, wash outs etc you should be ok. I've seen other stock rigs on this trail over the years. Thanks for watching.
@@donm8011 I used to narrate some of my earlier videos so some of my friends would know what they're looking at but I stopped for the most part because I hate the sound of my own voice, lol.
It would sure be nice if there is someone with you for them to take the camera out of the front window and show the surrounding scenery besides just what's in front of you!
I agree. I'm thinking about trying a 360 degree camera for just that reason. My wife wants no part in the recording process. I have wanted different views for a long time. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.
I didn't use 4-low but a little extra clearance was nice in a couple of spots. This is one of the easier scenic trails around Moab. Highly recommended . Thanks for watching.
That was the Gopro hero 4 black on a Gopro magnetic mount. I currently use a Gopro hero 6 black with very good built in stabilization on a Gropro magnetic mount. I suggest the rubber coated ones that wont scratch your paint You can see that camera in use starting with the Yankee Boy Basin-Ouray Colorado July 2018 video. th-cam.com/video/8IGbJTiDoeE/w-d-xo.html. Yep I agree. One of my favorites. And the short walk at the end tops it off.

Thanks for your comment. Yep really cool ride. Make sure you take the short hike at the end of the trail. Happy Holidays and thanks for watching.

No this trail isn't bad, but they change with the seasons. Naturally a lot of rain means deeper ruts etc. Always been a favorite. Thanks for watching.
It's been a long time since I've seen that beautiful country I use to travel a lot down thein ,Moab
Glad you like it and thanks for watching.
Nice video. I just found your channel an subscribed but I've got quite the backlog to go through now.
Thank you. Some of the videos turned out ok and some I would like to do over with better cameras. I don't like the sound of my voice either lol .Thanks for watching.
Been researching the poop out of this trail. This video helps a lot but was wondering if a stock 4runner would handle this trail?
Depending on how the trail changes over time, wash outs etc you should be ok. I've seen other stock rigs on this trail over the years. Thanks for watching.
Another great video...thanks for the ride.
Your welcome. Thanks for watching.
Great video! I would also enjoy some of your narration while driving. Where is your home base? Thank you.
Thanks for your comment. My wife says I should narrate more too. But that's not something I'm comfortable doing. We live in Utah. Thanks for watching.

We are looking forward to running this one!
You'll enjoy it. Lots of photo ops.

This complete drive-thru was exactly what I was looking for. And, thanks for having a good camera. Is 4-low necessary on this trail?
I didn't use 4-low but a little extra clearance was nice in a couple of spots. This is one of the easier scenic trails around Moab. Highly recommended . Thanks for watching.
Awesome job with the camera mounting. What kind of mount setup are you using and what make and model cam?

Thank you for the reply. I'm planning a 2 week tri out west. I'll definitely look into your recommendations on equipment.
How is cell reception? Also, can you do this in a full size truck?
I don't think it was consistent, spotty at best. If you have good ground clearance you'll be ok, Thanks for watching.
Do what kid of video camera are you using.
At the time a GoPro Hero 4 black. I use a Hero 7 black now. Much better stabilization. Thanks for watching.
Probably the first trail i will do when i'll be in Moab in november looking forward to get my 2018 Ram 2500 dirty
A very good trail to run. And you will get dirty, or at the very least dusty .The red dust gets into everything. Enjoy!
