I don't own any trucks worth a $2,000.00-$3500.00 paint job. It looks decent but nope I'd rather spend that kind of money on drivetrain to get me where I want to go. One trip to my cabin and that paint would look like shit. Of course those rigs wouldn't get to my cabin. My old roads would beat the plastic off that avalanche and the hummer would drown in the river crossing.

I did my 1995 Dodge Dakota 4x4 in a roll on bed liner type and it looks really good!! just got to finish up a few more things. stupid dodge paint was coming off everywhere!! now it's looking amazing...and it was done for about $60.

I actually bought mine from Walmart...I put two good coats on. I'm going to do a couple more coats soon. definitely cheap and easy...buy the kit. its actually cheaper that way.

I would say 1 gallon...but it's always better to have extra around. plus make sure you sand and clean your surface REALLY GOOD... also make sure it's not to hot...try to apply in a vented shaded area...then let it out in direct sunlight to dry.

I've sprayed over 1200 vehicles and a few water using linex/max, a talented sprayer like myself can fill in and over swirled or sink-ins, with fillers or cake on with no issues 👍
Plastidip comes off easier and easier the more coats you apply... if you do less than 4 or so coats its a nightmare. The thicker you put it on the more durable and easier to peel.

bedliner can stop bullets. Try coating a piece of half inch plywood with a few coats and then shooting it with a .22 or a 9mm. I'm serious. Make your own armor before shootouts with your enemies.
It also works great for coating metal tins of ganja before boxing and shipping them to far away places.
There's a couple helpful tips for you folks out there.
You're a special kind of stupid, son. While Line-x doea have a formula that is used in shrapnel and blast proofing/ bulletproofing, it is in no way available to civilians.

Plasti dip done correct peels very easy.(u probably didn't apply enough coats) also dip remover would have saved your fingers. And plasti dip done right is smooth like vinyl . Auto flex done buy a professional is the best liquid wrap. Gas resistant. U can cut buff sand and wax it . Most who try dip as a diy project have the same issue u did.
I coat almost everything that I have around the house that is plastic. Everything from my solar panel for my motion lights to to the roof on my dog's house. Pretty much anything exposed to the nature's elements. It works wonders.
Do you ever liner the frames/fenerwells/ etc of vehicles? Video? I've done it on my last F150 but not on my 13 Fx4 yet.

first off, I am subbed to you're page and have been for a while now. But I thought that you you were so wrong about plasti dip analysis and I'm so happy that Fonzie from DYC did a response video to what you said. I have a DYC Kit and it works great if you know what you're doing but if you didn't put on at least 6 or 7 coats, then it won't peel right.
Custom Offsets you need about 8 coats on that big truck and 4 gallons aren't going to give you 8 coats. you needed about 6 gallons not 4. I used 4 gallons on my wife's 2012 Honda accord. You did it wrong brother and this is why you had problems. I'm going to buy my wheels and tires from you guy's when I finish my 1984 k10 Chevrolet Silverado and as long as you're product is good, I'll defend you against anyone who doesn't give a correct answer about you.
Custom Offsets just go to Dip your car and click on the DYC channel

Bed lined Chevy avalanche and H2... both with large shiny rims. Don't hurt your pretty mall crawlers. Better bed line them so no one scratches them with their doors in the parking lot.

I did my entire truck with scorpion liner myself about 4 years ago. It's holding up well except where the rust is coming thru in wheel wells. I thought same, grind it down and then cover with rustolem rust inhibitor plus the Bed liner. Wish I would have done it correct the first time lol
John N I was thinking if doing the lower portion of my 09 Dodge Ram because the paint is starting to come off. Since I am a newbie to this type of stuff I thought sanding off the rust and putting down a primer was the right way to do it. Any suggestions on what I should do differently so I can say I did it right the first time?
fun fact rhino liner/lineX etc was developed for armored military vehicle i.e tanks as a spall liner to stop fragments from chipping off and injuring the the crew inside,from a tank round even if it doesn't penetrate it,the impact fractures off small pieces of metal from the inside of the steel armor the harder you make the steel the more brittle it becomes!

I saw a neighbor line-x his old truck (standard black color) and it looked good for about a six months but then it started to fade quite a bit (lots of sun in South Texas). The durability is great; he takes it offroad and through the mud all the time and you can't see scratches/etc. How does yours hold up to the sun-fade?
What is the best Bedliner spray to spray my bed? - Is it recommended or beneficial to spray it with the cans or buy a new bedliner? For a Chevy 1500 short bed.
Your best bet would be to talk to a local body shop or check out some forums and see what other people are using for bedliner on their trucks!
How are those amp tires compared to the atturo? I'm looking for more of a quieter mud tire.... if that's possible. I've watched videos of the atturo and they seem to be pretty quiet but the amps do look more aggressive. I'm sure anything will be better than the mud grapplers I'm currently running.

what suspension is on the H2? i was thinking about getting the kryptonite stage 3 kit with fox shocks, will this work? my H2 is an 03 and has some rust underneath, do you recommend rust convertor or what do you do under your H2 to keep it from getting worse? I have known for some time i am going to put the truck to a matte gray/green but this bed-liner looks like a great option for durability

When plastidip isn't coming off, it is probably due to it not having enough layers of it painted the first time.
ALSO: Dip dissolver from DipYourCar.com works great + power washing.

Do you guys have any advice/videos on lining the inside of your wheel wells? Just bought a 2018 Silverado and a buddy told me to take out the wheel well liners and line the inside of the body to keep the dreaded fender paint bubbles from happening. Thoughts?
If you can right off the dealer lot, it may help, other than that there is likely some corrosion already started and covering it will not prevent it from eventually eating through.
Did mine with for 150$ I have a 92 land cruiser. Just used rest oleum turbo bed liner, all you need is one Sandpaper and a few cans

I have a 90s Toyota pickup that I want to bedline, frame and all body metal, and the fuel pump lines too.
The question is: should I do this now to prevent rust while I get ready to do the heavy mods, or should I wait until I've gotten it modded?
It's gonna be a little higher, gonna coax some actual power out of the 22-re, put on an auxiliary gas tank, custom flatbed and toolbox, mudders and moderate spacers.
That's a tough call honestly!
Best thing to do is, wire brush off all sureface rust, or use a orbital palm sander, then you want to get a converter. I prefer por 15. Great product. A gallon goes a long way considering the 125 dollar price tag. Than you can apply a spray on liner. Just make sure to use a heavy grit sandpaper paper. 80 grit or tougher before you spray or else you won't have proper adhesive. Yet some products come with a glue as well called an adhesive promotor. But in all honesty I'd leave it to a professional. I fix diy spray jobs almost daily. And every customer thanks me over and over. No one really contemplates the work that goes into bed lining. I am a certified gator Hyde tech. With 5 years on my reactor system. I have yet to hear a horrible story about the liner flying off at high speeds like my linex counterparts. It might look good when you do it yet one day, and it WILL happen, it will fly off while driving. Diy kits are absolute shit. If it goes on with a brush or a rollee...it's garbage. What I spray comes out at 180 degrees at 2600 psi and dries within ten seconds. Tough as nails. Gator guys get it done cuz.
I always paint first, and i do the underneath aswell. Doing repairs is always easier with bolts covered in paint than rust
Is that stuff technically flexible? Can it withstand movement if you sprayed something that would see some action?

plastic dip comes of easy with goof off sticker remover and a pressure washer

how scratch resistant is it... I know it is bedliner so it should be pretty durable.... Here in Arizona we have a LOT of plants & trees with huge thorns that tear up paint. Just wondering how scratches from brush shows up if any....

How would that hold up to scratching? Id like that on a hunting rig that i take through the trees and get some nasty scratches.
