To be fair Cami won the match and plus everyone on tour seems to love Ons. I'm sure at the quarter-finals whatever the result, we'll see the classic Giorgi handshake again lol. Either way it's still a rare moment in tennis when Giorgi gives a warm handshake so I'll enjoy it while I can haha
Wow! This is the first time I've seen Camila Giogi hit the ball with both power and precision so consistently. She is such a great mover around the court and a real delight to watch when she's playing this well.
@@ClemsonTiger75Yep she was on fire the whole week so she just dominated every opponent. I remember also that her father wasn't here : maybe it helped her being calm and more consistent.
Ons has been struggling throughout the match while Camila barely set a foot wrong and totally dominating the play! Well deserved victory over WTA#6! Well done Camila Giorgi 👏
Giorgi is legit one of my favorite players on the tour and gets the speedy award from me. She’s the quickest mover in my opinion. You can see her footwork moving like lighting fast.
A lot of people don't know that Camila as a child was an excellent artistic gymnast with very severe Russian coaches. She was so good that she was under observation from the Italian olympic gymnastic officials. Eventually she decided to concentrate on tennis. This also explains her startling fitness and quick court movements.
@@RobertLonghi according to your endless message about her background like she is an accredible olympic athlete... maybe but your point was just that? My point is her attitude sucks and she's not backing up any of this by her performances.
I would also say, British tennis commentators are the best, especially on radio. If you ever really want to hear a game called blow by blow correctly, just tune into the radio commentary for Roland Garros or Wimbledon. Amazing.
Finally, Giorgi is incorporating more finesse and touch into her game. She packs a nice punch with her groundstrokes but isn't very consistent, which is why she loses more than she should, imo. Great match from her here.
Well, Venus just said that she doesn’t understand how Giorgi isn’t number 01 in the world 😅. Her and Penko are basically the only players hitting winners as their racquets are shotguns 😅😂
I believe that last year's defeat of Ons in the Wimbledon final reflected in subsequent performances in the negative direction of this talented tennis player.
Camila has begun to take her time in rallies and not rushing things in this tournament. She's actually putting in a lot of work with regards to her game which is good to see.
Camila certainly looks pretty in peach! And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is the kind of match we expect from such a gifted player yet so rarely see. Shoulda been a Top 10 talent for years. Instead, poorly coached and devoid of a sound strategic approach, we've gotten nothing but mixed results and thwarted potential. You looked awfully good here, Camila. And appreciate the nice exchange at the net. Can it be that even you respect Ons the way all the other WTA players do? But frankly, surprised that Ons was finished in straight sets. Where she at??
She has been struggling with inuries this past year. They are very serious, too. It's really sad to see because she is mentally strong but her body is failing her.
@@jesuslovesmebut8180 Nadal done the same to his uncle and was the same story she deserves to accomplish her full potential. Hopefully she will realize it and give him a nice retirement and allow herself to go all the way
Love both players but surprised Jabeur lost who I think is the superior player with more diversity in her game. But when Giorgi is on she is hard to beat! Giorgi is can hammer it out when she is definitely on!!!
The closest thing you'll come to a warm Giorgi handshake, and even a consoling pat on the back for Ons. Don't know if it says more about Ons than her, but I'm here for it.
I will say the umpire pronounces Jabeur's french name very well. I am wondering if, in general, British umps are better with French names that umps in most other countries (besides France of course)...
The new Giorgi, she didn't get tentative with the lead, she kept hitting out. Ons was hitting some nice shot based on the highlights. Big win for Giorgi, she even smiled alittle. She has the talent, but she needs to keep the confidence up.
Go giorgi!!!!! I think she's really tough on herself, you can tell it when she loses to low ranked players, but this match should help her confidence. Would like to see her both weeks at wimbledon
When she hits well, she is capable of winning matches. I feel like Giorgi doesn't deviate enough. What if she showed more emotion, or was coached by someone different?
So weird that a match like this Isn't on the centre court. The WTA event is a stacked 500 event whereas the ATP is a pretty average 250 and yet they split the centre court time 50/50.
omg did this actually happen? Camila's ground strokes were solid. And did she actually tap Ons' shoulders after the handshake? She's more affection (when she wins) ;)
Ons was tackling the different types of methods in order to reshape the movement of the encounter. Perhaps, she might have chosen to warm herself up for Wimbledon in this round. I don't surmise that Ons Jabeur has explicitly considered this clash against Giorgi.
Le quote scommesse erano tutte a sfavore, ma per Camila Giorgi vale la dichiarazione della grande tennista francese Alizé Cornet: quando Camila sta bene è impossibile da affrontare, ti toglie il fiato. Yes, too many shots to choose from which probably is confusing, rather than someone like Sharapova, who used her limited shots to great effect, with no second guessing. But then again, Sharapova was mentally very tough.
Wow an actual somewhat warm handshake from Giorgi, I’m shook

Giorgi also hugged Zhang Shuai in RG 2022. She used to has cold handshake because of her personality not her bad attitude
butter face Giorgi
That's because she got dragged last week.
warm just because she won otherwise 🤣
With Giorgi I’m always waiting for when the wheels are going to come off. Good on her for not letting it happen this time.
