Figured out wither mining and my friends pointed me to here to let you know. It's best to get and keep the wither below half health so that it will stay level with you. To encourage the breaking of blocks, you have to consistently hit it at the entrance of the small tunnel (it should be there if it's after you and below half health). In order to encourage mining, you need to hit it and then back away, it should make a breaking noise, then you hit it again to have it break again, repeat this for a while. You will basically have to switch between using the sword and punching it to manage its health and keep it mining. I recommend having a friend to pick up items behind the wither, just make sure their far enough away to not attract the wither. Hopefully that helps! :)

Tango I very much doubt you want to make Decked Out 3, but if you do, might I recommend some things that probably haven't ever been done in Decked Out before: - Redstone: You can obviously organize and code everything on Bus Lines, but that is highly inefficient and boring to do, so I propose Wallstone Bus Lines (Vertical Redstone, Easy to Compact, is Flexible, Can be Labeled with Different Wall Types, and Saves a lot of time having to gather other Redstone Components). - Vertical Layouts: We've seen the Maps of Decked out play out in Horizontal Space, but what about taking advantage of the Vertical? It's never been done as of yet, the Layouts would potentially be easier to map out, and it makes Wallstone Bus Lines more convenient (as you can just run the Bus Lines down the Center or down one side to save space). - Nether Theme: You don't necessarily have to build it in the Nether (since you can probably mimic Red Fog with the Glass Trick), but you did do Deep Frost last Season, so it would make sense to go Fiery Inferno this Season. Again, if you're not worried about Decked Out this Season, I don't blame you (the project is a seriously difficult undertaking), but if you're up for it, I'd like to see what you can do with this information :)

For wither mining (personal experience, done it for ~4000 blocks) 1. Spawn it at the Y level that you want your tunnel at 2. Get it down below half and keep it there, that way it won’t float up 3. You have to punch the wither to draw it forward, one block at a time. 4.turn your simulation distance down to the lowest setting (so you don’t need another person following behind) 5. Once your tunnel ends kill it
Tango, if you are reading this, I have some useful information for u on how to do the Wither deesplate mining. Get his health low so he is in a melee mode and then attack him (with fist). The more frequently you attack the wither, the faster he will break blocks and go after you. If you don't attack him, he will just stand there and do nothing... I did it myself, so Im not just making this up.
Withers only destroy blocks after getting hurt. That's why obsidian farms use snow golems. The reason for which the wither didn't mine the tunnel is that you weren't hurting it.
it's because it wasn't set up right, you can see etho doing it in his second episode this season its picky about the size of the space it's spawned in and y level relative to the player you really can't deviate at all or it won't work
If Beef keeps his Warped and Crimson stem permit, maybe you two could collaborate a farm? You take the Shroomlights, Beef takes the stems. Or try and trade for his permit =P
You and Wels could tag team all the Redstone stuff. You can build the factory together and take turns running it and stocking the shop! Become partners in crimestone.
Maybe you could make a Sponge Shop that also offers to dry the sponges for you, for a certain fee, of course. Maybe you could rent out a stack of dry sponge for 1 diamond to be returned, or you dry sponges for a diamond a stack.
Withers break blocks whenever damage is taken, so just punching it carves the tunnel out VERY cleanly, it's consistent if you just keep punching. The reason it worked before is you were focused on killing it and hitting it over and over, keeping it focused on you, thus carving the tunnel, whereas this time you just left it and so it got confused
"Are you sponge worthy?" Ha Ha Ha Ha! I'm old enough to appreciate this knee-jerk reaction. One of my best friends in high school had a band called "Sponge Worthy". Cheers!
With the wither mining what I’ve done before was I summoned it, shot it weakly to get it in range, then just punched it with a bare hand and backed away as it charged. The key is you want it to survive as long as possible to get as many drops as possible
I watch TH-cam basically only on my second monitor while playing a video game in the meanwhile, but Tango's videos are the only ones I take the time to pause my game for.
Tango you can make Vex supressors for the Raid farm, the mechanic is that Evokers can't spawn Vexes if there are already a certain amount of Vexes there, so you just need some evokers constantly looking at either villagers or iron gollems, then there will always be more vexes than the ones that the evokers on the farm can spawn
Everyone’s suggesting a rental sponge service which is great, but you should totally name it Sponge B.O.B.! Short for Sponge Buy or Borrow, and hermits can either rent sponges or buy them completely :)
Honestly, it's really validating to see Hermits having the same experience with Withers as I do. I've seen people mine with Withers, and whenever I try to fight them in a cave, they go straight up and it makes them really hard to fight. They've definitely done this in the past, so it's not a new AI update.
Tango, how do you feel about having an automated shop restock system? The factory makes the redstone components, packs them into shulkers, ships them to the shopping district by mail, and the mail unpacks the items into the shop chests, takes the diamonds and ships them back to your base
You inow now that the server has even a partial mail system you could do like a mail order shop. Which would work pretty well with items that people don't need a lot of and that might tend to be expensive as a result like sponges and beacons.
As of right now, this vid is #36 trending on gaming. Way to go, Tango!! I always look forward to your episodes, and I was especially excited for this one. It did not disappoint! :D
Open a conglomerate with Wels and call it Wels-Tango, and pull up in a Wels-Tango wagon to sell tools like the Wells-Fargo wagons of yore, or more like a modern Snap-On guy
You could potentially approach Wells about a joint redstone shop, maybe split down the middle with different colours/designs to easily keep track of profits
Three words: Sponge Rental Shop! People pay to rent a number of dry sponges for an amount of time. They can return them wet. BUT, if they dry them themselves, they get back half their diamonds.
'Are you spongeworthy?' It fills my heart with joy whenever a Seinfeld reference sneaks onto the Hermitcraft server, and it happens more often than you might think.
Man, I hope you get the other RS permit as well, so RS components will never be in short supply on the server. That new farm is amazing. Subbed to Nash and will likely build his design to upgrade from ianxofour's already excellent one.
You're buildings are looking awesome this season! Keep up the good work! My 2 cents: Ravengers: Try corners on your portal. If not, stack a couple levels of glass just on the portal, so they can't climb. Wither. Might have been trying to track something in the mines. Don't summon them in open areas. A 2x1 tunnel for as long as you can, back fill about 5 when you hit a cave, then summon the wither in a 3x3 whole. (maybe a side tunnel for the picker up people) Pearl is really skilled in this method, btw.
Tango should lease/rent out sponges. Charge the hermits 5 diamonds per sponge, but give them back 4 upon return (or whatever price the market demands).
Talk to Wells about his Redstone Permit. Ask him to make 1 shop together, he can supply the stuff some of the stuff to your redstone factory and you can both split the profits. If your factory does the majority of the work, though, you should get the majority of the pay...

Partners in crimestone is a hilarious phrase. I love it.
Maybe you could make a Sponge Shop that also offers to dry the sponges for you, for a certain fee, of course. Maybe you could rent out a stack of dry sponge for 1 diamond to be returned, or you dry sponges for a diamond a stack.
Since you only need to place them in the nether to dry this seems not very needed
Tango, a wither breaks blocks a LOT more right after it gets damaged. So maybe bringing a bunch of snowballs could actually work to use it for mining
After all these years I nearly have them all. All the videos of people getting their permits that is
What about Joel and skizz?
@@AshleyThePie Skizz uploaded shortly after this and I think Etho is also still missing?
That's why I said I nearly have them all

18:42 Missed opportunity for "GeminiTame"
I wouldn't be able to think of it on the spot either though tbf 😂
11:26 😅 gem getting ready for war!
It’s was hilarious, awesome and intimidating all at once. 😂
Good thing it's not a ghost
I watch TH-cam basically only on my second monitor while playing a video game in the meanwhile, but Tango's videos are the only ones I take the time to pause my game for.
I gotta say, keeping up with gem, grian, mumbo, scar, pearl, tango, and etho is a challenge, but this is the perfect season to do it!
Chiseled Bookshelves are technically a type of redstone component, and you have the entire production line for redstone lamps in your shop, too!
In my opinion, group the chiseled bookshelves with the redstone stuff, and put the redstone lamps with the other 2 light blocks
My new favourite quote: "He is right here with extra right here!"
DAMMIT TANGO, I was eating soup when you said "A high tech system, called burning their faces off" and now I have a lot of cleaning to do.
So for the Glowstone and Shroomlight shop , you should call it Tangos Illumination Technology Station, I cannot forsee any issues with that at all
Even for a former member of the Aerial Sheep Service, that might be going a little too far.
Tango and ravager problems, an iconic duo 😂
Everyone’s suggesting a rental sponge service which is great, but you should totally name it Sponge B.O.B.! Short for Sponge Buy or Borrow, and hermits can either rent sponges or buy them completely :)
I feel like the "Are you sponge worthy?" comment went over everyones head but I laughed immediately!
Watching the Wither fight from Skizz's perspective on stream was so funny
Honestly, it's really validating to see Hermits having the same experience with Withers as I do.
I've seen people mine with Withers, and whenever I try to fight them in a cave, they go straight up and it makes them really hard to fight.
They've definitely done this in the past, so it's not a new AI update.
Tango, how do you feel about having an automated shop restock system? The factory makes the redstone components, packs them into shulkers, ships them to the shopping district by mail, and the mail unpacks the items into the shop chests, takes the diamonds and ships them back to your base
Gem and Tango giggling like five-year-olds whilst slaying a wither? Can't wait for the animatic.
1:38 sneaky Seinfeld quote, nice
Glad I am not the only one old enough to catch that.
Etho's a big Seinfeld fan i'm surprised he didn't laugh at that.
That unlocked a memory I didn't know I had 😂. I never really watched Seinfeld, but somehow I caught that episode.
The glowstone and shroomlight could be sold in a shop called "Lava Lamp"
You inow now that the server has even a partial mail system you could do like a mail order shop. Which would work pretty well with items that people don't need a lot of and that might tend to be expensive as a result like sponges and beacons.
If you ever keep having problems with the Vex, you can put boats around your killing chamber so they catch any that try to get you
Skizz episode immediately followed by Tango episode... I'm starting my Wednesday off right 😁
I think you should sell your sponges in the redstone shop advertising that it helps keep your redstone lines dry.
Perfect timing for a new video. I just found myself bored😂
Wels-Tango would be a pretty great name for a mail order service if Tango ever decides the system is robust enough to not obliterate the items
You could potentially approach Wells about a joint redstone shop, maybe split down the middle with different colours/designs to easily keep track of profits
"Are you spongeworthy?"
Loved that little Seinfield drop there my dude!!!
Redstone lamps synergizes well with glowstone, and glowstone also works with shroomlights
10:45 gem be like “I laugh in the face of danger. Hahahaha!”
It’s so funny to watch the wither fight after watching Skizz’s perspective, fully knowing everything’s gonna go horribly wrong 😂
Three words: Sponge Rental Shop!
People pay to rent a number of dry sponges for an amount of time. They can return them wet. BUT, if they dry them themselves, they get back half their diamonds.
'Are you spongeworthy?'
It fills my heart with joy whenever a Seinfeld reference sneaks onto the Hermitcraft server, and it happens more often than you might think.
The editing for the End raiding was so CLEAN! The editing in general is a joy to watch :D
Hope you feel better soon, Mr Tek! Great episode as always!
I agree with the comments that mention a sponge rental shop. Keeps the grind away, and keeps the income flowing.
Man, I hope you get the other RS permit as well, so RS components will never be in short supply on the server. That new farm is amazing. Subbed to Nash and will likely build his design to upgrade from ianxofour's already excellent one.
Brave sir Tango o7 - so proud of you. The ravagers float up in the lava so put another lava bucket on top the portal frame
I built this same raid farm, and you need vex suppressors! If you have no ping no vexes will ever spawn, but when on a server always build suppressors
I think you definitely need to use a rental system for selling sponges!
You're buildings are looking awesome this season! Keep up the good work!
My 2 cents:
Ravengers: Try corners on your portal.
I like that song @22:00 ! I was not expecting that kind of genre :D Niklas Johansson - The End Of All Things
Looks like someone's gonna be the light of the server! Those rolls are mad lucky
