After that he falls down, the people surround him and cry, his son comes over and it becomes a fountain of tears and emotions and in his final moments, he tells Jr. to “not be like me, be better, be someone who helps others instead, be the one people can count on *smiles and puts a hand on his cheek* like I could with you… son” then he goes limp, gets reincarnated, asks why the fuck he’s in a scrawny human body (literally the rock type body btw) and goes to the city where he meets with the other characters that my friends are roleplaying as

I think an important thing to consider is that there was absolutely no way they could've included everything in Bowser and Eggman's arsenals. The animation was already visually stunning and packed with tons of characters and items, which is insanely impressive considering Death Battle's independency. So they probably had to opt to mainly include the more iconic stuff. They also probably made the alternate scenario animations to make up for it.

The alternate scenario animations were a lovely addition, I really liked seeing them included. I always give DB a pass when it comes to the animations, since they’re more just representations of how the fight should go, but yeah _especially_ with Bowser and Eggman you just can’t include everything
I love the alternate scenarios too because they show that if eggman did pull out his full arsenal, bowser would still win because of a variable they explained thoroughly

DB wasn't joking when they said Kamek is the most busted support teammate someone could ask for. They didn't even include the fact that he can just make a soldier the size of a moon or just grow bowser to become a giant and since he had already grown naturally via the paint, the two abilities can actually mix and just make bowser the side of a planet if not larger. 😂 Also Thwomps are the deadliest mario enemy. Period. Most anything besides super metal sonic and eggman is getting obliterated if its hit by a thwomp. Every eggman mech is definitely gone as well.

Most of the alternate scenarios in the end were things they wanted to do like dreamy bowser vs the time eater but only animated snippets of because of time.
the alternate scenarios were actually added only a week ago, mostly as a way to stop the "why didnt x thing appear in the fight" despite having a very limited budget.
Especially Mario's universe magic because it's so vague that doing anything can be explained by: "cause its magic" and magic has no general limits or weaknesses. Only specific weaknesses to things that only exist in the Mario Universe.
Metal Overlord only happened once Metal Sonic absorbed A TON of the Sonic character's abilities. (Plus, Overlord is about on the same level as Super Neo Metal, if not a little weaker)
Ikr Metal Overlord wouldn’t even change the battle in the slightest the only thing that did was the Death Egg itself and that couldn’t even kill Bowser.
21:28 they didn’t use a lot for both sides. Remember bowser has a lot of mechs to. Especially from galaxy. They didn’t use petey piranha, any of the koopalings, kammy, dreamy bowser. Both sides were missing a lot because there are so many options for both.
The way to look at it is. Eggman did ... TECHNICALLY... kill Bowser. Too bad the big boy doesn't stay down long... even after death.. On top of that. Even if he did kill Bowser, Jr. Would have finished Ivo off.
Also, that would basically make Eggman’s army easier to deal with as Metal would absorb them to turn into Metal Overlord, reducing the numbers by a lot.
@Shortshark123 Well, he relies on illusions, of which wouldn't work on King Boo. His own physical strength is lacking. Plus, the way he died makes perfect sense. Infinite increased gravity, which makes no impact on a ghost like Boo. Boo then conjured a Thwomp. Combined with the increased gravity and its own deadly force, it had more than enough power to defeat and/or kill Infinite.
23:20 Think about it. A. They used Metal Overlord twice. B. Metal Overlord would have had to take most of Eggman's resources to create it. C. Super Neo has similar power levels D. Super Neo hasn't been seen in death battle yet. E. Metal Overlord doesn't nessacarily change the outcome, Kamek, King Boo and Bowser's Magic do counter Metal Overlord fine enough like anyone of the other trump cards Eggman had.

@@maxspecs Exactly, these characters don't just stay at one level of power, Sonic in Forces actually grows massively in power throughout the course of the game going from not being able to even touch Infinite to being able to put up a bit of a fight to straight up beating him within the span of 3 days worth of action (the Avatar has no real decent scaling, Sonic is way stronger than them).

They also gave Eggman the chaos emeralds, which can’t really be called ‘his’ either. Death Battle likes to give the fighter’s every buff that seems even a little believable
People say, eggman could have used other methods to defeat bowser but death battle already explained this, but there's also a good explanation for this and it's sage, she can calculate and predict almost all the possibilities and chances, if the battle have gone into this so that means that was best plan she could have calculated to win, but in the end it wasn't enough
TBF, her claiming that the titans were unbeatable is proof that her simulations aren’t always 100% accurate… doubly so for opponent’s she’s not familiar with.
They address sage coming up with a. Plan being very unlikely due to the sheer versatility and Hax of bowsers army on top of that king boo can possess electronics something she’s never had to deal with she’d just be stumped

@@interguy5846 That statement is missing context though because in that same scene, Sonic is freed from his cyber corruption and Sage tells Eggman that it's great news as she never ran a simulation where Sonic and Eggman worked together since it seemed like he was gone forever and even if he was around, Eggman would probably never agree to it.

I have no idea why they'd use Overlord personally... considering that was not only a form born of data copied from Sonic and his friends, alongside being something that required an IMMENSE amount of power only possible from the Master Emerald... (In canon at least), but was also a form born of the plan Metal had when betraying Eggman so he'd likely just be trading Bowser for Metal as an opponent at best as i'd doubt Eggman could keep him in line in that form also as they mentioned Kamek could render half of that need impossible anyway even if the data of sonic and co. wasnt specifically required thanks to the Nullification spells he has in regards to Metal's Data Copying

The recent recreations of Metal are more obedient. You aren't wrong that Eggman risks betrayal, but that's just cus of Metal himself, not cus of metal overlord.
metal overlord and the titans aren't here for a reason, titans would not obey and they would start attacking everything, plus, metal overlord is weaker than super neo metal sonic, they had to choose between a really big burdern for the 2 sides or a useful unit( metal had no one to copy to even reach metal overlord)
The reason Metal Overlord wasn't included is actually pretty simple; it's a form that only comes out when Metal Sonic is disobedient to Eggman, acting on his own. So, when they're doing Bowser vs. Eggman, Overlord is a form that doesn't exactly count as a win for Eggman- besides, it would also make this battle a little too similar to Eggman's last fight against Dr. Wily.
17:27 and 20:00 Literally shows how bowser will help out his army and place his own life at the front of the battlefield while Eggman goes behind his army and even fires the death egg on his own army for victory. Love this detail
“Why not metal overlord?” Metal Overlord was a transformation of Metal Sonic symbolizing his betrayal and freedom from Eggman. Ever since he was reprogrammed he cannot/would not access this form. Furthermore, his Super form is more powerful than the Overlord form. So the awser is another question: “Why would Eggman have a liability in his army?”
Metal Overlord would have turned the battle into a three way that Eggman would have been practically guaranteed to lose. Super Neo Metal Sonic is probably stronger than Metal Overlord and you can see what happened to him. Creating Metal Overlord would have been trading his best asset for an uncontrollable enemy that still can’t win.
"Why did they not use Metal Overlord!?" The issue is that Metal Sonic's _Metal Overlord_ form isn't his most powerful form. It's his _BIGGEST,_ and depending on the opponent, it can be deadly, but that'd just make it a bigger target against Fury Bowser. Super Neo, however, takes all that power and grants the mobility to make the most of it. It can stop time, but it doesn't have the proficiency to make the most of the stopped time. As a result, Super Neo's just a more reliable choice... though admittedly, I _would've_ love to see Bowser _backhand_ Metal Overlord. That just sounds hilarious.
If we think about it, there is a good reason on why not use metal overlord if we things from the point of Eggman "Do i really have to sacrifice half of my fleet in order to summon one giant mech and lose the element of speed? no, it would be contraproducent, besides my army is invincible! i have all the backup fire needed"
As they said, supporters like Kamek are VERY effective against foes that are very reliant on gear. And considering the logarithmic boosts that each successive Chaos Emerald in a set seem to grant (going from continental for one to universal for all seven), taking even one would have severely weakened Eggman's use of them.
Why did they not use Metal Overlord? Because compared to Super Neo Metal Sonic, Overlord is a CHUMP that needed tons of prep time to create, and would do NOTHING to affect the outcome. He’s a downgrade. Also we didn’t see everything we could have because there was TOO MUCH to animate, especially with DB being independent. Plus we got the alt scenarios.
Metal sonic carried team eggman on his back, what a unit and bowser taking the beam head on so his boys lived and taking out metal when junior got hit, idk much about mario but that won me over, had me switching teams in an instant
Metal Sonic has two options to choose when transforming but only one. Metal overlord and Super Neo Metal Sonic. Metal overlord is no longer his strongest transformation, shoot, in the IDW comics he was beaten by base Sonic and his team, and in mania he was beaten by classic Sonic alone. Meanwhile Super Neo Meatal Sonic has eclipsed anything metal overlord can achieve in power output, don’t get me wrong I adore metal overlord, but power scaling wise Super Neo Metal is literally vastly powerful and would make Metal Overlord not really viable especially against someone like bowser

Pretty sure they didn't use Metal Overlord because: A) That would require Metal to technically go rogue. Meaning even if he beats Bowser, that wouldn't really count as a win for Eggman. Basically, Wily vs Eggman 2.0. B) I think they outright mention that Kamek was actively *preventing* Metal from scanning data with his magic. Meaning even if they had allowed Metal Overlord, Kamek wouldn't have let him evolve to that point in time to be a match for Bowser.
I think Bowser taking out metal sonic first while he is under the control of Eggman was crucial to him winning. If Eggman died first, it would've been a close repeat of Dr. Wily vs Dr Eggman with Metal Sonic merging with the egg fleet. Though i dont know of Metal Sonic can actually kill Boswer with his dark magic coming back as literal bones
Metal Sonic took out Bowser’s top three, and saved Eggman twice in this fight. Much like in the old Eggman vs Wily Death Battle, the real winner here was Metal Sonic, and once he was overcome, the battle was over.
Infinite being cooked by a thwomp makes sense considering he was using gravity Because king boo is a ghost he isn’t effected by it so he summoned a thwomp which was much more effective cause of infinite using gravity lmao
Metal Sonic can't become Metal Overlord without copying and absorbing all of the life data from Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, Team Chaotix, and Chaos. Without all of those characters, Metal Sonic can't become Metal Overlord. It makes more sense for Eggman to have access to the Chaos Emeralds rather than the data of Sonic and his friends, hence why it made more sense to have Neo Metal Sonic and Super Neo Metal Sonic fight rather than Metal Overlord
A cool thing is ik bowser didn't kill eggman because they are really good friends in Mario and sonic olympic games hence why he said later doctor which is a sign of respect normally anyway and sage was still alive with the chaos emeralds chance block or not I bet she ended up saving him but I am upset that neo didn't go metal overlord that would've definitely gave them game for sure

Watching this fight and seeing what's up both fighters sleeve's. One may consider that with that fire power they should be able to beat just about anyone. Which is why we had so many what if fight scenes. (Would love to see dreamy bowser vs time eater.) Yet in reality they need that just to keep up with the heroes.
Death battle actually got the phantom ruby wrong. It doesnt just alter perception but reality as well. Ik it makes no sense, but whatever perception the phantom ruby puts you under BECOMES your reality. I feel both that and infinite were low balled here, but i respect the win
I feel like Eggman could've had a chance, had he planned it better. With Infinite, while he and Bowser were fighting, he could've sent out Metal to neutralize him. The only reason Infinite got grounded by a Thwomp was probably due to the fact that he was most likely straining himself to erase Bowser and his troops.
Well there’s that and he has a short attention span he tends to focus more on terrorizing his victims than notice his surroundings he has shown to be easily caught off guard at times.

@@maxspecs Exactly, these characters don't just stay at one level of power, Sonic in Forces actually grows massively in power throughout the course of the game going from not being able to even touch Infinite to being able to put up a bit of a fight to straight up beating him within the span of 3 days worth of action (the Avatar has no real decent scaling, Sonic is way stronger than them).

People say, eggman could have used other methods to defeat bowser but death battle already explained this, but there's also a good explanation for this and it's sage, she can calculate and predict almost all the possibilities and chances, if the battle have gone into this so that means that was best plan she could have calculated to win, but in the end it wasn't enough
TBF, her claiming that the titans were unbeatable is proof that her simulations aren’t always 100% accurate… doubly so for opponent’s she’s not familiar with.
They address sage coming up with a. Plan being very unlikely due to the sheer versatility and Hax of bowsers army on top of that king boo can possess electronics something she’s never had to deal with she’d just be stumped

@@interguy5846 That statement is missing context though because in that same scene, Sonic is freed from his cyber corruption and Sage tells Eggman that it's great news as she never ran a simulation where Sonic and Eggman worked together since it seemed like he was gone forever and even if he was around, Eggman would probably never agree to it.

(In canon at least), but was also a form born of the plan Metal had when betraying Eggman so he'd likely just be trading Bowser for Metal as an opponent at best as i'd doubt Eggman could keep him in line in that form

The recent recreations of Metal are more obedient. You aren't wrong that Eggman risks betrayal, but that's just cus of Metal himself, not cus of metal overlord.
metal overlord and the titans aren't here for a reason, titans would not obey and they would start attacking everything, plus, metal overlord is weaker than super neo metal sonic, they had to choose between a really big burdern for the 2 sides or a useful unit( metal had no one to copy to even reach metal overlord)

The reason Metal Overlord wasn't included is actually pretty simple; it's a form that only comes out when Metal Sonic is disobedient to Eggman, acting on his own. So, when they're doing Bowser vs. Eggman, Overlord is a form that doesn't exactly count as a win for Eggman- besides, it would also make this battle a little too similar to Eggman's last fight against Dr. Wily.

Metal Overlord was a transformation of Metal Sonic symbolizing his betrayal and freedom from Eggman. Ever since he was reprogrammed he cannot/would not access this form. Furthermore, his Super form is more powerful than the Overlord form. So the awser is another question: “Why would Eggman have a liability in his army?”
Metal Overlord would have turned the battle into a three way that Eggman would have been practically guaranteed to lose. Super Neo Metal Sonic is probably stronger than Metal Overlord and you can see what happened to him. Creating Metal Overlord would have been trading his best asset for an uncontrollable enemy that still can’t win.

The issue is that Metal Sonic's _Metal Overlord_ form isn't his most powerful form. It's his _BIGGEST,_ and depending on the opponent, it can be deadly, but that'd just make it a bigger target against Fury Bowser.
Super Neo, however, takes all that power and grants the mobility to make the most of it. It can stop time, but it doesn't have the proficiency to make the most of the stopped time. As a result, Super Neo's just a more reliable choice... though admittedly, I _would've_ love to see Bowser _backhand_ Metal Overlord. That just sounds hilarious.
If we think about it, there is a good reason on why not use metal overlord if we things from the point of Eggman

As they said, supporters like Kamek are VERY effective against foes that are very reliant on gear. And considering the logarithmic boosts that each successive Chaos Emerald in a set seem to grant (going from continental for one to universal for all seven), taking even one would have severely weakened Eggman's use of them.
Rule of thumb: The more cartoony a character is, the more crazy feats they'll have.
Why did they not use Metal Overlord?
Because compared to Super Neo Metal Sonic, Overlord is a CHUMP that needed tons of prep time to create, and would do NOTHING to affect the outcome. He’s a downgrade.
Also we didn’t see everything we could have because there was TOO MUCH to animate, especially with DB being independent. Plus we got the alt scenarios.

Pretty sure they didn't use Metal Overlord because:
A) That would require Metal to technically go rogue. Meaning even if he beats Bowser, that wouldn't really count as a win for Eggman. Basically, Wily vs Eggman 2.0.
B) I think they outright mention that Kamek was actively *preventing* Metal from scanning data with his magic. Meaning even if they had allowed Metal Overlord, Kamek wouldn't have let him evolve to that point in time to be a match for Bowser.

I think Bowser taking out metal sonic first while he is under the control of Eggman was crucial to him winning. If Eggman died first, it would've been a close repeat of Dr. Wily vs Dr Eggman with Metal Sonic merging with the egg fleet. Much like in the old Eggman vs Wily Death Battle, the real winner here was Metal Sonic, and once he was overcome, the battle was over.

Metal Sonic can't become Metal Overlord without copying and absorbing all of the life data from Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, Team Chaotix, and Chaos. Without all of those characters, Metal Sonic can't become Metal Overlord. It makes more sense for Eggman to have access to the Chaos Emeralds rather than the data of Sonic and his friends, hence why it made more sense to have Neo Metal Sonic and Super Neo Metal Sonic fight rather than Metal Overlord
A cool thing is ik bowser didn't kill eggman because they are really good friends in Mario and sonic olympic games hence why he said later doctor which is a sign of respect normally anyway and sage was still alive with the chaos emeralds chance block or not I bet she ended up saving him but I am upset that neo didn't go metal overlord that would've definitely gave them game for sure

Watching this fight and seeing what's up both fighters sleeve's. One may consider that with that fire power they should be able to beat just about anyone. Which is why we had so many what if fight scenes. (Would love to see dreamy bowser vs time eater.) Yet in reality they need that just to keep up with the heroes.
Death battle actually got the phantom ruby wrong. It doesnt just alter perception but reality as well. Ik it makes no sense, but whatever perception the phantom ruby puts you under BECOMES your reality. I feel both that and infinite were low balled here, but i respect the win

They didn't use Metal Overlord because all things considered, he's extremely weak compared to Super Neo Metal.
I feel like Eggman could've had a chance, had he planned it better. With Infinite, while he and Bowser were fighting, he could've sent out Metal to neutralize him. The only reason Infinite got grounded by a Thwomp was probably due to the fact that he was most likely straining himself to erase Bowser and his troops.
Well there’s that and he has a short attention span he tends to focus more on terrorizing his victims than notice his surroundings he has shown to be easily caught off guard at times.
