  • On display at the Glasgow Riverside Museum is this builders model of HMS Sefton a type 24-class minesweeping sloop.
Hard to film due to it being in a glass case with a lot of reflections and flickering light near by. I hope you can see the detail, and dazzle paint scheme.
    History
The 24 class was a class of minesweeping sloops. They were derived from the preceding Flower-class sloop, but designed to appear double-ended. Twenty-four ships to this design (hence the class name) were ordered between December 1916 and April 1917 under the Emergency War Programme for the Royal Navy in World War I, although two of them were cancelled before launch. All were named after famous racehorses (winners of The Derby), but they were not named Racehorse class as the Admiralty realised that this could easily be confused in communications with the Racecourse class of paddle minesweepers, and they officially became the 24 class.

For those who're interested in model ships, most of the GRM collection are builders' models made and detailed by the shipyards themselves back in the day, and going from boats about a foot long to a 1/72 scale model of the RMS Queen Elizabeth.

Great video. Glasgow Transport Museum has a superb collection of builders models. Personally I much preferred the old Clyde Room at the Kelvin Hall which had more models on display and all displayed at floor level. But the new Riverside Museum is still excellent and well worth a visit. And you get to visit the Tall Ship Glenlee which is moored in the river at the museum.

If your using a camera to film, fit a polarizing filter it will reduce dazzle/glare.And another great video.
