    Wow! Thank You! I just got a new roof and new gutters - I was going to get filter covers - definitely going to look for these now instead!

    What's great is regardless of someone saying well you have to clean any of them out is the one you said is the best gives you way more time before you have to go and get your hands dirty, the others have to be maintained after each rainfall if you wanted them to work correctly.

    I rather have the mesh. I had the similar thought because I have 6 downspouts in all, 3 of which are attached to french drains. I simply need something to stop leaves and other objects from passing through the spout. Annual cleaning will be simpler than hiring a plumber to clear the French drain. In order to flush any debris out of the french drain, I recently bought a Sewer Jetter Kit for Pressure Washer to attach to my pressure washer.

    From what I see that you do not show, and I did notice it. That it still backs up behind all the debris once it is covered and a few inches back from it the small debris is blocked and was a couple of inches deep in water behind it. You tried really hard to conceal that part of it and in the end you still have to clean it sometime later. So I see you are a affiliate and make money on the sales of the item. It is not much better than any other one once you get a lot of leaves and debris in front of it.

    I like your info on the problems that no one tells you about concerning all the different type of gutter guards and filters. Most of the time my gutters are clogged at the downspout turn coming off the gutter. The strainer will not stop that issue. Additionally the plants and mold will still grow in the debree. Bottom line is there is no perfect solution.

    Great idea! I bought a house with a mansard style roof and leaks are appearing. It has a leaky skylight too. Should we get rid of the skylight since mandates are soooo flat? Thanks.

    I think the best solution for this problem is to clean the gutters regularly and that's it.

      Who does that? Not even me, and I have ladders, and don't mind getting on roofs. I made another video on this Z-gutter filter not long ago showing my gutter not cleaned out for a year and the filter was doing its job.

    what worked best for me was nothing at all, just a nice wide down pipe.. it all flows through and there's nothing to clean

    Still same problem you meet to clean it all time pfffff

    • @FlatRoofDoctor
      @FlatRoofDoctor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      only difference is you don't need to clean that often, maybe once a year or even longer. Alos while there are leaves in the gutter, the filter still allows for water to flow out unlike other gutter filters

    I wish it would rain here in new Mexico, no point in having those here I wish we had moss here I buy moss rocks and I bring em to Albuquerque and moss will be gone in one month you can still see it like a skeleton

    Nice concept, water can filter through and run out underneath . People need something on taller houses. You don't want to get up on a 2 or 3 story home to clean gutters

    10 bucks a pop and sold out? Ugh. It's made out of the same material as those 3 dollar baskets at the dollar store. They really overpriced it. I wonder how UV resistant the plastic coating is. I also wonder if after a couple years the metal will start to corrode and rust from within. Probably costs them $1 to produce.

      It appears you have a problem with their product. You can make your own. Why not? Just buy some chicken wire and bend it. Not a big deal. That might cost you a dollar and then you might think that Home Depot is over priced in that case. Why would you pay for chicken wire that much? So go the a farmer somewhere where he will give it to you for free. Hmm, you might then think that the farmer might have something up his sleeve for giving it to you for free. maybe you should not think about it. Just have a peaceful nights sleeping and not worrying what the stupid stuff cost and how long it might last and how much they are making on it.
      The last suggestion will cost nothing. How about that?

      @@FlatRoofDoctor You make no sense. Cost and durability are concerns every homeowner has with any product invested in. If their product offers little advantage and is priced too high, what reason would a homeowner have to purchase it? If it is cheap and does not last, why would you recommend it? These are all valid concerns and criticisms. I am only asking the questions most discerning people would have. Worst, if they are not even able to keep in stock their own product, then what alternative do I have but to reproduce it on my own if possible? You are the one recommending something that is not accessible, therefore some of that burden and responsibility now rests with you, whether you want to accept it or choose not to. How about that?
