I’m betting Jax’s depression will most likely be linked to his past life. EDIT: After rewatching the episode, I now see the real reason (that there wasn’t any violence), and I can’t say that I blame him for wanting something that didn’t end up happening.
@@kidiangatshiunza9942 True, but I’m thinking like the abstracting could possibly be like how a virus would work: either erasing any present data that’s seeable or corrupting the already inputted data (memories).
I mean, I’m not surprised that Jax could be depressed. It’s like what Alastor said. “Just because you see a smile, don’t think you know what’s going on underneath.”
it's funny how Circus Theory said ''gooseworx shouldn't go too far with these dark themes'' when they literally stated on their Twitter "Because so many super young impressionable children are into TADC, my new goal as a writer is to ruin their lives" that is something Gooseworx said btw she DOES not care about the kids and I'm all here for it lol
Technically.... if you think about it. Gooseworx does somewhat care about the kids. By making the Digital Circus darker and disturbing a lot of kids enough to get them to stop watching TADC means that the kids won't click on content farms, and not become victims of elsagate. She's practically saving their brains from being rotted. I also am all here for Gooseworx's idea. It's also what Mob Entertainment has been doing with Poppy Playtime. Mob realized how bad the content farm and elsagate situation really was, especially mascot horror, The Devs made chapter 3 and the franchise not for kids by making it much less colorful and more violent, gory, and mature, especially making the main antagonist nightmare fuel.
Theory: What if Jax is almost like the Angel Dust of tadc. Like he just bullies the others and acts like a jackass to push them away, but in reality he's hiding behind a mask where he actually cares about his friends and he's actually miserable.
In my opinion, I think he got an argument with the crocodile however, the alligator said something that was linked to his past life that made him depressed

It actually makes perfect sense that TADC is for "weird people in their 20's". In a way this show, with the Pilot as reference at least, alot of the themes and jokes only hit fully if you're someone who grew up in the mid 90's and through that time frame until today, has seen first hand what those themes reference. I just realize something on the secret wacky watch video in the first episode. We saw cane as a human. And he put on the headset and he took it off, so what if he can leave the circus but the other people circus members can’t
Here's my personal headcanon/fanfiction idea. when coming into the circus, Jax had more memories left behind than the others. He couldn't remember his name, or what he looked like, but he could remember bits and pieces of memories, specifically targeting a younger girl named Melissa. The girl had been his younger sister who was his partner in gaming. The two were really close, but he always liked to tease and taunt her like big brothers do. Melissa was a prodigy and was studying a speech when Jax asked to play a new VR game with her. She turned him down and said they could play tomorrow. He was impatient, and once everyone was asleep, he snuck out of his room and decided to play on his own. (since he's canonically 22, I figured that he was probably trapped for about 5 yrs or so, therefore he'd be 17 in this headcanon) He put the headset on, and his family never knew what happened to him. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to remember any more than a few small details of his sister's face, and eventually he can't take the despair anymore, and tries to block her from his mind. The reason he bullies people isn't because he wants to be a jerk, but because he's still searching for the playful and loving relationship he had with his little sister. He wants someone to appreciate him and his flaws the way that she did. Anywhoooo that's my AU lol
Given the theory of Jax being the next to abstract, it actually makes more sense than someone like Kinger or Gangle, because unlike those two, Jax is the one who could actually be trying to fool himself. Kinger might be mentally unstable in a way that's too on the nose, but that's the thing, he is so out of it to the point where that's his actual self, and Gangle quite literally decides the masks they want to show people, while Jax and Ragatha are the ones who are either lying to themselves, or find ways to keep themselves occupied rather than address their own issues. Jax spends the entirety of the pilot using jokes and lies to move the plot, rather than being straight forward about it. That can be interpreted as dodging the situations in a way where he feels in control.
“He’s one of the more recent circus members” Of the main cast, I think Jax was the third to join Since Pomni is the newest, Zooble is the second newest And Jax gave Gangle her name… confirmed in the Glitch X interview Which would potentially make Jax the third to join the circus after Kinger and Ragatha
there's one hole in this prediction, if jax abstracts in episode 2 then that means he can't be around for later adventures, including the spudsy's one where he's obviously present there's also the simple fact that he's a fan favorite (even the creator's) but yeah
Get ready to cry friends because this episode is gonna be a sad one! As someone who's gone through somewhat of a depression I'm probably gonna end up relating to how Jax feels if this is about him and yeah my emotional butt is gonna end up sobbing. The theory of Jax hiding his true feelings through a persona is something I relate to greatly. I usually tend to keep my feelings to myself to not attract attention and seem needy but when something serious happens to me say like moving somewhere new or a special person leaves my life I break.
i love how you acknowledged how serious depression is. as someone who battles it its reassuring tat people are talking about it in a serious way that it should be talked about
Yall i have a theorie: maybe the episode will be about Jax being "ignored" by the others circus members because they're more focused on the candy queen, so when they are all in the candy car, Jax pulls up a gun to have everyone attention and scare Gangle by the same occasion, which by idk how will make Gangle loses control of the car and maybe get caugh by the candy monster. at 8:24, we see that Jax is about to fall of the car, i think the others are no matter what save him. And after this maybe Jax will feel bad for what he did and somehow try to say sorry? or not and try to make the Candy queen haves less attention to the others but while he does that he find that out the Queen is bad and idk . But even though that, i don't he will abstract. (i hope so). (sorry for the mistakes while i spell and if i write too much)
Considering that each episode (excluding the pilot) will basically be about going in-depth with the characters personalities, we can infer that each character has some mental issues. My character assumptions are below: Jax - Depression, as shown in the video. Perhaps he acts like a jerk to everyone and laughs at everything to hide his pain. He wishes that he had someone to talk to, because he perhaps is just extremely lonely, but nobody wants to be his friend. So he bullies others to hide his pain, but it’s at the cost of loneliness. Zooble - watched her parents die at a young age. It might sound stupid, but think about it. Zooble always acts sassy to everyone and tries to introvert herself. Perhaps this is because her parents died at a young age and she became an orphan before entering adulthood and getting trapped in the digital circus. She had no parents to treat her how to act, and she blames her loneliness on other people by acting mean. Gangle - she has a fear of showing her true self. Gangle always lets whatever mask she is wearing choose how she acts. If she’s wearing her comedy mask, she’s happy. When she’s wearing her other mask, she’s sad and is extremely sensitive. She doesn’t know who she really is anymore so she just lets her masks choose her mood. Ragatha - she’s slowly going insane. In the pilot, we see her acting friendly and kind towards everyone else that’s in the digital circus with her, but perhaps she is just trying to mask her insanity of being trapped in the circus with friendliness. We see an example of this in the pilot when she gets out of hand when explaining to Pomni what happens when someone in the digital circus goes insane and forgets who they are and why they’re alive. Kinger - he was judged throughout his whole life. He’s constantly anxious and worried because he’s scared that any little thing that he says, he will be heavily judged for. Pomni - perhaps she is stuck in an endless loop of constantly trying hard to fulfill both her needs and wants. She tries her best at everything, but to no avail as she is constantly losing what she cares about. This could explain why shes constantly confused or giving up on things easily. I believe Pomni will also be the “miracle” for everyone that is trapped in the circus with her. She will be the one to find the hidden exit to the circus in the final episode which will allow everyone to escape and work on their mental issues, hence leading to a cliffhanger ending.
My Theory: Jax will not be abstracted in the episode 2 bc we see him in the minimum wage episode which will probably be episode 3 and if Jax does abstract then Caine will probably stop it before Jax turns completely but this is just a theory lol
Something tells me the show is about the five stages of grief. Pilot: Pomni is in Denial Ep1: Possible Anger (Maybe Ragtha) Ep2: Depression (could be about Gangle) Ep3: Bargaining (maybe Jax lost a bet with the maid outfit) Ep4: Acceptance (Kinger probably) Ep5: Normal (Zooble) Ep6: Regret? (That leaves Kaufmo)
@@NifftyTheYandere Shows have age restrictions and its more than just giving kids trauma: It quite literally needs a fair bit of life experience in order for you to fully grasp it. Something I'm willing to bet you don't have.
Also another way of seeing the metaphor: we see Gummigoo and Pomni get glitched into a place. Gummigoo starts to realize he isn’t even real and starts to think about who he really is (I think that’s one of the cases where someone gets depressed since he doesn’t know his reason to live anymore). Plus the place has a dark atmosphere and hidden, just like depression. So basically, the place Gummigoo and Pomni got glitched into can represent depression because of how dark the atmosphere is. We even see Gummigoo starting to get depressed (I think) because he starts to realize that he’s not even real when he entered the place. He even gets scared once he accidentally entered the glitched place. Tho one thing is out of place, Pomni. We don’t see her get depressed when she entered the glitched place. So it’s either she already has depression and knows how to cope with it or she’s hiding it. But I think she is like a guiding light for Gummigoo since she wants to help him get to the circus where he feels belonged. (This is not confirmed tho but that’s just how I think)
Might as well get as much theorizing out as we can before the episode drops: Going off of the possibility of Jax starting to absract and hiding his hand, imagine if Pomni is the only one who finds out (either by Jax telling her or she sees it without him knowing). I honestly feel like that shot of Pomni at 7:47 looking down to the side, with a stunned expression is going to happen at the end of the episode, possibly even be the final shot. What if she's looking at Jax's gloved, abracting hand?
as a early teenager i don't care if its dark or not Ive always wanted to watch a show thats a kids show on the outside, but very dark, im talking like salad fingers dark.
In the shot it looks like Jax has been kidnapped by the crocodile like things, he thinks no one is going to save him due to how mean he is towards everyone, that's why he's tracing on the floor?
depression is a serious mental issue, and can lead to losing interest in things, being rude/cold hearted to others, and getting hurt so i doubt thats the case
Idk random theory but what if Jax had like a best friend he was actually nice to and they abstracted so now he is mean because he doesnt wanna get attached to anyone just in case they abstract
Your theory is great and would make a great episode, but sadly if you look at a sneak peak for episode 3 then you can see that jax actually is still here
If you look closely at Jax reacting to Kaufmo's Abstraction, you can see his facial expression looks either sad or irritated. I realized that thanks to Not Your Real Name Not At All and the ClownBunny (Jax X Kaufmo) shipping wiki page.
One of the reason I don’t like the trailers is because it kind of spoils most scenes of the video, and then ends up you knowing a scene maybe every 5 or 10 seconds in the episode, but other than that I really am hyped for episode two,the wait was definitely worth it
Erm actually there’s a literally a rabbit puppet On one of the doors that feels like it would make way more sense for Jax to have known and been close to especially because in the real world bunnies are rarely alone and if you get a pet bunny you should get more than one because of that. they get very lonely.
About the “happy colorful world having a serious topic/depressing” (wow I forgot how to word stuff) there was a character that came to mind My favorite character from a game is the most happy and cheerful character in the game. She wants to do shows that can make everyone smile, but because of her want to make everyone smile, she feels like she always has to be smiling too, so whenever she is sad or bothered by something, she just fakes acting really energetic like normal, but you can still tell something is bothering her (im surprised only like 2 characters in the entire game noticed she was sad, it feels kinda obvious). She also makes excuses for crying (“what. No! I’m not crying! I…. Just… my eyes were watering because I didn’t get enough sleep last night! I’m fine!”) and if she thinks that someone noticed she was upset, she just thinks she made everyone worry about her and gets kinda sad That was a bit off topic but yeah got reminded of that
The colorful theme actually makes sense since people with depression don’t really all that sad but actually happy and it’s only when they commit suicide that they are depressed
Theory for the pomni abstract scene I believe the scene is actually pomni nightmare where she abstract and then she wake up and fall off the bed in that other scene in the trailer.
I actually posted a video on my channel like about an hour ago, maybe less, talking about some scenes in the trailer that caught my eye, and I also talked about the scene where it shows Jax looking sad, and how it’s definitely different from how we saw him in the pilot!
Another theory is: Since goodeworx said that someone had to abstract, jaxx might have been sad that one of the members abstracted (Possibly Ragatha, Galngle, or Zooble) But he just dosent tell anyone because he needs to stay sane.
Ok I know everyone is thinking that Jax is gonna abstract but honestly I think not sense we see in a clip that Jax is going to explore customer service and sense the best episode is in a CANDY KINGDOM there will probably be no customer service, so therefore I think Jax is not gonna abstract.
This is true 1:59 I lost interest in my main focus in life , being a artist, I sat there .. but I’m back better then ever , remember, there’s always something happy in something somewhat sad
4:49 I love how dude went from just random theories to making the most insane quotes and just going off about the stark contrast between depressed people masking their feelings and looking happy, but actually being sad af
I don’t think the episode will circle around Jax but instead the candy queen, Goose mentioned that episode 2 will be about a character we haven’t met yet. But Jax we’ve already met of course. But the candy queen is someone we’ve never seen before. So the episode can’t circle around any of the main cast since we’ve already met them.
The theme of depression makes sense cause some people me included put up a front of being happy so a brightly colored world while still being sad would make sense
Gooseworx said the 2nd episode would be about a character we haven’t met yet which explains the mysterious blue eye in the newest teaser/trailer that nobody know what it is. I think it will be the ghost that we saw in the last teaser on the Glitch channel.
I maby feel bad but i am dying to see jax cry and i know that during a live stream gosseworx says " i should abrouptyl apologies to all the bunnydoll shippers"
I don't think Jax would be abstracting yet since we once saw him getting a role of a cashier from what seems to be a much later episode in the video "Pomni wake up"
I think it goes to show that when you say somebody is “depressed” because they are sad then you are wrong. Just wrong. I used to be depressed and i acted very happy so that other people wouldn’t be depressed like me. It hurt… really hurt… Edit: just realised he covered this, thanks.
dude the new image they just released may confirm what your talking about with jax, in the image glitch shared you can see all the characters being shocked scared or excited however jax is there with a long face and no emotion whatsoever, just a thought
gooseworks has said that Jax is'nt good so many times. so i that it could be true or it is'nt. if i was a showrunner i would throw the fanbase off with something unbeliveble yet so obvious
yeaaaa... I know she said that, but I also know that Jax is her favorite via other posts.... Which makes me think she wouldn't abstract him yet, or make him completely evil. Plus, she's known to lie to fans just to watch us suffer lol

I’m literally a minor and if I can watch Hazbin Hotel I can watch the digital circus lol
Okay the real question is, who is gonna be the one comforting Jax that people would probably make ships with
Pinocchio would not be happy if he sold his shoe like he would be angry. He only likes kid friendly shows.
Yeah ep 2 is deffo sadder than ep 1. They deffo took more time with quieter and mature moments than the actual adventure
Something tells me the show is about the five stages of grief.
Pilot: Pomni is in Denial
Ep1: Possible Anger (Maybe Ragtha)
Ep2: Depression (could be about Gangle)
Ep3: Bargaining (maybe Jax lost a bet with the maid outfit)
Ep4: Acceptance (Kinger probably)
Ep5: Normal (Zooble)
Ep6: Regret? (That leaves Kaufmo)
oh wait good theory
Turns out jax just wanted death and violence and was in fact not depressed
Who is here after episode 2?
Me!
I may be young, but I understand a lot of things 0:59 5:22
Same im 10 but i LOVE dark humor and talking about murder and death 😅
@@Cheeseboywithukefan Girl... First, your too young to be on youtube, second, dont say your age on the internet, and third, get out!
@@Cheeseboywithukefan please do not tell your age on the internet. Though when I was 10 I did enjoy joking about that
@@Cheeseboywithukefanok we get it but pls dont share ur age on internet its bad bad bad very bad
@@Cheeseboywithukefan GIRLY SAME IM NOT TEN THO
"Episode 5 is probably Gonna be about king having a shotgun"Got me laughing
7:15 “they could lose a huge chunk of there child audience” I wish 😭
Tbh im young and i understand it all without being traumatized
Sure...
@@capertain16325 no im being honest,
@@NifftyTheYandere Shows have age restrictions and its more than just giving kids trauma: It quite literally needs a fair bit of life experience in order for you to fully grasp it. Something I'm willing to bet you don't have.
@@capertain16325 True, but im not a CHILD im a teen (Can't say age for reasons)
@@NifftyTheYandere That wouldn't be "young" then.
Pomni might have been thinking “we can find a way out, it’s gonna be ok” and that’s why she wasn’t depressed?
Might as well get as much theorizing out as we can before the episode drops:
Going off of the possibility of Jax starting to absract and hiding his hand, imagine if Pomni is the only one who finds out (either by Jax telling her or she sees it without him knowing).
I honestly feel like that shot of Pomni at 7:47 looking down to the side, with a stunned expression is going to happen at the end of the episode, possibly even be the final shot. What if she's looking at Jax's gloved, abracting hand?
my first thought when you said depression:
"TAKE THAT DEPRESSION!!!!!"
-Lucifer
as a early teenager i don't care if its dark or not Ive always wanted to watch a show thats a kids show on the outside, but very dark, im talking like salad fingers dark.
omg this comforted me a lil bit bc i have depression
In the shot it looks like Jax has been kidnapped by the crocodile like things, he thinks no one is going to save him due to how mean he is towards everyone, that's why he's tracing on the floor?
Yeah I think you right
depression is a serious mental issue, and can lead to losing interest in things, being rude/cold hearted to others, and getting hurt so i doubt thats the case
@@soodeboodonut352js like the ribs case
i am so excited for the episode honestly
Oh, I was joking I was just bored I was just doing it for fun. Sorry everybody.😂😂
One of the reason I don’t like the trailers is because it kind of spoils most scenes of the video, and then ends up you knowing a scene maybe every 5 or 10 seconds in the episode, but other than that I really am hyped for episode two,the wait was definitely worth it
Atleast i can relate to this episode
DEPRESSION
Erm actually there’s a literally a rabbit puppet On one of the doors that feels like it would make way more sense for Jax to have known and been close to especially because in the real world bunnies are rarely alone and if you get a pet bunny you should get more than one because of that. they get very lonely.
About the “happy colorful world having a serious topic/depressing” (wow I forgot how to word stuff) there was a character that came to mind
My favorite character from a game is the most happy and cheerful character in the game. I’m fine!”) and if she thinks that someone noticed she was upset, she just thinks she made everyone worry about her and gets kinda sad
That was a bit off topic but yeah got reminded of that
The colorful theme actually makes sense since people with depression don’t really all that sad but actually happy and it’s only when they commit suicide that they are depressed
Theory for the pomni abstract scene
I believe the scene is actually pomni nightmare where she abstract and then she wake up and fall off the bed in that other scene in the trailer.
Okay I actually really wanted an episode to cover this so this’ll be amazing!!
But we see Pomni with an abstracted arm. Where does that fit in?
Maybe he also has suicidal thoughts because how he looked when he pulled the gun.
I actually posted a video on my channel like about an hour ago, maybe less, talking about some scenes in the trailer that caught my eye, and I also talked about the scene where it shows Jax looking sad, and how it’s definitely different from how we saw him in the pilot!
I'm a kid and I see that the amazing digital circus isn't for kids😮😢
Damnn.... your story at the end is so sad😢
Another theory is:
Since goodeworx said that someone had to abstract, jaxx might have been sad that one of the members abstracted
(Possibly Ragatha, Galngle, or Zooble)
But he just dosent tell anyone because he needs to stay sane.
Im a kid but i really understand this stuff. It never happened to me, i dont have depression. My cousins probably dont but i do.
I just watched the most skibidi toilet thing and I came upon this
To be honest it has 30% total drama humor.
Bro I grew up with shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog, I'm so glad kids these days will get that horrifying experience too.
Ok I know everyone is thinking that Jax is gonna abstract but honestly I think not sense we see in a clip that Jax is going to explore customer service and sense the best episode is in a CANDY KINGDOM there will probably be no customer service, so therefore I think Jax is not gonna abstract.
Team here before and hour

LOVE YOUR VIDS
This is true 1:59 I lost interest in my main focus in life , being a artist, I sat there .. but I’m back better then ever , remember, there’s always something happy in something somewhat sad
4:49 I love how dude went from just random theories to making the most insane quotes and just going off about the stark contrast between depressed people masking their feelings and looking happy, but actually being sad af
Fr
I don’t think the episode will circle around Jax but instead the candy queen, Goose mentioned that episode 2 will be about a character we haven’t met yet. But Jax we’ve already met of course. But the candy queen is someone we’ve never seen before. So the episode can’t circle around any of the main cast since we’ve already met them.
Im turning 14 and i completely understood the show, i might not be the target audience but i understand
LOL SAME
"Oh you're _ yrs old! U probably watch skibidi toilet and brainrot!"
"Tf?"
3 through 10 is actually crazy💀
The theme of depression makes sense cause some people me included put up a front of being happy so a brightly colored world while still being sad would make sense
IS JAX OKAY-
(uh also i understand depression and also kinda gets to me)
That’s some crazy theories. I can’t wait for Episode 2, but I hope Jax won’t abstract just yet. I like Jax.
Cool
It hurt… really hurt…
Edit: just realised he covered this, thanks.
dude the new image they just released may confirm what your talking about with jax, in the image glitch shared you can see all the characters being shocked scared or excited however jax is there with a long face and no emotion whatsoever, just a thought
I don’t care what waiting it gets. I don’t care how bad it gets. I’m still watching it.
I ALREADY HAD ENOUGH I DOTN NEED A REMINDER THAT I HAVE DEPRESSION TH-cam..
gooseworks has said that Jax is'nt good so many times. so i that it could be true or it is'nt. if i was a showrunner i would throw the fanbase off with something unbeliveble yet so obvious
yeaaaa... I know she said that, but I also know that Jax is her favorite via other posts.... Which makes me think she wouldn't abstract him yet, or make him completely evil. Plus, she's known to lie to fans just to watch us suffer lol
