I wish it kept the name USS Phoenix. A symbolic as well as literal rebirth. I always liked to imagine Capt. Benjamin Maxwell was reinstated after the outbreak of the Dominion War.

A Nebula class Starship with 4 nacelles it looks totally amazing the Nebula class Dreadnought looks really cool & the battle against the Borg was totally amazing I loved the sound of the phasers photon torpedoes & the Borg disruptor beams
Collective probably thought those two tiny starships were easy targets. bet they didn't expect USS Raven (their big sister) to show up & protect them 💥💥 wonderful ship, really love the design & colouring of that huge saucer-section.
You wouldn't. The positioning _technically_ violates starship design rules which state that at least 50% of the space between the nacelles must be unoccupied so that it doesn't interfere with warp field generation. The outer nacelles on this design only have 30% clearance. It still looks freakin' awesome, though. Enough to excuse the rulebreaking.

Presumably the second set of nacelles is so that in the event of saucer separation neither hull is left lacking warp drive. Good idea. Presumably impulse drive is similarly duplicated. Also a good idea. However.... The AWACS-style sensor pod is a means to provide ultra-long-range sensor coverage to many ships in an AO from a safe distance. A dreadnaught is meant to be huge, immensely armored, and horribly beweaponed, a ship which can continuously engage in close-quarters battle without significant risk. (As the name implies, "fear nothing.") Ultra-long range sensor capacity is wasted on a craft that is going to be up-close-and-personal with the enemy. A high-ammo-capacity rapid-fire torpedo launcher with a 360-degree traverse would make much more sense. (I assume, since it is shown firing torpedoes, that it is meant to serve both roles. Better to give it firing arcs on all 3 sides and leave extended sensory capacity to a lesser vessel.)
Two notes: 1) Those Akiras must've gotten some WORK DONE on that cube for the D-Nebula to finish it off so quickly 2) Wait, they left a Borg Cube- a ship known to *regenerate*- intact? What the f------?
It's funny how the Federation's big, brawly ships whenever they are just out in space they look the most chilled out, laid back ships around. Almost like you DON'T wanna anger these space bears.
Okay so I love the ship! It looks much better then the kitbashed galaxy DD. I was disappointed with the Borg Cube battle though. Akira's are absolute PT boats so this needs to be reflected, also a pair of Akira's vs a single Cube wouldn't last very long. That cube was being very half assed with the Akira's as well. I would love to see this beautiful ship in more of a Best of Both world's type of Arrival.
I, wonder if the U.S.S.Raven/NCC-65420 can make wrap-10, a compact spacecraft that has medial size crew built for hit & run mission. De-best starship in the federation in my just humble opinion.
Interesting concept, but I would delete the second pair of nacelles. Instead I would move them to the mission module on the top. I would then redesign the primary and secondary hulls so they could accommodate recessed nacelles. Now instead of simply having a dreadnought nebula variant, you now have a nebula dreadnought whose components could separate giving the ship a multi vector assault mode capability.

I liked seeing that too. The visual effect also reminds me of Terran Agonizer tech, so maybe they borrowed some of the science behind that and adjusted it to act as a more humane EMP weapon.
Perhaps they can generate a geometrically altered warp field, or the load on each nacelle is lowered in order to maintain high warp for longer periods without suffering damage and/or being less of a drain on the warp drive and power systems. This could make them excellent fast responders during emergencies and war time, and keeping borders safe from potential incursions.

Because the last time we tried that, the subspace dimensional fabric was damaged in such an extent that unknown hostile transdimentional entities were discovered. One called itself "The Disney". All contact with the unknown lifeform was terminated as another classified file suggested it possessed a rapid assimilation ability even more deadly than the Borg. All events of said 20 warp nacelles + one ring from the experiment were classified. 😂😏
The U.S.S Raven name sounds mighty familiar, I think it might be from something I read a long time ago. Unfortunately I think that not being able to remember the where or why is going to bug me more than the skill on show in this video can distract me from.
One does not simply leave a single Borg alive, they should have pressed the advantage until the cube and everything on it was nothing more than ash. The lack of battle damage, higher detail, and particle effects is also disappointing, it makes the video appear basic & amateurish. I am not being cruel, I am just being honest.

You did such a good job with this one. Especially love 0:40 - 1:00 timeframe. The music used is a great piece and timed perfect for that shot.

Nebula refit is what this is. They left the battle too early. They should have blown the cube to pieces. Cool video.

When a design ahs no symmetry it is ugly and almost certainly has its utility degraded. the most effective weapons have always had symmetry
