    ANNOYING THING: I've seen so many people complain about this on my FB group pages, and it drives me crazy too -- water spraying all over the back of the counter behind the kitchen sink faucet!! Aaarrrgghhh.

    • @BbGun-lw5vi
      @BbGun-lw5vi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Omg! Yes! This one! And also the back of the bathroom sink and the water collects there. I’ve figured out solutions to many annoying problems I couldn’t solve online. But not that one, other than a small squeegee that has a hole for hanging and a towel.

    • @VictoriaMaeva
      @VictoriaMaeva 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

I don't know if it's just that I'm noticing more, how much time is spent in a day, week, month🤔 on that alone🙀! ARGHHH LOL! PS. I💗your videos Brittany! TYVM

    • @JamieM470
      @JamieM470 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      That's my annoying thing too! I keep a washcloth on the bathroom counter specifically to dry behind the faucet, and I have to dry it constantly.
      I have never understood why counter manufacturers make that area behind the faucet flat, instead of slightly slanted/sloped downward into the sink, so water would drain.
      Every time the kitchen sink is used, same thing. Water pooling behind the faucet. Constantly drying that too.
      I don't think there's really a solution for that though, other than manufacturers changing their design. *sigh*

Then if your water pressure is good……. IT A DREAM 💭!,

    • @gingermonette7455

      Having recently bought a new bathroom faucet, I discovered that part of the problem with water going everywhere is the height of the faucet. It seems the higher the faucet, the more water flying around. Moving a wet hand up just that little bit higher to turn off the faucet now means water often gets on the mirror behind. Next time I'll get bathroom faucet that isn't so high.

      Every house we've lived in came with those, standard installation by the cabinet makers in Canada. But they do come off or wear off, especially if they're felt buttons, in time so every home should have a packet handy to replace them as needed. The house we have now is from 1987, we built it and I had to replace all of those little buttons in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry area several times. They wear out, it's normal.

      yep. Came into the comments JUST to say this. In addition to attracting bugs and dust, the other thing is that cooking oil will get thick, gunky, and gummy over time, which only creates a cleaning nightmare for your hinges. WD-40.... get you some.

    Another solution for pictures that keep going skew: Remove the wire or string completely and instead use those little metal rings (D-rings) as hangers. I worked in an art museum for three years and we NEVER used the wires to hang the art because even with an expert installing it, eventually they all hang skew (or even worse, break and fall)! Two screws in the wall with those little hangers and a spirit level and you'll be good to go :)

    I've done the laundry cap thing for years. One thing to watch for, though: if you're washing heavy things and/or you can't get directly to the load after it finishes, the weight of the wet laundry will put pressure on the cap and could bend it out of shape or even break it. But if you can get to it within 20 minutes of finishing, you're golden.
