    This is a pretty nuts amount of tools. While I know that getting into the hobby you don't need all of these, I do often feel like there are a lot of tools I still need even though I am just getting into it.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hadn't realized how many I had, until I made this video :P And I forgot a few more stuff too! The bare minimum is good solder, a decent soldering iron and a few basic hand tools. Sadly many people skimp on the solder and it is one of the most crucial parts. I have tried myself several Chinese cheap solder and it is like mud, awful.

    • @RavenWindrunner
      @RavenWindrunner 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@muteFPV I recently bought some mg chemicals lead solder and had only ever used cheap solder before that. I was surprised that everytime I tried to pull away the soldering iron I would gets little tail of solder trailing off the blob.

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RavenWindrunner you mean now with the new better solder? It happens to me too sometimes and I think it is a matter of temperature of the soldering iron.

    • @RavenWindrunner
      @RavenWindrunner 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@muteFPV yeah it was surprising to me because I thought it would make soldering easier but it's actually made it a bit trickier. I'll try adjusting my soldering iron.
      Would you suggest going a bit hotter so that the solder would remain hot for a bit longer?

    • @licensetodrive9930
      @licensetodrive9930 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heya :) Yeah Thingiverse's speed has taken a nosedive. I've been digging through your videos, your LED gate ideas are great, especially like the infinity one. A couple of years ago I made some whoop gates using: pound shop (dollar store) battery powered 20x LED strings wrapped round and taped to lengths of garden wire nailed to blocks of wood for stability. Cheap & good, just not very easy to store. You can see them in my recent Mobula 6 videos.
