take an Italian topographic map then compare it with that of Spain or France, Germany, you will notice the Apennine mountains (which are not the Alps) which practically divide the peninsula in two from north to south. In practice only the Po Valley or the Tavoliere dele Puglia are true plains.

Talgo trains are not good. IRYO trains are far superior.

Alsthom is building italian high speed trains....
Alsthom is everything but italian !!

True but the company is, that’s the point. It’s like saying Air France is American because they fly Boeing aircraft…

Alstom is very Italian, in 2000 it bought Fiat Ferroviaria, a world leader in tilting technology. There is a huge factory in Savigliano where they produce the Pendolino sold all over Europe, and high-speed trains for Italo, Europe's first private open access operator.

The train is japanese (although made in Italy)the company Iryo is not italian and it's not the best train in Spain (not even close).

By that logic nearly every airline on the world is either American or French…
And what about Renfe do you find better? I have a direct comparison video coming on the next series, and the conclusion remains the same.

@@Travelog Renfe has several high speed train models. In my opinion both the Siemens Velaro and the Alsthom S100 are vastly superior trainsets compared to this Hitachi train, and even the Talgo ones are at least just as good. To my surprise, this brand new Hitachi train rattles and shakes just as much as the 15 year-old Talgos. The only "differenciator" Iryo brings to Spanish market is the food options, which are good but very small portions. And very small toilets. And I insist, the train is japanese (just like the Toyota Corollas made in Europe are still japanese) and Iryo is a Spanish company.

Also, the Spanish high speed network is more extensive and much better than the Italian one. Average speeds are better. The whole point of the Spanish high speed network is going from A to B as fast as possible. Trips beyond 3 or 3 1/2 hours are the exception. Comfort is valued, luxury not that much, what matters to the Spanish public is mainly speed and cost.

The Talgo trains are terrible worse than Hitachi trains in the UK.

@user-hq6hb2xv4n There is literally an Italian flag on the side of the train, it's true, it's not 100% Italian, but a good part of the "shares" are Italian.
