Legend speaks of a man named Ergo who wished to explore the Erebus dimension. However, when he got there, he discovered there was a terrible curse placed upon the dimension. He turned to his partner, Taxes, and asked him "How do I survive the curse?" Taxes thought long and hard, and eventually said "You must find the legendary Etho and ask him about the secrets of Sandy City." So Ergo picked up his trusty Staff of Gae and ventured to Vanilla, the kingdom where the legendary Etho supposedly lived. After a long and hard journey, he arrived at a mysterious cave. Inside, he found the hermit Etho. Etho gave him snacks and rest after Ergo's long journey, then took his hand and guided him to Sandy City. Upon arriving, he saw a group of llamas, which walked by and paid him no heed. However, a few minutes later, they walked by again, and again, and Ergo realized they were going around Sandy City. Ergo turned to Etho and asked, "Etho, how do the llamas go around Sandy City like that?" Etho responded, "I would normally never tell anyone the secrets of Sandy City, but you have journeyed far, so I will tell you. They turned their render distance down all the way and turned their graphics to fast." Emboldened, Ergo returned to his home, and explored the Erebus dimension free of curses.
Try making magical crops armour, as you saw, you have most of the set. Also, fun facts: 1) Botflys are a real thing... 2) An exscript from the FTB wiki "A maximum of three Bot Fly larvae can fit on the players body" Imagine three of those... 3) You almost have full zivicio armour in your system. A full set enables flight.
The botfly seems very annoying and unbalanced. From what I've read, it renders one unable to pass through portals, and you have to drink beetle juice to get rid of it. There is no other way to get rid of it, and you can't really do anything about it once it happens. Extremely stupid and not fun at all IMO.
Hey Etho, been catching up on this series the past couple weeks hoping you'd do a few things eventually: 1. Upgrade your armor, stop washing the early game artifact stuff -- for instance Ender IO armor gives solar power, speed, no fall dmg, night vision, etc. 2. Make a better jetpack -- the energy usage is insanely (seriously) better at top tier, and can charge held items so you don't have to stress about carrying capacitor banks around all the time (plus hovering perfectly in place is irreplaceable when building) 3. Re-build your teleporters! Teleporters work like tessaracts (they only "link" when they're both on the same channel), just set each to its own channel and constantly change which channel your portable is set to, then you can teleport anywhere. Perfect for getting home when stranded or going from dimension to dimension (as well as planets). 4. Add more farm slots to your minicio farm (and capacitor farm especially) -- items trickling in slowly isn't going to keep up with you 5. Invest in a wireless charger to save time worrying about powering stuff in your inventory Tip for this video: Heat glass can be chiseled from regular glass Cheers, thanks for all the videos!
Been watching this series for the first time, as one of my first actual introductions to modded. Up until recently, I couldn't play any heavily modded stuff, cause my laptop would decide on a gracious 5fps to play it on (even with performance boosting mods in the pack). Finally got a good desktop though, and I've been wanting to start something modded for ages! Just didn't know where to start, or how most of these mods worked (and how they could or couldn't work together). This series has been a blessing! Besides just being fun to watch, even if not everything is shown in full detail, it's definitely helped me get a broader overview of how a bunch of the mods work, so I have a starting point to figure some things out myself as well. Already started a modded world up, and actually made a bit of process for once! A late thanks for the series, Etho!
That weird grid on the immersive engineering tool tips is showing you which sides you can use to send and receive power using that block. You can use the engineers hammer to change a side between send (orange), receive (blue) and off. You can use a Capacitor or energetic infuser to charge your wireless terminal as well as the AE stuff. If you build an Enderio wireless charger it should keep all of your RF powered items charged while you are in your base.
It was quite buggy at first too. It kept crashing until Etho found the fly on the wall and was able swat it away. Also, did you notice that the redgem stuff looks a bit like la-r-va.
Yay, Etho read my botfly post! Shame he didn't milk a beetle before encountering the botflies. Here's another tip, Etho: Long Fall Boots count as diamond level armor, and they have no durability so they won't break. I used to always try and get them ASAP early game because of that.
Everyone’s talking about how he got rid of the botfly by going to Jupiter, but then he used the same method of transport to go to hell, where he found it again and died.
Dear ergo, you are correct about the wireless crafting terminal being the terminal that uses the infinity card. Ive given a lot of advice, so now im going to help you with items that can resurrect you! You have been deleting whitestones, (loot bag) however they can be charged on full moons in an open area and then upgraded to bloodstones by chucking them onto the ground during a blood moon. Bloodstones give hp regen AND resurrect you.Bloodstones can be charged by killing mobs. In botania, you have many struggles with the Gaia gaurdian. Try fighting the gaia gaurdian 2, summoned with a gaia ingot (terrasteel and gaia spirit) The gaia guardian 2 gives a lot more gaia spirits. They can be used to make laurel crowns, a head bauble that can also revive you. (craft laurel with other botania cosmetics such as eyebrows to apply cosmetic effect on top of crown) and lastly, try eating the red/yellow hearts. They restore 10/20 hp and are good in a pinch.
Etho, set the compacting drawers back up, just use a storage bus on the back of the drawer controller, it will save you so much trouble in the long run.
Etho, you should really invest in a Dark Soularium Jetplate. It is the next tier of your jetpack and is extremely fun. It takes a bit of resources, but you will be happy you've made it. It also has more armor on one item than your whole current setup. If you need to be convinced, just go to a creative world, spawn one in, set it to hover mode, and sprint a bit.
Etho u are ballin out of control on everything except armor in this series, you need to invest in some armor perhaps terrasteel armor, or dark plate armor, or maybe make a flux infused chestplate, or possibly a full zivicio set either way u need armor. Keep up the great work your the best!
You can reconfigure the input and output sides of the capacitors using the immersive engineering hammer. The tool tip on the capacitors looks like its showing you the input / output configuration. Shift click will configure the 'opposite' face, when configuring input and output with the hammer.
Just wanted to say thank you, Ergo, for continuing to make TH-cam videos. With all the problems other creators have with TH-cam's demonetizing and forcing them out [Doc, BDubs, etc.], it's nice to still have some good content to watch once in a while.
Ergo, that infinite booster card is for a addon ae2 mod specifically for a wireless crafting terminal. You can stick the card in that one, and itll work even without a wireless acess point as long as its synced in the security terminal. Works across dimensions as well
Etho, the Immersive engineering power bank things can be configured using a wrench by right clicking to toggle between disabled, in and out. The squares that appear when you shift is a poorly done interface to show the configuration of the sides using the standard system: Blue = input Orange = output Gray/white = disabled The sides are in the same order as thermal expansion's system.
1. Those blue and orange dots are the standard input/output faces. It was showing you what side was input/output 2. Yes, you need the wireless *crafting* terminal to use that card. The card goes in the bottom right slot, removing the distance requirement of the wireless access point. It also allows it to work across dimensions. AE2 crafting and item access literally anywhere, as long as your main system is powered and loaded.
The immersive engineering capacitors can be configured to take power in on any side. Just right click with an immersive engineering hammer. When you shift and have the item in your inventory (like you did), you see the side configuration: Blue is input, orange is output.
I need to catch up with this series but I've been too busy but I wanna say I love you, and every time I get a notification saying you uploaded a video I get super happy. Do what you enjoy doing and play anything and I'll watch.
The blue and orange dots when you moused over the Immersive Engineering capacitors are config info, you can change the input/output sides on them with your Engineer's Hammer (a bit of percussive maintenance always helps). That means that you can connect the EnderIO cables to any side of them, you just need to hammer the capacitor first.
Probably the dumbest feature I have ever seen in my entire life. An un-removable permanent damage state that hurts you forever and ever and kicks your around, unable to do anything unless you knew to prepare beforehand? Stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid idea. It might as well just do a billion damage because if you don't fix it immediately you'll never fix it at all and are just dead.
Didact04 it is not very well thought out is it? Was hoping the larvae would actually turn into a botfly at somepoint, but that bot fly coudnt plant another larvae for a set amount of time. Or at least have an easier way to remove the larvae.
You are going to love the Chaos Dragon (Draconic Evolution) if Etho ever gets there. It will one shot you (literally set your hp to 0) if you are not wearing full Draconic Armor. I also think it will remove all your lives, not just one. You'll also like the Infinity Armor (end game of end game) that makes you invulnerable to everything including /kill. The whole point of this modpack with kappa mode is the insanity.
+ZarosUltor The Infinity stuff from avaritia is pretty balanced imo, given that it takes thousands of stacks of blocks of each of dozens of different materials to craft a single catalyst, and then a dozen catalysts to craft an ingot, and then 20 or so ingots to make a single piece of armor.
AwesomeSyd239, You can't call something balanced just because it's costly to make. And if I'm not wrong, that mod was made to "overpowered" the so called "unbalanced" draconic evolution, because of how literally you can't die except to the chaos dragon with a full set of those armor. Tl;dr, the infinity stuff is literally made to be overpowered.
The squares on the capacitors line up with the faces (top||left/front/right||bottom/back) and can be changed by right-clicking the desired face with the engineer's hammer.
The infinity crafting card goes into the wireless crafting terminal. That's an item you craft and keep in your inventory. You will need a security terminal to link it to your ae. The card then goes in that item making it have infinite range and access across dimensions. No boosters needed
I would recommend just setting the compacting drawers back up instead of making all the recipes for converting between nuggets, ingots, and blocks. It takes 4 recipes per metal to make the conversion recipe [Nugget->Ingot, Ingot->Block, Block->Ingot, and Ingot->Nugget] and that only helps you with autocrafting. Manual crafting will still not see the ingots as nuggets and blocks. One drawer controller and a compacting drawer per material [metals, redstone, gems, and a few other things] is pretty easy to setup and doesn't take up too much space. Additionally each compacting drawer holds 16 stacks of blocks before upgrades.
dunno what it is like in the mod pack, but there is a bauble you can make that gives you creative flight... Also, setting up a smeltery, use barrels to hold liquids and have each barrel output a ingot. Use ender IO liquid conduits to move stuff from the smeltry to the barrels, this is because you can whitelist them. Alternating types of pipes from barrel to casting table helps save space as well.
I just realized that the thing that pops up when you press shift on the IE capacitor was how the inputs and outputs were oriented... it's one of my favorite mods and I had no idea
The capacitor from IE can accept from the side you have to configure input and output like with the energy cells. You need the engineer's hammer. You will know what the side is set to by the color of the dot that's on the side. Orange input, blue output. When it's in your inventory the dots represent the side configuration. Top Sides Bottom With the same color code.
You should make a "path of power where you put all the liquids that have a positive effect in a row and you can just walk trough them, or put down an aerial faith plate and you put those liquids in its shooting arc.
Etho if you use a storage Bus on a drawer controller you can still have access to all the compacting drawers just make sure to set it to a high priority so items go there first.
I was nearly crying with laughter when you said "It's growing on me (as if to say you're starting to like it), I don't know how to get it off". Take that however you please L)
hey Etho, you can melt down horse armor in the crucible to make it into ingots, you can also do that with the vanilla tools, if i'm not mistaken, so you can clear the ME network of the tools by melting them down rather than trashing them
With the capacitors the weird power level thing you mentioned is really how the capacitor is configured. You can configure the sides with the immersive engineering hammer.
Hey Etho, you should really get a Wireless Charger from Ender IO if you want to use the Wireless Crafting Terminal frequently. That way you don't always have to recharge it (as well as every other item which uses RF power). Also, go and upgrade your Jetpack into a Jetplate. It's a lot faster, uses less power and will last for literally more than an hour. For beating the Erebus: Get a Wyvern Armor if you can afford it (I guess Draconic Armor is going to be too expensive at this point). It's going to save you from a lot of heavy damage. Last but not least, keep up the great work. Live your videos ;)
Hey Etho, you can right click those Immersive Engineering capacitors with the engineer's hammer. That'll make it change it's input/output/none. Default the top is input.
First thing I do when I start any new modpack is change the inventory key back to 'I', re-assign F8, and then switch Shift+Ctrl around and make drop item 'G' so it's nice and out of the way. And then fix the rest of them XD I end up spending so long on controls before I even find out if I like the pack.
Also, last comment, but no promises, Almost 2 million subscribers, can't wait!!! Anyone remember those vertical TNT launchers from his first season? Also the fire sheep. Etho, we need more fire sheep.
Hey Etho, The infinity booster card need to be used the infinity wireless crafting terminal (the recipe is kind of hard to make) but then the booster card goes in that and you are good for everything it tell you it can do.
Check out the quest for the wireless terminal. It's from an add-on mod and it's a crafting terminal that can use the infinity booster card. You're doing it the normal AE2 way but in this modpack the other one is much better
Finally I missed your videos Etho 😊 specially my favourite series! I wanted you to try that furnace so badly 😂😩 longest episode in awhile I wish it was longer though
I don't know if you'll read this since I am ccommenting so late. But the reason taxes resurrects you so early is beacuse it is set to the default minecraft 10 hearts. So since you have basically 17 and 1/2 hearts, because of the yellow hearts. It thinks you dies when you actually have 7 and 1/2 hearts left. Hope you read this.
You could put your compacting drawers back up, and then hook them into AE using a storage bus on either the drawer, drawer controller or controller slave.
Best out of context line: “If this works, I might be a genius. No! It took us to jupiter!“

Isn't that what we do with toasters? Albeit many of us take for granted how technologically advanced they are comparatively.

Part of the problem of dying so fast to the insects is because you only have 5 armor bars full.
Try making magical crops armour, as you saw, you have most of the set.
Also, fun facts:
1) Botflys are a real thing...
2) An exscript from the FTB wiki "A maximum of three Bot Fly larvae can fit on the players body"

2C3D he knew number 3 already from sky factory
His armor is tougher, and he has a jetpack so it's faster. Ziv armor is really slow when flying.
Roescoe1 last time I remember when they had Ziv armor they were almost invincible lol
yeah, ziv armor is really yough and it gives creative flight
He didn't craft zivicio leggings because he too lazy. :D
"Taxes, come closer, I'm scared 😳" Priceless
That is how you destroy a symbol of oppression, by using it for something good.
100% Quality Content too op
Erebus is not a really good mod imo, kinda feels like those "Dinosaurs" "Mutant Creatures" Etc that are made for young audience
As far as I know, if one can make a barrier on one side of a portal, one could indeed pass through the portal.
100% Quality Content More like buttfly
George Hamilton Yeah you can, Etho just used a smaller block that allowed him to be pushed enough out.

With the same color code.
You should make a "path of power where you put all the liquids that have a positive effect in a row and you can just walk trough them, or put down an aerial faith plate and you put those liquids in its shooting arc.
Also please make an episode of just opening chance cubes.
Anyone else feel like Etho seems happier (not drained out) this video?
Etho if you use a storage Bus on a drawer controller you can still have access to all the compacting drawers just make sure to set it to a high priority so items go there first.
"And I is what places down the weapon"
Ergo yes it is you who places down the weapon 😂👍
I know this is late, but everytime Erebus crashes the game it tells you what to do, most the time it conflicts with biome id's.
Tectonic Pertotheum will also convert stone to gravel.
I nominate the Aerial Faith Plate for the biggest jump-scare of 2017
Etho Plays Factorio: The best thing ever
I agree with the confusing inventory buttons
I just use Button 4 (Web Back Button) on my mouse for every game that allows you to remap keys
This was so far the best ozone episode
I can't remeber the last time Etho uploaded and I haven't watched it within an hour
Etho's helmet is at 666 durability.
WOOHOO I've been waiting for this the whole day
"This might not work, but if it does i might be a genius. NO it took us to Jupiter!! It got rid of the botfly though"
Hey Etho, you can right click those Immersive Engineering capacitors with the engineer's hammer. That'll make it change it's input/output/none. Default the top is input.
You would not believe your eyes, if Etho was killed by the larva of a botfly
You can connect the immersive engineering capacitors up to other cables, but you need to make sure it's connected on the correct side
You can use capacitor banks to fill the wireless terminal, it just uses rf.
Destroying cables leads to He-man. Neat

OMG!!!
i get soo excited when Etho uploads!!!
I see a Etho video. It's 2:05 am. Who needs sleep anyway?
H-E double hockey stick, like a true Canadian
Yes! 30 minutes more of pure bliss in my life!
"This place is possibly dangerous" After getting two shot by a fly.
Finally I missed your videos Etho 😊 specially my favourite series! I wanted you to try that furnace so badly 😂😩 longest episode in awhile I wish it was longer though
You can also connect cables to the sides of the IE capacitors.
Welcome to ethos new H e double hockeystick furnace shop!
Great video! Enjoyed the 30 minutes of it!
For transportation try out the charm of dislocation with pedestals.
I couldve sworn etho had a pair of zivicio pants. I can picture it too well, them openning a bag to find a pair of fabulous pant
I died when you said, "That made me jump, literally!" xD
dis you know that botflies are one of the creepiest parasites out there
You could put your compacting drawers back up, and then hook them into AE using a storage bus on either the drawer, drawer controller or controller slave.
