I grew garlic for the first time last year. I saved some whole and the rest I dehydrated and ground into powder. It turned out really good. Love this info!
Great tutorial sister! I have been looking for someone to show this in a way that even I could do it! Great stuff! I subbed your channel and will follow you as I tend to my own! Thanks again! Chuck
Had no idea that if you take the scapes off, the bulb would grow bigger. I know better now for next year. We have planted hard neck for the passed couple years and they can tend to be small. Now we know. As for storing them, I have according to your videos, just hung them to dry in our garage and we are about to bring them in, since they are dry at this time. I have used garlic in something called "Dragon juice" with hot peppers and apple cider, Great stuff! Thank you for your videos!
I'm in Oregon this is my first time growing garlic. It was in the ground al.ost a year. Just harvested in July. The bulbs are large and some had pink color in areas.
Did you enjoy this video? Have you ever grown garlic? What's your favorite way to store it? Do you use garlic in any natural remedies?
Melissa K. Norris - Modern Homesteading when do you plant garlic?
Just harvested my first crop of garlic and I got about 50 bulbs! Thank you for the instructional videos!

Thanks for the great video
Nice
10:28. My eyes popped out their sockets for a split second. But seriously. Thanks for the great video. As always.
Mine are too dry when I bend them they break in half:(
Why you braid them and hang in the house but not chop the head off like the small one for stew?
I hang the majority of them because I don't have room in the kitchen for them all (they'll last longer away from light and heat)
Melissa K. Norris - Modern Homesteading I see
Thank you so much 😊
Wow, You Have The Greatest Ideas On How To Garden. I Love Your Video's.
Oh I can't wait to plant garlic. I use it in hone remedies - fire cider, garlic and honey... appreciate the braiding demo.
Your garlic braid looks great 🤗
Thank you, did you grow garlic this year?
@@MelissaKNorris You're welcome. No we didn't but considering how much we use, we should plant some. 😊
@@MyQuaintCottage it's a great crop and right now is planting time for most regions!
Thank u so much for sharing your ideas.
Hi melissa have you ever thought about doing a live chat 😁👊
