I'm picking my rt up this week from the mechanic had to buy a new engine as the old one dropped a valve seat
I have a 2005 Magnum, and NONE of this is true for my car. It doesn't have a single chip in the paint anywhere, absolutely NO RUST anywhere, and all the trim is perfect, no peeling at all. All the lift cyclinders also still work perfectly. Never lost a fog light, either. Of course, I maintain my car and don't just tear it up. I've removed the trim, and installed Lambo style door on the front. Very, very good cars, if you take care of them.
I drive it everyday in rain snow and it has 270k miles on it so stop telling me what’s not true
I have a black 05. Love the car. I also have maintained it but its always had starting problems winters. I love my car.

My Dad passed his 08 to me as my first car a few years back and it is difficult to find some parts here and there. I love it, kind of frustrating that I can't even get a hood latch at the auto parts store anymore. However it is a gorgeous car.

Thinking of picking up a 2008 magnum sxt with 211,000 miles on it for 2 grand. Body has the rust you mentioned but seems pretty lit. Your videos on these cars has me excited!!
Nice 👍 I’m doing body work on my magnum in the next couple of weeks, I’m gonna break down and cut out all the rust and fix it, because I love my magnum more than any of my other cars. Keep me posted on what you are going to do
I own a 2005 RT . My daughter drove it here finally 2 years of college plus 1 year after college. Then I got it back, then my nephew got hold of it for 2 years of high school and his first 2 years of college. The motor finally died at 350k miles. Now that I finally have it back, I've put a new motor in it, It's currently being painted F8 Green. Can't wait to get may baby back. Magnum best station wagon ever! I live in Texas thank goodness we don't have to deal with that rust!!

The front end is terrible , I have 08 and fully agree , but it’s just like that on the chargers and 300 off those years also , not bad cars tho having problems finding a front bumper off my year tho lol

We bought a 2006 SXT Magnum and just bought a 2005 Mag SXT for parts as the underside of the car is rotted, so I've got some parts to be pulling!! Our 06 Mag has the rust at the rear where the body meets the bumper, but the 05 has very minor surface, gonna cut it out, treat it and weld it on our 06. Already started pulling the parts Mag apart!

I bought a Magnum, an '05 R/T, off a used car lot in Sacramento, Ca back in January 2022. I lucked out. It had only 82,786 miles on it, 2 owner car that spent most of it's life in Repo auctions. I love it. It's like it's only spent 3-5 years out of the factory. There's nothing like a good, used, V-8 powered LX platform car. It's none stock-clean, hardly a complaint.

I have a 2005 hemi in the charcoal gray mine doesn’t have rust like that any where it’s Been sitting for a while now and I keep it under a car cover but I don’t drive it in the winter at all

Nice video bro....I have an 06 RT...also the key switch goes bad...I had the rust issue on the quarter also had it repaired and PCMs are also shit.....had replaced it also but I love my Mag...199k still 🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬

Looks like normal wear and tear + salt on your roads, i have a 06 300C here in Australia and no rust at all but no salt over here 🙂

This car is the first thing I always think of when someone talks about dodge, when I was in middle school I would walk home from school. And on a real hot day my cousin pulls up and says if I need a ride, I get in the backseat of that thing and look in the trunk and all I can think is what the hell 😂.

Damn I guess dodge never updated their cars to make these cars less easy to break it. Because you’re saying the Magnums are easy to break in and then today you got chargers/challengers today getting broken into and stolen everyday😂
Lol 😂 big facts, dodge have never has great security systems 😂 they suck and I got a alarm on my magnum. But that was a inside job by the dealership they want my infotainment system. Right on for the input and support I appreciate it
It's crazy how everybody has so many problems with their Magnum I live in Canada it's cold as f*** the only problems I've really ever had with my Magnum is an alternator and a starter nothing major at all 07 btw have ot about 5yrs rn

All my AC vents came off...dont even fit when you replace them, the dash "warps" from the sun. So cheaply made all-plastic
The stereo blows for a 6 speaker Boston setup (good stock speakers), the head unit only goes up to 38 and has no ;power....

damn dude... I have yet to have a single issue you talk about these cars being NOTORIOUS about on my 07 SXT in the deep south humidity and rain, rust, trim falling off the side of your doors, first off. "NOTORIOUS for rusting" NO THEY ARE NOT, rust IS a condition of WHERE you live. not the car. trim, NEVER glue it. 3M double sided tape, use denatured alcohol to clean the area before taping. the metal trim will lose its paint. its call sun fade. that does happen, but it happens on most all cars, when you repair rust, you have to dig out the rust, treat. clean, fill if needed, primer THEN SEAL it, paint or some other type of sealer, just leaving it primer is not gonna stop it from rusting again, that will help it to rust faster. the top dash vents yes are NOTORIOUS for breaking. that one Ill give you. both of mine have broken and been replaced. as for breaking into. the magnum is an lx. meaning, magnum, charger, 300, challenger all the same drive lines, some interchangeable parts, front doors on the 300, charger, magnum and so on. inside door panels do stain easy. window controller, no issues. you were to forceful with it, suspension, ANY CAR. its a wearable part, they ALL wear out. period. its not just one car its ALL cars !!!! so please do not say its just that car. that is misleading and wrong, ANY car you buy, ALWAYS go over it with a fine tooth comb, its NOT just the magnums. its everything. cars, trucks, bikes, boats. there is nothing wrong with the LX series dodge, nothing at all thats not just as bad or good as any other manufacture. I have had my 07 since 07. front suspension ONCE, trans service every 50K, general maintenance is a must on anything. my car has been the epitome of reliable and dependable !!!!!!!!

I have a 2006 dodge magnum that wasn't taken care of before I got it. It's a daily driver and a project car. I'm rebuilding it and one day it will have nothing Stock under the hood but I'm a sucker for a wagon and just had to have this money pit of a car lol

SRT magnums are still around 15-20k. I have an sxt with a high output engine. it came with a DVD player built into the middle console

@@twongreen9968 beautiful cars, but they're mostly garbage . Parts are getting hard to find. The abs module in mines went out and I had to take it to the dealer. The transmission (nag1) is really sensitive to anything related to speed sensor. A faulty abs can shut the tranny down. Which is bs

Good things to know, i just inherited a 05 sxt i didnt know they are so easy to break into, do you know why?
Weak security system , very easy to program a key for it without having the car keys, plus the factory alarm only goes off if the door is popped you can bust out the windows and no alarm goes off. Just terrible 😞

My mom just passed down her magnum and I’ve been running around trynna figure out why my magnum squeaky as fuck but I think ima replace suspension what would you recommend looking for dude I’m young but you have literally every problem I have they’re minor but if it’s left uncared for forsure it’ll be a problem
Take it to a body shop and they’ll tell you every problem
Undercoating Wool Max or Fluid Film (both lanolin) woulda saved that car.

I'm refreshing all of the grounds on the car right now,,,,this engine hardly uses any oil and runs so quiet,,,,its something ridiculous,,,,I replaced the computer last year,,,the computer came from Flagship one,,,,it improved,,,,one thing I noticed hear last week,,,, the throttle body seems spastic and looks really clean,,,,

Map Sensor,, that sucker broke in my hand it was so brittle

@@tlitesworld British marque that was part of GM, i.e the Vauxhall Insignia was rebadged and sent to USA to become the Buick Regal (2013- now) including the estate/wagon version. Some used to be rebadged as Saturn's in the states
Because it is. For Europe they used the 300 front clip and called it an estate. The doors are interchangeable. The fenders are damned close. Only different at the headlights
