regarding the power cutting out concern, a UPS is handy, and a decent one only costed me $40 about 10 years ago, still works like a champ

Daggerwin I think your a great player and your better than you think you are.However at times I think sometime you should try to get on with things and try to make money rather than focus ing to much on making it interesting because all your episodes are fabulous.

You can use the pick-up truck for some machinery/ add-ons too. Like the tipper. Also, it maybe cheaty, but you can just reset a vehicle to the shop from the menu to cut down on travel time. Espcially since you edit it out anyway. Great vids man, love the playlist.

If I were you Daggerwin, I'd take a loan in the beginning stage of the game. It is costly, but I think it adds to the realism of managing a farm in real life. Lot's of farmer have mortgages on their machinery.
As someone who also suffers from short blackouts/brownouts, I highly recommend a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). Not terrible expensive insurance for your hardware and your sanity.

Made a discovery today as FS17 was finally released on Steam and so now I'm playing. I dumped the soybeans in my farm silos into my tipper, hauled it to the train area by the cows. Then I dumped it there and then loaded it into the grain hopper of the train and hauled it to mill to the far left of the map (sorry, I forget the exact name of the field). Made a nice chunk of change that way!

Harvesting tip (also works for mowing): take out breaks to make it easier to turn, we do that in real life

I once harvested Corn for twi and a half hours straight. It was on f9 on Westbridge Hills so there was no shortage of it.

Do you gain anything from the crops by fertilising multiple times? Or are you just role playing?
Yes every time you fertilise the field it increases the yield by 30%. You can fertilise up to 3 times per crop bringing a total of 90% yiedl
if you do cover crop, does that count as one of fertilizing, or is it separate?
It counts as one 30% level, but the time it takes to do so isn't worth it (just do another fertilizer pass)
In FS15 a single fertiliser/sprayer run would double your yield for a given crop, they changed it in FS17 so to actually double your yield, you need to plough once and fertilise/spray three times
Ghrathryn Cal'drith you can change it so it only takes 1 pass to double your yields. it's in the settings
keep up the good work daggerwin don't forget you have chicken's on your farm check for eggs as that would be more income for your farm
the beacons on the harverter should only be on when the harvester getting full. This way they can show to the tractor drivers that is time to emptying.
Daggerwin are you able to ratchet strap down lets say a tractor on a low loader?

Is the ITRunner in game? And is there any news on Knaveswell Extended coming to FS17?
The hour meter does not give you the exact time because that's not how it works. It gives you Motohours, which are meant to give you a more accurate representation of the engine's use.
It is calculated using the formula
H=Time x (current rpm/max rpm)
So, if you use the tractor at max revs for one hour you will clock one motohour as you will have 1 x (1/1) which is one.
If you use the engine at half revs for an hour you will clock half a motohour because you end up with 1x(0.5/1)
How did you get early acces to the game ? :) any way I can get that? I have preordered the game on steam, but I want to play it as soon as possible :P

Hey dagger good videos, I don't think you noticed when renting the vehicle but there is also an extra cost for every hour you put on the vehicle. As well is there any reason why you don't hold onto your crops to sell at a high demand instead of just selling it right away?

crabbing is to avoid compaction? in rl that field would be ploughed or cultivated straight after harvest lol. crabbing it to get away from tight areas.

That's awesome that the Holmer sugar beet harvester and probably the other Holmer equipment are in the game and you don't have to buy them. In FS 15 it's a DLC and it costs 10:00
sell one of the Case's and buy a small masey or something just a bit plan having two the same pieces of machinery but keep up the good work great video🙌👍
It looks like you have chickens behind your house, do you do anything with them in future episodes?
I did a Potato harvest yesterday. Time given for the job was 215 min. I completed it in 85 min. Got a 55G time bonus for a 45G paying job. That is the only job so far that I have been given more money for the time bonus, than the actual payment.
And, another quick question. I am color blind. I want to purchase this game, but, while I watch you cycle thru the field colors, I get completely lost. Is there a color blind mode or mod that I can get?
hi daggerwin with the straw left on the field what i did on fs15 is get the pottinger euroboss and sell it all its a cheaper solution than buying a baler and makes a bit more money out of the field if you dont use the straw :)
Good video. I like the realism also. I live on a farm so it is sort of annoying when people go out and just be careless and do things non realistically.
Do you know if the lagg in multiplayer has been fixed in FS17?

Even if you weren't right next to a bio-plant while harvesting, you would think a contract would just give you a "Dump it here" area so you could continue. That was a main feature of the trailer eh, the dump anywhere... So that could have been a thing for the contracts. Instead of worrying about a trailer to tip in. :)

I don't think he is because it probably would not be compatible and it also seems a bit overkill for a non-total car game that has him walking around too

KWAKA - it's in the actual game. new system within, it enables you to download and install mods without having to exit. Or so I am lead to believe anyway.

I believe you are mistaken about the leasing costs. Look at it. It has a base cost of 2,900 pounds, an operating hour cost of 2,900 pounds and a per diem flat rate of 580 pounds. I believe the moment you rent it you will be charged 2,900 pounds. Then if you use it / operate it more than an hour that day you will be charged an additional 2,900 for each one simulation hour of use based on its Hobbs meter (the hour clock you see in the equipment). Any consecutive day will incur an additional nominal cost of 580 in addition to the 2,900 hourly charged for additional hours of operation per the Hobbs meter on that day.
initial lease - 2,900
day 1 additional hours (2) 5,800
day 2 lease 580
day 2 additional hours (1) 2,900
TOTAL COST: 12,180.
I like watching you harvest. Don't worry about it. but it gets annoying if you are turning it into a race and missing crop on the field. Starts to feel like and arcade game and youre just hoovering for cash. Keep it professional that way we learn something too. Thanks. And as usual love your work.
To get money. Maybe get all the gold nuggets,see if you can pick up firewood size logs and put them in the pickup truck and sell them. Also to get the fields cheaper remember that the more work you do for a farmer. the cheaper you get a field. just suggestions

The Crab-steer is to avoid crushing the crop. You'd be ruining a great deal the way you did it in the first few minutes

Daggerwin if you have a lot of short power outages maybe investing in a small back up power pack for your pc would be a good idea. can pick them up pretty cheap
