I started about 10 seed snails a few weeks ago after watching the original posters video, and they grew perfect! I just cut up some old grow bags so they'd have good air flow and not rot in the middle, and it worked like a charm!!
Hi. Also new friend here from Namibia. I have tried this method after I saw Farida’s post. This method is absolutely fantastic and saves so much space. Your video is so informative for someone who wants to try this. It is very important to thin out with this method as you mentioned. I didn’t and it was an absolute pain to transplant. The seedlings were tangled into each other. The ones I sowed sparingly worked like a dream.
I have never tried this but I think I'm going too. Thank you so much for your video I'm new to your channel I too and then zone 6A and I am a beginner. Imm very excited!
Thank you for sharing this Seed Snail, I have seen this before, but only this year and not in any detail. I am not going to use it this year as I am just now starting to use the 2-inch soil block for the first time. I did enjoy your detailed tutorial of this method and it's one I will keep in mind for next year.
I found the video too and I'm super motivated to try all the things this year. I'm even starting my own flowers and brassicas. I've never had success with onions but I'm trying those too.
@@fortunefarms I think so too. That's why I'm trying it. This year with bunching and green, maybe even leeks (no idea what to do with leeks 😂), and onions from seeds next year.
I'd never seen this before the viral post, but I'm definitely going to give it a try. I like that you used burlap. I was wondering about possibly cutting up an old grow bag to try it
I just heard about this method last night and I'm about to try it. I've always heard to be careful growing foxglove anywhere near edible plants. Not sure if this applies to seedlings, maybe someone else will know.
Im not sure burlap is a good idea. The thing is the roots will get into it and it will be difficult if not impossible to get the seedlings out without breaking the roots, once you want to plant out.

Plastic grow bags like tomato grow bags, compost bags etc?
@@theshabbygourmet1191 mine were a thick fabric almost like felt, but I'm sure plastic would work, and keep in moisture.
I’m about the transfer some to the garden!
It’s the best. I am so glad she shared this method with us all. Thank you for sharing also!
No problem!
Fellow Nebraska lady here Bellevue to be exact. Just found your channel! Love your content. ❤
Woohoo! I’m a T-Bird girl!!
From another Nebraska gardener.. Love this idea! Thank you for sharing!!

So very true! I will continue to use this method!

Definitely give it a try! Everything is always a learning experience!

No problem! We’ll see how this burlap turns out 🤣🤣

Honestly I think onions will be PERFECT when you start from seed and use this method!

Thank you for sharing. I wonder if weed barrier fabric works too.
I bet it could!

I feel like an old grow bag would be perfect!!
I would diffenently try it.
I have tried to grow cauliflower before and I never got done to sprout. I tried this message and they're growing
That is SOO awesome! How cool!
How do you plant into garden! Yes I’m going to try carrots tomorrow
Simply rool it out! In my last couple videos I have transplanted into the garden! Im currently harvesting the bok choy started in the seed snails!

Thank you! I’ve never grown foxglove so I may just skip it and eat till fall!!
I only saw this method on Instagram last week and I'm already getting seeds to grow.
It’s such a cool idea! I’m hoping my burlap works!
Can you snail carrot seed?
I would stay away from root crops!
Thank you
What is up potting?
When you give the seed a bigger growing space!

I’m excited to see if it works still!
@@fortunefarms I take the point that it might be difficult to untangle the roots with burlap, so I will follow to see how you get on.
@@fortunefarms Wondering the same! When you unraveled, where the seeds entangled with the burlap? Want to use nonplastic method as well.
