    Thank you Masud, I’m looking to do a physiotherapy degree so I’m quite keen on learning as much as I can about the degree but also the field, prior to getting on the degree. I’d love it if me and you could connect over zoom or WhatsApp as I think you’d be able to help me out massively! Keep up the great work with the videos! Oh and could you post one about which books are best for study? Thanks

      Hey Rodney, that’s awesome you’re trying to learn more. I’d be happy to help you but I’m normally quite a busy person so doing a zoom is a little difficult.
      However, you’re welcome to send me a private message on Instagram and I’ll answer your questions as best I can.

      Masud Saeedi Physiotherapy thanks Masud. I don’t have Instagram at the moment unfortunately. Only social media I have is WhatsApp and Zoom and of course TH-cam if that counts! Please let me know which books you recommend for study. Thanks again

    Hi Masud, I've just recently gotten onto a Bsc physiotherapy course starting in September after completing another degree. I never took Biology A-level but have done enough neuroscience biology for them to let me on. I'm currently trying to catch up with my level of human biology before I start the course so I'm not at a disadvantage, however, I was wondering how much cellular respiration knowledge I will need. I'm planning to read up on respiration and cardiovascular function from an a-level textbook but want to make the best use of my time. Is it necessary to know things such as the role of ATP, , mitochondrion structure, cycle and aerobic/anaerobic respiration within the physiotherapy course? Thanks so much for your help and sorry for the long message !!

      @masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congrats firstly Gemma! Generally there is usually one module in the first year of nearly all allied health professions courses which is predominantly on human biology..
      To answer your question id say as much as you can but don’t stress yourself out until you actually do those things in uni.. a little bit of reading here and there and doing quizzes is fine..
      from a physio standpoint key things which are good to have understanding of are:
      - normal bone healing process & timeframe
      - normal soft tissue (tendons) recovery timeframe
      - I think you’re right to go down cellular level ... how muscular contractions work and the hormones involved ( calcium for eg. ) - you do study this I believe in the first or second year
      The module on human bio we did in my first year was shared across all the other allied health professionals so it will be general anatomy like respiratory system, nervous system, cardio vascular system...
      I can’t remember more than that but I think Gemma your lecturers will be the best people to email.
      Let me know if that doesn’t help and I’ll try and make it more clear :)

    Hey. Great vid ! I would like to know if I would struggle more as a student who hasn’t done pe alevels compared to a student who has chosen pe? I am studying a level biology though, but there’s not much about muscles and physical health compared to pe a level. Thanks

      @masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sarah, no you wouldn’t. You can practice learning names of muscles very quickly - quizzes, videos, apps. When you’re on the course it gets more detailed. Everyone starts near abouts on the same level

      @masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lekshmi, there are a lot of questions I could ask you . In brief:
      1) research some 2 year pre reg physios courses
      2) make sure you can afford to study for 2 years full time if you’re not qualified (time, money cost)
      3) apply via UCAS
      4) interview
      5) get offer
      6) study at your university
      This process takes about a year depending on when you want to start ( I assume you’d like to start in 22’ as the deadline for 21’ cohort is fast approaching or has finished.
      You can contact universities or read about more info on their websites
      Hope this helps you
