No, it's not...
They were old enough that their looks aren't going to change much until they're significantly older and have much more wrinkles, hair loss, etc...
It's actually the opposite and expected that they're still recognizable from their roles at this point.

This is such a perfect movie. I'm disappointed they changed it and remade it. Maybe it will relate to this generation but honestly this one was so good that my 13 year old neice completely identified with it as did (& I find this heartbreaking) so did my 5th granddaughter. That's far too young to be understanding this movie.
