So today I learned 𝘈𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯 was a remake! Also, as a sci-fi-obsessed kid back in the 1980s, I watched a lot of black-and-white 1950s movies (I still love the aesthetic). But this is one that I guess I missed; thanks, as always, Barkey!
Marshall Thompson also starred in Fiend without a Face.I only ever saw the last 10 minutes of that film but was really impressed with the Brain Monsters, especially when shot with a 45 it looked so real. It! The Terror from Beyond Space is my favorite 50's sci-fi film followed closely by Earth Verses the Flying Sauces and Teenagers from outer Space.
Very cool Barkey! Isn't it weird that these movies harken back to a time where the sets were made out of cardboard and the rocket models had sparklers in their tailpipes--- but I bet you had a better time watching this than something new from Marvel which cost 200 MILLION dollars. The flip-flop of quality just gobsmacks me every time I even think about it. Part of the thing with ALIEN is that Dan O'Bannon wanted to prove that movies like this one were NOT condemned to be "B" movies by their very concept but instead were simply relegated to that by their lack of budget and resources. It was to prove that with the right director and adequate resources a Space Monster Movie could be as good/high quality as anything else. Now we have the opposite where sets, music and special FX are all primo but the directors script and execution are so crap that you long for the tin foil and cardboard sets of days gone by, back when they produced with Gusto!
They would not like it. The cast is all white, men are seen being heroic, we never try to understand the creature's "journey," and it was made before the Twitter Kids were born. So this one would be a hard pass for them.
Wow I was thinking Gen Zs would hate the two women making coffee and cleaning up, and "The Patriarchy". You're right the alien is the real victim; we invaded Its homeland, Its only trying to survive. :) HEE HEE Hee! @@BarkeyDog

My fave too.
One hour and nine minutes long, yet this movie has you on the edge of your seat.😊
Shawn Smith who plays Ann Anderson, is also known as Shirley Patterson and in 1943 played Linda Page in the Batman serial.
please keep this up
Have been looking for this breed of dog for months. Huh, must be really rare. Anyway thanks for the review, love the channel.

Duran Duran plays Mary, one of the crew?
"Please, please, tell me now"... that this is true.
"Union of the Snake" sounds like a sci-fi movie title.
Good 😊
1973. I can't wait 😄
Best sci Fi movie of the 50s.
😊❤great
This movie is a true classic, if IT is on, I sit down and watch it, but how would the gen Z kids like IT?
