Thank you for this video chef! My sous and head chef have been on me at work about my organization and getting settled in my station. This helped out a lot! Thank you
Exactly. I’ve worked places where it falls apart EVERY Friday night, and NOBODY seems to want to do anything. Even if you, one person, steps up a notch, everyone around you will step to match.
Praetor no problem! As far as the no brained mistakes- stop, take a breath and try not to overthink everything. Sometimes u can have too much going on upstairs and u will make small silly mistakes bc ur too focused on not fvcking up again.
Another awesome video man!!! Nowadays so many cooks wether young or old are perfectly fine with complacency(flying under the radar) know what I mean? This is what separates the cooks from chefs. 👍🏾
Great video. I agree with what you are saying. But I think its also really important to have meaningful practice. Exactly what are you going to practice getting better at and how are you going to measure it. How are you going to gauge how well you practiced each day. Evaluating the practice is important you can just go through the motions. Peak performance by Brad Stulberg and Steve Magness deals with lot of interesting concepts when it comes to practice and learning how to perform at a high level. Love the channel. Keep it up. It is over 9000!
Justin, I went from not knowing what a 6th pan was to working as a cdp in fine dining. After 3 months, I snapped and tried to work in a lower stress environment. Unfortunately, everywhere else I went to work seemed to not care or had lowered their standards to the point where I could no longer go to work for 10-12 hours where people comparatively did not give a shit....advice?
Couldn’t agree more on challenge forcing improvement. Annnnd you know the saiyans were named after vegetables? Vegeta would train in the antigravity chamber en route to battles and proceed to whoop ass as well.

Thanks for this Video Justin! Having a rough week. Always fvcking up something on the prep.
Praetor as long as u don’t fvck up twice on the same thing brother. That’s called growing pains. Be diligent and focus!!!
Justin Khanna damn!!! Couldn’t have said it better. I like that! “Competition is yesterday” HEARD!!!
Thanks Justin! but what if I was making a no-brainer mistake? what should I do?
Thank you John for the word buddy!
