i enjoyed this video. thank you. And there is no waste, as long as we use the materials we have. I know people like to get two cards from one 8x11 sheets of paper, but if you want a larger one, than that's great too. NO waste as it's being used and the scraps. every crafter has "scrap" peices after cutting bases or other templates. I do what brings me joy and what those enjoy, who i gift them too
I have been card making for years and I still have problems with measuring and cutting cardstock. I also make cards blanks ahead of time and it saves me time. I will be watching your videos many times. TFS.
I have been cutting cards and fronts for the last 4 hours, lol I love the idea of having card bases and fronts and trims ready to go I spend half my time getting supplies together and then cutting and cutting. This is will be so much easier, thank you for this and the other videos. I on the hunt now for the one where you did the sentiment sizes. love that idea also. This video is a little different but I love it that you explained it all so well.
Great video, thank you. Now I know what to do when I want to do something creative but don’t know what… I have a drawer full of envelopes, some of which don’t have card bases… cutting a bunch of card bases to fit the unusual size envelopes will make them ready to use when inspiration strikes 😊👍
I've been cardmaking for years and just yesterday realised that I don't have envelopes the right size for some cards I've made. It makes so much sense to prepare. Thank you.
I have done some of this. When I don't know what to do or what to make I go thru my cardstock, stamps dies to get me motivated. Which sometimes by the time I do that,I'm in the mood to make something, but I ran out of time. I have cut front panels, cards bases but I have found myself using something different..I have to have more discipline I guess.Use what I prepared..love doing spray inks on cardstock, other techniques then can't decide which one to use.. cause what I did. And what I want to make, might not be the colors I want to do then. And I like them all.. oh boy !! Anyway, I just started to complete cards and put in container so I'll have cards done ahead of time. Slow starting. But I'm attempting to do ahead of time. This is all still new to me. Thanks for Sharing this.
What a great idea you have! I often purchase card and envelope sets and I use them so quickly because they are so handy, now I can make my own sets instead!
Thank you for sharing this. I, too, make card bases ahead of time. Where did you get your Inter Design basket from? I'm unable to find them. Thank you.
Good morning! I came across your video today ( 2 years after you posted), which I'm happy that I did. I have a question about the cardstock you mentioned in the video. You said that it's Oxian Opaque Digital cardstock. Where do you purchase this? Is it a reasonable price compared to Neenah? I love Neenah paper but can be a little pricey. I always like to purchase heavy weight cardstock for bases, but unfortunately, I have purchased at times a ream of paper (different brand) that is labeled 110 pound weight, but it ends up not the weight I'm looking for in my card bases. It tends to be not as heavy. I'm hoping you see this comment and can help a girl out. Thanks so much for your videos. I've enjoyed all the ones I've watched so far.
A4 = 210mm x 297mm OR 8.27 in x 11.69 in 210/2 = 105mm OR 4.13 inches 297/2= 148.5mm OR 5.85 inches For side folding cards, cut across the 297mm side and make your CUT @148.5mm Rotate one turn and SCORE @ 105mm For top folding cards, cut across the 210mm and make your cut @ 105mm. Rotate tone turn and SCORE @ 148.5mm I hope this helps!
Hello Kathy! I do make my own envelopes most of the time. I have a ton of videos on my channel showing how yo make my envelopes. I also have a few books of envelopes and projects that I've written and sell on my website too. These books are a how to guide for paper crafts. They give you step by step instructions on how to cut, score and complete envelopes, boxes and so much more. If you watch my videos you'll see me pull it out many many times! www.jennycards.ca
Hi Jenny I know you collect Gina K and I happened to have theee mi I repeated. Would you like to exchange it for another Gina K or if you don’t any Gina K duplicate for something that you have repeated. Mine are new but I don’t care if you have something used. I a, new to this and trying to build my Stacy. I made two orders close together and got the same incentive stamps twice and ordered twice the same product without realizing. You know how that works I am sure. Let me know. Love your videos and explanations.

Cool idea !😊
Great video thank you
I love these videos 💚💚
Great idea to prep all different sizes.
Awaiting the video where you show us how you decorate these cards 💕 thanks in advance !
Thank you for sharing. I appreciate it. I have truly made a mess of a bunch of card-stock.
TFS! I'm a newcomer to card making and the creativity is exploding inside my mind! Time to get crafty!

Thank you Jenny. I really needed your video to help me with paper cutting in different sizes so I appreciate it so much. Have a great day!! 😊

I think your videos are great!! I just found you yesterday and have been binge watching since.
Glad you like them!
I’m so use to make A2size cards; I wouldn’t know how to decorate those other sizes but grateful for the measurements 😉
I love the preparation. I will add this to my card learning. Thank you.
Great video. Practical and inspiring!
I like to prep card bases and envelopes also; it's a great idea! Your large envelopes are elegant!
Very neat way to store your cards. Can't wait to see what you create especially with the larger cards.
I’m also a fan of BIG cards. I much rather sit down to make an A7 (5x7) or 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 card than an A2 (5 1/2 x4 1/4) size.
Thank you thank you
Thanks for sharing! This is so great for people like me that are beginners. Definitely one I’ll keep for reference!!
You could score before cutting so you only have to score once. TFS
A friend just showed me that trick. It is so much faster since you only score once instead of twice. 😊
What a great idea you have! I often purchase card and envelope sets and I use them so quickly because they are so handy, now I can make my own sets instead!
As always I enjoy your videos.
Thank you for showing us how to make cards. May I ask where and what size bag u used?
Nice idea
thank you. I've only been card making a year or so, and just now branching out into paper gifts as well(bookmarks, recipe cards etc)
Great idea on card bases.
Thank you for sharing this. I, too, make card bases ahead of time. Where did you get your Inter Design basket from? I'm unable to find them. Thank you.
I always enjoy your videos will you be doing the mini slimline video as well?

I purchased the accent opaque digital from Amazon. When you are looking for a heavyweight paper, look at the GSM. 250 gsm and higher is what you want
Here in the UK
We don't have 8 1/2 x 11 so difficult to cut to your sizes
What size is your standard cardstock?
A4 = 210mm x 297mm OR 8.27 in x 11.69 in
210/2 = 105mm OR 4.13 inches
297/2= 148.5mm OR 5.85 inches
For side folding cards, cut across the 297mm side and make your CUT @148.5mm
Rotate one turn and SCORE @ 105mm
For top folding cards, cut across the 210mm and make your cut @ 105mm.
Rotate tone turn and SCORE @ 148.5mm
I hope this helps!
I have LOTS of card bases and card fronts, haven’t felt good for a month.
Even scoring my cards, they don't fold straight.
Do the 5x7 cards take more postage to send?
Did you make the envelopes too Jenny? I’m a newbie to crafting and would love to see how to make the envelope too please.

Hi. Send me an email jennycarddesigns@gmail.com
Let me know which sets you have and see if we can make a deal!
You must be buying pre-made envelopes that match that paper? Where?
How do I get the information for the projects
Hi those envelope sizes can you send me the template I like the big cards as well thank you.
I love your videos but UK card size is not the same as US so can't cut to your measurements Jo xx
