Thanks so much for posting! Can't wait to see our trombonist in 2 weeks!

The fanfare and the school song are dragging. They need to increase the tempo for more excitement.

To be fair, they are doing full-90°-chair high-step marching with upper body rotation and 270° right turns. As for the fanfare, that's personal preference. The IU Fanfare has always been about that tempo.

Unfortunately not near as exciting as a Purdue Pregame!

Purdue's got a pretty good pregame! Love a good loud fanfare to start a show. The train formation near the beginning is a lot of fun to watch, the drum formation looks really crisp, and the traditional Block P is iconic. The "flying" P? not so much.
Floating Indiana blows Floating Purdue out of the water though -- In Floating Indiana, the letters have to come together in either 8 or 16 counts, and most of the letters immediately flip and march as soon as they're in position. In Floating Purdue they start out fully-formed and just squashed together. Where's the fun in that?
Also, no 270-degree 3-spins for high-step right turns at Purdue? No chair-step swagger? Sad! You've abandoned your Big Ten roots.
In all seriousness though, the AAMB is one of the best. I just hope our respective football teams keep up their recent trends this season until the Bucket game! Thanks in advance for driving it down to Bloomington for us ;)
