PlayStation 4 emulator
This emulator is for Linux only. This is a closed source project as of the making of this video. However the emulator itself is available for download. Please keep in mind that this is very early and most games will not work correctly. Check the compatibility of games in the spine download.

2. You need to dump your games from a jailbroken PS4. Watch this tutorial for how to dump your games • How to Backup & Instal...
3. Keep the contents of your dumped game in raw file format. Do NOT create a PKG file.
4. If you're on Ubuntu or a distribution based off of Ubuntu you need to install libsdl2. Simply pull up the terminal and type in sudo apt-get install libsdl2-dev. This will install what you need.
5. To run the emulator move over the firmware folder over to the root of your game folder. Also move over the files from the Spine folder.
6. Once you have the firmware folder and spine files in your game directory. Open your terminal to your game directory. You can simply right click the game folder and click "open in terminal"
7. To launch the game type in terminal ./spine eboot.bin - เกม

Unbelievable! Hope they go public & patreon soon.
I agree!
cool video lad
thanksss
Hi, Thanks for the guide. Is there any way you could provide (or at least show me how to obtain) the firmware files for 7.55? Apparently, some games like P5D and Cuphead don't work on older firmware.

Giving me this error while typing the ./spine fommand "error while loading shared libraries: libswscale.so.5: cannot open shared object file"
long way to go still.
what's the bare minimum firmware to even boot persona 5 royal?
This works on WLS Windows subsystem Linux?
I have no clue. I haven't tried it.
it works but its software accelerated. so performance is ass. and you need to do some extra stuff iirc.
just install linux to a usb stick or something for spine. wsl's performance isn't worth it.
how can i unpack pkg i want play dying light 2 but is only pkg on internet i tryied few programs but they wanted passcode
how do you set up controllers
Hey can you update the link for the 5.05 firmware?
Linux has different manufacturers. Which one is yours ? Kali ubuntu or another??
I used POP-OS which is Ubuntu based
What can I do if I have only the pkg file ? Anyways to dump on pc ?
Use PS4 PKG viewer to extract it.
How to download PS4 games
is it possible to run games that are pkgs
How do I install the lib file? Do I need to download a file off the internet or something? (Forgive me, I’m new to Linux/Ubuntu)
Never mind, I got it. Had a spelling error…
👍
I hope we get a windows build soon.
This software is very wine dependent so no, most likely no windows releases ever.
great, I love Linux
Very Linux dependent, you mean. Or more like very Unix dependant, since this is all mostly due to the PS4 using modified FreeBSD (which isn't Linux based but, well, BSD based). If it were very Wine dependant, then it'd practically be a Window app already, since Wine is composed entirely of reimplementations of Windows APIs and DLLs. I could certainly see an Xbox emulator being very Wine dependant, though.
I have a problem, when I try to load a game, it get me an error:.
/spine: error while loading shared libraries: libavcodec.so.58: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I have one question what is the folder that is called We Are Doomed and how do you download or get it
You have to dump the game yourself or you can find it online but I won't post links because it's piracy.
@@riley5415 do i actually needed a ps4 to dump the games and if not how do i find the games online
@@oblivion6683 r/facepalm
I doubt it but is this Windows 11 that you're running on bro?
Linux only, but you can use virtual machines, but it doesn't support VirtualBox
error while loading shared libraries: libsndio.so.6.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Which firmware have you linked in the description? Is it 5.05 or 7.55 also can you link newer firmware in the future thanks
It's 5.05. and yes I don't have access to a 7.55 ps4 to dump that firmware. But maybe if I find it somewhere I will link it.
Does anyone have a working link to the firmware, please?
i remember when it was still on tho, i had it on my windows pc but now i upgraded to linux mint and lost everything on my windows pc...
I updated the link for you
Do I need to download a game that is only supported for 5.05 or any version of ps4
I've only tested games 5.05 or below but if you use the 7.55 firmware that should work too.

Switched "temporaly" months ago, I ended up loving it and now I don't have plans of coming back.
Huh Linux only? That not good idea other people have windows not Linux
The developer said he plans to support windows later.
Can we play ff7r in this emulator?
No
@@riley5415 okie but because it's definitely that ryujinx and PS3 emulator support for Linux and windows so it's just got shocked for hearing only Linux ( I am a using the window so I don't know how the performance for this emulator is like PS3 emulator? Like it support upscale ?
