Agree with this. The condo I'm living in now is a bit old and they didn't future-proofed their utility connections for fiber-optic capability. So now were paying the same rates as those communities beside us but we get slower speeds because were not fiber-ready.
Good tips in buying a condo specifically in the Philippines. Honest suggestions unlike most filipino realtors that are just interested in their commissions. If buying a resale condo, just make sure that there are no current pest infestation like rats and cockroaches in the unit or building. Also, a 2 bedroom would be a good option if you will rent one bedroom and especially if you don't live there permanently. A location that is near MMC or St. Lukes should also be considered if you plan to have it rented as airbnb or for families who need to check-in in a good hospital coming from far areas of the country.
Also my first time to live in a condo, I've been living in this condo since the pandemic. It's a low rise, low population resort type condo which is a little old but I love the serenity inside. There are a lot of open spaces, landscaped gardens, huge trees and birds and it's in Metro Manila. The units are big usually 42sqm 2 BR units and each unit comes with a 8sqm rooftop drying cage. The thing I noticed though after living here for 4 years, is the people dynamics of the residents. It's not that everyone's unfriendly, I think everyone is just guarded. But because of social media, group chats, a lot of residents form friendships through the group chats. I think the reason people are guarded with their relationships is because they have opened themselves to friendships before but the relationships break down for some reason or another probably due to familiarity or cabin fever. But in 4 years, I've made myself popular with the residents because of the group chats. I also engage with the senior citizens group so I'm on their good side. I also touch base with the maintenance and housekeeping people, always returning their greetings with genuine cheerfulness.

Kaya nga ba we don’t buy any properties even if afford kasi we don’t want the hassle. If pangit admin and neighbors, lipat agad. Deal-breaker sa akin kapag walang fiber internet, service elevators, and garbage chutes each floor 😅 Most importantly water pressure and kung may sariling tangke ang condo. Hirap mawalan ng tubig kasi
Helpful tips and advices! How I wished, you could have mentioned about the electric voltage in every condo’s to be dual. If you’re living in the US (110V) most likely you will be bringing small electric appliances and won’t work there (220V) You don’t want to be buying so many transformers on all areas needed. Just saying. 🇵🇭🇺🇸

Hi! Yes, it’s generally 220v in the PH, including appliances sold locally. :) if you’re moving, i suggest to just purchase the appliances here.
