You do have to consider the move he was attempting which requires his foot on that side of the ball, but still, it was a horrible foul and a well-deserved yellow, not a red card because I don't believe there was intent to injure, but you can see where it could very easily be called that way, so 50 - 50 on the call.
@@Thorndog please take my professional knowledge that this must be and can only be a red card offence. The contact was made on the shin area of the leg with force, so intent is not a factor. Also from a refereeing perspective we are not there to second guess intent. We hav to act upon the clear evidence.

I feel bad for the guy on the blue team who endured that knee injury. He’s honestly lucky he can still walk after that. Idk if he’ll see this but i wish him a quick recovery. I’ve dealt with a knee injury before and it still lingers after 2 years.
We’re on the same boat my friend. Even if my knee feels physically fine, phychologically it’s always in the back of my head getting hurt again. Will never be the same player I once was because of that.
@@MD-Ghoul it’s weird cuz i injured my knee in the dumbest way possible. I managed to draw a foul. After it was called, i stopped running. My foot got caught in the turf and my knee slightly twisted. Had i twisted a little further i think i woulda messed up my ACL.

Lol comment section shows how biased people are and how little people know about football. Fair enough that tackle from number 7 red team was a leg breaker. However there were 6+ sneaky and dirty fouls from the blue team before red team even commited their first foul. Also verbals will always take place on a football pitch, learn to deal with it. Its part of the game. And at the end of the day if u cant take it, dont dish it out
Good game. It's the first Canadian football I've ever watched and I was impressed with the standard of play. The 'tackle' was a discrace and those kind challanges can do serious longterm damage. Cowardly and unacceptable. Goals should be bigger considering how the surface they're playing on though.

I've been binging this channel this weekend and your comments are always spot on. In terms red team reading comments, I hope they do so perhaps they'll reflect some.
One thing that is a little concerning though is the channel owner not having any feedback on this situation. I believe the camera guy organizes the events. Yes, I get it-- bad refs and violence = more drama, more views. I don't agree with it, but Whatever. In this case however, a dude might've lost his ACL and red constantly pushed/elbowed the other team. That's not cool. it'd be great to hear from the channel that red had any retroactive punishment.
A tourney organizer shouldn't have folks like this signing up -- if I was local to the area, I wouldn't play in this tourney given the lack of protection to players and the absolute lack of control the refs have. The refs just don't protect players.
The insane amounts of trash talking and vulgarity at the ref? That's a card. Get them shush early on and just play the beautiful game without all the extra nonsense. It's not even very much money.
It's irresponsible from an organizer perspective and while I get the more drama = more views, when you have folks like red signing up, people will get hurt and tear ACLs.
Just my opinion as someone who got hit by a dirty player in a tourney, breaking my leg and now can't really play the game anymore.

Some of what I have gathered from watching this channel over the years is that many of the teams play the way they do from a cultural perspective. It's a melting pot of teams and even some of the officials in the games are players/managers of the teams. I do agree though on the safety aspect...most of these guys have jobs the next day and breaking/tearing things in a relatively "meaningless" game of soccer compared to your livelihood is probably not the most sound decision if you never have a ref helping keep you safe.
The guy in blue is a baller and he probably lost his ACL due to that disgrace number 7 from Red team. Better not play against idiots
Do you ever wonder why the soccer playstyle in Canada is trash? Why the game is less skill based and more "physical"?
1. Refs are not giving out cards earlier for poor tackles. A free kick does not protect players
2. Refs are not giving out reds earlier. That guy should be out.
3. This ref in particular doesn't like to give out cards because of the paperwork (maybe not in in this tournament). Saying "Calm down guys" is not enough.
There is an advantage to more aggressive teams, because the other team will back off.
As a former ref I can only say that half these would have been off, for good.

This is proper Football, a contact sport, it was really nice to see two sets of lads getting stuck in, and I enjoyed the skill level of both teams a pleasure to watch.
The ref was 10 out of 10, and having a cam on is a great idea, it should be used in the Prem.
That tackle was really bad, maybe he should be sent off for the rest of the game.
I would like to thank both teams and the ref for the best 17 mins of highlights, Id pay £15.00 to watch Football like this.
If this was a prem game, the would have been at least 4 sending offs, and around 10 bookings.
Out of all the videos I’ve seen this one is the worse. As a ref I wouldn’t put up with players talking trash like that. Second that foul between minute 11-13 was suppose to be a direct red. Lastly if your a ref, you don’t fight back with players and specially curse them out. All your doing is just causing for the game to get out of hand even more.

Played rugby from 5yo until I was 28yo.I wanted to stay fit so a friend suggested I join his soccer team.The amount of niggle and foul play that occurred whilst playing soccer far exceeded anything I experienced playing rugby.There is rough play and then there is the bullshit like that tackle which the only intent is cause serious injury.This type of cowardly behaviour is a big problem,especially in lower divisions that don’t have professional and/or impartial referees.To all the cowards that think it’s tough to behave like this, go participate in sport like MMA,Muay Thai,Boxing or any full contact combat.I bet a huge majority wouldn’t even set foot in the ring - BECAUSE THEY’RE S SCARED!!

Considering some of the players had a level of skill and weren't new to the game you'd think it was the first time many had played in a match . Not every foul is a deliberate and or attempt to hurt your opponent . There was only one poor tackle in the game . Just a pity o many behaved with such a childish petulant attitude .
