I’m from Toronto. Was in Vancouver a month ago. Walked down a street (east Hastings) I didn’t realize was full of ppl shooting up opiods, smoking crack, literally having a dump on the side walk 3 feet away from me as I walked by. For over 1 km. Business in that part of the street is dead - boarded up buildings. And it’s spreading, heading towards Gastown. Folks, that’s not right.

My oldest can’t afford to buy a house, I can’t afford a dentist for myself, (in my 50’s) because we’re a single income family w/o insurance and I stay home to care for my other adult, disabled daughter. Groceries, necessities, carbon tax and no great improvement on my daughter’s disability payments, etc. He has got to GO!
Gen Z and Millennials are losing their inheritances with this budget. Drs will either download the Capital Gains to Provinces or cut and run altogether. This is a disaster and the youngers are wide awake. Go Gen Z and Millennials its your time now.

With reference to decriminalizing hard drugs. Crime statistics and opioid deaths in Vancouver are self evident. Now Toronto wants to do the same.
Years ago, the City of Vaughan (located north of Toronto) blocked gambling and also the sale of hemp/marijuana. Crime statistics in Vancouver and Toronto tell the story.
The citizens of Vaughan do NOT want to see hard drugs legalized in Toronto. There should be consistent criminal legislation in Ontario.
