ya i used to play ping pong at this school i went to yes we had a ping pong table i thought it was dumb till i started and god damn its actually really fun when u get into it i love this sport takes alot of hand eye coordination
@mitdafocas A lot of players have different rubber on each side of the paddle. For instance: an offensive "fast" rubber on the red forehand side for attacking and a rubber with long pimpels on the black backhand side for defending is a common variation. Wich rubber to use depends on your playing style
and also the thing is, most people never get the chance to realize this because they never get to play the really really good players, but even if you take away technique, what separates pros from good players is that the same swing from the two different players, even though it looks the same, the pro's swing will cause the ball to spin something like 30-40 more rpms, which makes a huge difference. To a non pro, it would look about the same, and they get confused when they mess up.
yeah thats exactly what I am saying. Even though the stroke looks about the same, pros have better timing in their swing, wrist movement, etc. So the end result is that the ball spins a lot faster, which in turn for the not pros, even though it looks similar to the loops they usually get, its not and forces errors.
One of the best matches I have ever seen. But the match appeared as though it was played to the gallery. Was it so? When a lot of prize money is involved, I really did not understand why the players were not appearing to play seriously.
Basically any one of their shots, if played against Ma Long, would get them blown right off the table. Watch a video of him playing a first or second round match in a tournament... it's insane.
yet I am very sure that these people wouldn't even make it into the top 500. Especially if you considered the fact that there are thousands of semi pro players in China, who if they came to the US would be capable of being National Champion considering the amount of talent the US has at the moment. These players don't even bother with short game, which is what really matters at the top level, who can control the point at the beginning to attack first
Camera work and editing were excellent. Riveting action...mad skills. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us.
And great filmed and cutted as well.
very good video quality!

Great rallies here. Table tennis seems to get popular in USA.
@3isico yeah i had the feeling that the red side was for offensive moves, makes sense. thanks
Which bat should I get? A Butterfly Timo Boll 500 or a Schildkrot Waldner 600?
They are both around $30

This video is double the length it needs to be. There was no need to repeat every single clip.
