It was awesome to be able to talk with you and Will on both days of the airshow. Can't wait until next years show. Thank you for maintaining these aircraft and preserving their history. Yall are awesome.
Imagine hearing those huge radials all day everyday…That is the true sounds of freedom…Thank you to all who take care of all the flying history and Gods Speed to all who never returned 🤔🤩👍🏻😎😀🇺🇸🙏🏻
Yep, RF4C Bergstrom, AFB I was stationed at Bergstrom fro 1979 to 1984, I was a crew chief in the 4502 CAMS, OV10 Bronco, loved every minute of it! Thank you for sharing the Air show!
It was nice to meet you on Saturday! I was the one who said I’ve been watching since the blurry video days. I also bought an F-4 shirt from you. It was a great show!
I’m a 12 year old aviator and I watch your videos a lot and I’m happy you’re in Houston because you know a lot about Ellington and I can watch your videos to see what’s going on at the airport! Thank you!! Also the air shows this year was fun! A lot more jets than last year, also when are you plan of flying your F4 PHANTOM?? BECAUSE my dad loves the F4 and he wants it to fly and see the loud roar and afterburners!
It was nice getting to meet you. Thanks to the crew that fixed the tire so that myself and everybody Sunday was able to see her rip through the sky!!!!
We worked hard on that, and got it done! F-100 is a bit harder to change the tire on than say the Phantom (I'll do a video on that someday). Glad you stopped by the booth!
We were there on Sunday's show it was hot out there but it was worth it, great show! Saw that awesome Phantom out there, you should be proud of that plane!
Phantoms Forever!! Winner #2 here! Love my new cap! Thanks again! I really love your channel and am thankful for the hard work you do at the hanger. Before you started your channel I could only guess what was going on with the phantom, now I love to have coffee on Sunday mornings and watch your updates. Hopefully next year she will fly! Looking forward to the F100 on DCS, I currently own the Heat Blur Phantom, and I use any and all info. I get from you on your channel to help me with getting familiar with the F4's mechanics. You'll have to do a separate video on the ride on the CH-46 In the video, that was freaking awesome!, my son and I were left wanting more, we both loved the helicopter presence in the Vietnam era part of the show, there was only one thing that would have made it better 😁. Donation coming next month, thanks again for your service and for all the hard work on your channel,❤️ 🇺🇲❤️🇺🇲❤️🇺🇲❤️💯
Congrats again! Glad you're enjoying the channel and what we do! Not much more on the CH-46 ride I'm afraid. The GoPro went dead on the first day due to them being in a ground hold while the previous act was still flying. Second day was full sunlight so it washed out everything happing outside the helicopter. With them being local however, I'm sure I'll have more stuff in the future! And definitely planning on more DCS video as well.
I volunteered at our airshow in May. Helped launch out tora tora tora. They are a great group of guys to work with. And helped with the p-51 demo team. I worked with and launched little witch and dad did the same for mad max. They where awesome to work with also. We had hoped Dean Cutshaw would bring his hun down for one last demo. But it wasn't ment to be. Maybe when we have our air show again in Terre Haute in a few years, they will have you guys with the hun and Phantom up.
That's awesome! From what I understand with Dean's Hun, the aircraft is kept in flyable condition, just Dean himself is no longer flying. Either due to age or medical status, not exactly sure. Also not sure what they'll do with his Hun if they are going to find another pilot or sell it, but she is being fully maintained in the meantime. He had his fini flight in December 2023.
@DieselThunderAviation From what I understand, Dean is having a hard time getting insurance to fly it. And age is catching up for him and his 2 crew chiefs, they are in there mid 70s. But I was told it was for sale for the right peice
Please get those guys contact info for the former pilots…That could be great getting videos of their adventures for historical context and before it’s lost forever👍🏻🤩😎
That was found during the post flight inspection, which then proceeded to corrective maintenance after that. Just as happy that we had a couple tires made up and ready to go!
My pleasure! It a pretty nice camera, and a recent addition to my camera fleet. GoPro's are nice but only have a fixed lens and no zoom capability. The AX-43 is not as compact as a GoPro but still easy to tote around for stuff like this.

Love hearing those big round engines! And yes, salute to those who answered the call and never came back home.
Phantoms Phorever! 😁
Indeed!

A pleasure! And it was indeed a great show!
Great video! I miss working with the VWFM! All the maintainers keeping these aircraft flying are the real heroes! Cheers!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! We're doing what we can to keep them flying!

Great video showing off the show and show stopper 👍🏻🤩🇺🇸🌞😎
It's nice to know that these classic machines are in good hands. Thanks for all the hard work. Keep the burners on o7!
Keepin' 'em flyin'. Its in the air that they belong. THANK YOU!
Our pleasure, we want her back in the air too!

Awesome! Thank you! Sent the CH46 segment to my brother; he flew them in the mid-1980s in the Marines.
Once a Marine, always a Marine! Like to think he'd enjoy that segment!
Look at Grin's face, hes so happy :)
Thank you Diesel Thunder.
Our pleasure, glad you enjoyed it!
Very cool.❤

Yeah, it was great weather that whole week! And we sure are! Love all of our aircraft!
Been waiting to see that 46 GoPro footage! Great hanging out with you guys this weekend!
Glad you enjoyed it! And yes, the helmet cam was quite a unique vantage point of the whole air show!

That young man could be a future birdman and all cause of a hat 👍🏻🇺🇸🤩😀😎
Was pretty happy that the first winner was a youngster!
love my F100 shirt!!

Can you get his photos scanned in? That would be a true treasure 👍🏻🤩🇺🇸
Didn't think to ask, but that would be a good thing for the historical side!
You should have changed the tire during the airshow…Showing off the maintenance…Doing maintenance is a huge part of the flying experience 🤔👍🏻🤩😎
That was found during the post flight inspection, which then proceeded to corrective maintenance after that. Just as happy that we had a couple tires made up and ready to go!
Nice I was there to
Awesome! Hope you enjoyed the show!
@@DieselThunderAviation yes I did it was amazing
Always carry a spare battery of 2…I’s always got some for my camera 🤔👍🏻🤩
I should have had an extra battery on me. Though when we are getting things done, hard to break away for stuff like that.
What canera/lens did you use for the zoom video?
That is a Sony AX-43 Handycam, shooting at 30 frames/sec at 4K with the built in Zeiss lens. Think it can go up to 20x optical zoom.
@DieselThunderAviation wow thank you so much, I shot on my phone but camera quality was not nearly as good as this, have a blessed day!
My pleasure! It a pretty nice camera, and a recent addition to my camera fleet. GoPro's are nice but only have a fixed lens and no zoom capability. The AX-43 is not as compact as a GoPro but still easy to tote around for stuff like this.
Did Joe G get to ride in the F-100?
I wonder how much it cost just to fold the wings.
Thought the F4 was going to fly this year.
Wanted her to fly as well, just wasn't her year. We're going to keep at it though!
