On the intake sensor, instead of using a metal tool use a rag or your dry fingers and squeeze then pull the o ring to stretch it. This gets rid of the need for a tool that could possibly knick it!

yeah you do not need an oil catch can . i’ve owned the 1st gen 3.5 , and now a 2020 2.7. catch cans , maybe on a first gen. the port injection that ford added to these motors a few years back is supposed to cool/ wash the valves and no more carbon buildup . the catch cans literally blew my passenger side turbo on my 11’. it was so cold out the lines froze and the pressure built up and had nowhere to go except out of the turbo oil seal . after 2500$ new turbo i will never buy a “ catch can “ again , and i own some small turbo 4 cyl stuff. imo over rated and not needed.

Doing mods is like getting your first tattoo. Once you get one you will want to get more. I started with intake, then went to Roush exhaust, then a Livernois tune. Next up, mishimoto intercooler. Congrats!

@@thekevincornell A performance exhaust on anything other than the V8 is a waste of time and money, as the sound is embarrassing and pathetic. The Borla on the v8 however is way too much for the average driver, but my neighbor has one on her v6 and you can barely tell it's not stock, other than the crappy vibrating sound if she floors it. I have a flowmaster force 2 on my v8 and its way more noticeable and it is the quietest kit they make. Both are 2019's. If you want performance gains and a bit of extra intake sound on an eco then research a good intake, I put a roush on my V8 before exhaust and tuning and personally noticed a great increase in sound and throttle response before any of my later mods. The exhaust on a 6 cylinder should be the last place you go after other mods, not the first. They do not ever sound good imo. I would invest in a tuner and custom tunes before putting an exhaust on.

No. I’ve had zero issues with this install.

Did anyone's check engine light come on after the install? Any advice?

Is this the same kit you installed on your F-150? What year is your truck? Did you seat the sensor properly? I would double check that little rubber ring that comes with the kit to make sure there isn't an air leak of some sort. Did you hook the sensor back up before you started the car? Hopefully, it's something simple. Have you tried getting the code read at a local auto parts store?

@@thekevincornell Yes it is the exact same kit on my 2018 f150 2.7. Yes I have doubled checked everything. you mean that tiny rubber thing you put where the sensor will fit in? If so I checked and rechecked. Truck is currently getting a Leveling kit but the shop said they will run the code for me. I know it has to do with this since it came on right after I installed it. Looking at the instructions it says to disconnect the negative battery cable I have not tried that yet but I will. If I need to switch it back out I lost the little gasket on the sensor... Gotta get another one of those if I can't figure out why this doesn't work.

@@thekevincornell So I disconnected the battery, rechecked everything once again still have the engine light on. The code is: P0113 Intake Air temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Input. Guess I'm calling K&N

Take the “Hat” off . That’s what I call it , it’s the plastic cover over intake . it holds down heat , new trucks no longer have them on .
Kinda like when your hot you don’t want to have a hat on right ?! Besides nobody see it
