🎻A tribute to Stephane Grappelli, who recorded a beautiful version of this tune with his trio... a timeless classic - Blue Moon!
Originally written in 1934 for the movie "Manhattan Melodrama" by songwriting duo Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, it has been recorded by artists of many different genres - including us!

I'll go ahead and give away my age, I was in high school when Joscho was born. I was surrounded by music my entire life. My oldest brother played guitar, and my dad could play the harmonica, the organ, and the accordion. I took piano lessons early in life but it didn't gel. What gelled with me was the guitar. There are a lot of great players out there, but Joscho takes the art form to a benchmark level. Astonishing musicianship. Plus, he's introduced me to even more fantastic musicians. Say what you want about TH-cam, but were it not for this platform, I wouldn't have discovered so much talent and inspiration. 😎
I agree about TH-cam. I would have never found Joscho without it. Now in my advanced age (70) I plan to start lessons with his academy soon. I have finger picked since I was 18, but I’m finally ready to improve after retiring. I have a ‘66 Nashville, bought new way back then that needs some new stuff. Can’t wait to get started.

When is the album coming out with Joscho and guests? I love everything Joscho, but especially these releases with the trio, the quartet or just Joscho playing with various other great artists. I save them on my TH-cam library, but would love a playlist, ie album, or TWO, THREE?!

Simple start was beautiful with just guitar and then scrumptous fidde. Add rhythm section with driving chops that are as steady as a clock. Then guitar blows you away with such an artistic variety. THANK YOU

Yeah, it's so good that it's overwhelming. Rocking back and forth in the chair like some hypnotized college kid. I'm addicted to listening to these guys. Apart from Adrien Chevalier, I'd say this guy has no peer in that style, and that you would have to go back to the days of the 1980's when I was in school and an elderly but vital Stephane Grappelli was touring with a young Martin Taylor. For example check out "I Remember April" from the Live at Montreal Jazz Festival 1984.
Then, get your friend Mr. Sven Jungbeck to convince the crew to do a version of their own. It would be *Astounding*
And it's more of what, to coin a phrase, the world needs now.
