I've got empire extractors and cats, hsv centre section and hurricane mufflers on my v6 calais. The v8 centre section changes the note of the v6 and makes it a bit more of a deeper rumble and sounds mint. You should try it on yours
@That Random Aussie I had the empire extractors and high flows on my v6 as per my original comment. Wish I never made the decision to buy them. Looked good but was horrible. Sounded like a honda on steroids and the quality was so bad it ended up snapping and completely separating at the welds for the cat flange. Not only that, because of vibrations and thermal expansion, the amount of nuts and bolts I went through because they kept rattling themselves loose. Live and learn I guess
Washers basically give it an exhaust leak and those straight pipes are just a rear muffler delete theres still another muffler and cats to get rid of to straight pipe it. Bloody young fellas 😂
Should I straight pipe my 2002 VX 3.8? It sounds pretty mean already but I wanna hear it a little more, would the straight pipe keep a similar sound but louder?

It sounds like shit mate, put the muffler back on it. It's a passenger vehicle, it's not a V8 more is it a sports car... V6 commodores are embarrassing with exhausts lmao

I put engine back Empire 3" on mine. Much better but sounds horrible on the highway lol -its all on my channel.

Take your reasons off and converter And keep that straight pipe. I have it on my three point six and it pops and crackles and sounds crazy
