      Just bought mine as the combo, perfect setup to be honest. The only thing I want to add is the raven eye to transmit the video to my phone as I haven’t bought a monitor yet. Overall it’s perfect

    8:18 bit of misinformation. The RS3 combo does NOT come with Raveneye. Only in the RS3 Pro Combo.

  • @HamishJoy

    I am just an enthusiast, not pro at all. I use an a7iii with Tamron lenses… plus, I rarely use manual focus lenses. With this in mind, I simply won’t need RS3 Pro.
    However, I really really want the Transmission system and the active track. For this, I understand I can use the Transmission system along with RS3 and that should be enough. I will be losing out on LiDar support. I’m tempted by the carbon fiber body, and I may find the smaller handle slightly less comfortable.
    But what else will I be losing if I go with the RS3 and not the RS3 Pro?

    Just noticed that none of the online retailers here in the US has the Raveneye Image Transmission System as part of the RS3 combo this time. But last week they did. Now they’re being listed used on eBay for twice the retail price

    Great video/review that's sold it to me.....out of interest I use a Fuji XH-2 and saw you're using a fuji too what is your go-to lens for out and about filming, that is not so noisy you end up hearing it on the footage? Cheers Charle

    Great review of the RS3 and 3 pro gimbals. I noticed that you are pretty much the only person on YT that demonstrated the Gimbal using a Fuji camera. That said I was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions on that. Are you able to connect and start recording via bluetooth on your XT3? Also are there other limitations when using a fuji camera as opposed to other brands like Sony, Canon etc? Also there is no content on YT on how to shoot in portrait mode on the RS3 . Do you need the DJI vertical bracket accessory? or does it work natively when changing modes?

    • @Cam_made_Tee
      @Cam_made_Tee ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t use Fuji but I can answer the last portion…you have to switch the mode and it will give you access to Potrait mode and 360 Roll. I believe it’s limited to certain things, because when I use portrait mode I cannot use the nob/move direction of the gimbal with the bottom.

  • @rayjaylvhh

    Does DJI RS 3 Combo really comes with Raven Eye? On DJI website it's not included. That's why I think I will keep my RSC 2 for now. If combo would come with Raven Eye and phone holder I would definetly go for DJI RS 3 Combo.

    • @PetrKrenzelok
      @PetrKrenzelok 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For RS3 as a solo operator gimbal, there should have included the on-gimbal active tracking in the first place. Ravenyey has a significant lag, you can't use it for live streaming production imo anyway, so why the hassle with the RaveEye to just get the tracking?

    • @rayjaylvhh
      @rayjaylvhh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PetrKrenzelok My thoughts exactly. Since I didn't see Raven Eye included I thoiugh that Active track will be built in but no, nothing.

      I actually paused the video when he said the Raven Eye was included. First review to mention that it was part of the RS3 combo. I didn’t see it when I did my pre-order this week.

    RSC2 set a pretty high bar for its successor. I loved that gimbal.
    Probably going to sell my RS2 and go small again with the RS3. I didn't need the extra payload.

    Anyone know how sensitive this is to grabbing the lens and pulling focus manually? I’ve had the Zhiyun crane plus for years and have always been able to grab the lens and pull focus without it freaking out or going limp. Are these the same?

    While I really like they've made RS3 closer to the RS3 Pro, I really can't stand the ommision of the active tracking for the RS3. RS3 is a gimbal for solo producers and is supposed to allow quick setups. Why should one use Raven Eye and a smartphone to get the tracking? Too much of a hassle for simple situations imo. The only differentiation for the Pro should imo really be just the - size / payload and the ecosystem of add-ons.

    • @HamishJoy
      @HamishJoy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agreed. I am an amateur enthusiast, and I will never be using the high end cameras, so in terms of payload, I really will never need the pro. But the active tracking alone is forcing me to consider the pro version - but i'd be paying for so many featues that I don't need at all... It's a tough call for me.

    • @ravurmovie
      @ravurmovie 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your damn right! Why can't we use the oled screen on the RS3! The size and payload is perfect for travel and quick use. But why do i need to be forced to use a separate device inorder to use the raveneye?! This keeps me from buying the RS3. Hopefully they will add a firmware update cause i don't think it's a hardware issue cause they use the same screen and internal processor.
