S1 - Ep 215 - Fauresmith - One of Only Three Such Towns in the World!

It was only a 13km drive from Jagersfontein to Fauresmith, which made for a change! We read that Fauresmith is one of only three towns in the world to have a train line running down the centre of the main road! As you come into the town, this is the first thing you notice. The second is the absolutely stunning old Town Hall and then the majestic steam engine parked in the centre of town. We had to spend some time admiring this piece of engineering from way back when. Then we explored the rest of the town. The church is a magnificent structure with very interesting angles and very well-maintained gardens. This little community is a proud one. It is neat, the local businesses are operating and the people are very warm and friendly.
