Love your random selection of scraps. Just a little observation of what appeals at the time. I think I will use this idea to make a hat headband. Thank you for a lovely video.
Thanks so much for your lovely words Ann 🌸🌸🌸
Love this little project you can pick up when you have a minute
Thanks Nan, it’s so relaxing just to be able to sew, but without having to think about a pattern 🌸
It truly is a treasure box - thanks for sharing your process. Also the pancake story.....
Thank you so much - the pancakes were yummy! 😊
I always watch people do this and paper collages and I’ve never seen one that looked like they got sick on their work….except for mine. Maybe too much thought into something that should just be given enough thought to not cover each one up with another. Also and it just (finally) sunk in when you mentioned your pile of fabrics that I should start with a pile of fabrics that looks good in a big messy pile, then you know you can’t mess up too much. That is how I’ll start my next snippet. Thank you for this epiphany that took too long to “get”.
Thanks Linda, the fabrics I was using all came from projects that I’d done recently, so I knew I’d like the fabrics, although there were a couple that I was unsure of. I’m glad it helped your process too. 🌸
Good to see you making a little bobbin scroll so relaxing to do. Started making these as a child love doing them in all sizes always have several ready, I stitch rather than glue though. x
I’m really enjoying sewing the scroll, I think next time I’d like to just have my fabrics at the side of me and choose a piece, sew it on, then choose another one, so no glue or pins. 🌸
I’m a new subscriber and I’m really pleased that I found your channel. Now to spend some time watching your past videos. 😊💖
Welcome on board Deb, glad you’ve found your way here 🌸
I have just finished a Meditation roll, I really enjoyed making it
I’m really enjoying this Cathie 🌸
lovely little bit of stitching time!🥰
Yes! It’s my happy place 🌸
I made a cotton reel zero waste. Everyone asks what it's for? I loved doing it and have 2 more ready to take with me on holidays as they take up no room
They’re ideal aren’t they, just to pick up when you have a few minutes 🌸
Love your project, thank you!❤
Hi Sheila, thank you so much 🌸
Yes, we have ice cream trucks that come round when it’s warm (sometimes May), June, July, August. It’s way nicer than usual but still have freezing temperatures at night and snow, but definitely nice enough to skate and toboggan if you like those things - I’m comfortable sewing 😍
Oh, you paint a lovely picture, but I think I’d rather be in the warm sewing too! 😊
I think its about time I had a go at starting one of these - I've really enjoyed this video, and like the idea of using those spare 15 minutes on something completely for me. Thank you for the inspiration! Please may I ask - what sort of needles do you recommend?
Thank you - for thicker threads I use a chenille 22 and then I have a set of milliners 3/9 & cotton darners 5 for thinner threads 🌸
cold and snowing
Brrr wrap up warm and roll on Spring… 😊
I didn’t even know you could buy already made pancakes ….
Yes, they are a thing here for the lazy cook (that’s me!), but I couldn’t find any, so we had to make them from scratch and we had a great time, we all got involved tossing them in the pan, and they were delicious 🩷
