@@brianfeeney1061 if you don’t know what type of bullying is going on then don’t give your opinion. My daughter was bullied with the physical threat of hanging her. There was a picture of her hanging from a door on the perpetrator’s computer. There was other bullying, that’s just one sample. It was constant until she graduated from high school. The bullying was meant to threaten, scare, demean, and recruit others to their agenda. We just recently had a girl physically beating a younger girl with a dozen bystanders. It is a big problem.

Agreed!! There is definitely division and inequality toward conservative voices. I have literally typed responses to tweets and literally had my comments vanish minutes later. This has happened numerous times, and for no reason other than I responded to conservative leaders, or more right leaning personalities. They are clearly silencing people who have different political views than them. Not just that, but hateful leftist trolls would jump in conversations and say vile hateful things about conservatives, yet they are on twitterI noticed it got way worse leading up to election 2020! Freedom of Speech. I've seen too many people here who don't know what this means. It is the Constitutional right for people to express their opinions without interference from the GOVERNMENT. This was enacted because, under the authoritarian rule of the English king, a person could be punished/put to death for saying something against the king. It has nothing to do with a PRIVATE COMPANY. Hence "private." If you come into my private home and I say you have to leave if you don't like President X, you have to leave! However, you can shout it in the streets or write it in a book and the government cannot stop you. People, read The Constitution. Stop repeating others who haven't read it either.

Every time I see a congressional hearing regarding big tech, it makes me wish that there were term limits for these relics.
Notice how our representatives don't care to ask the people they represent how they feel and how discriminated we are, we repost something were banned for 30 days not our fault if a small portion of what was said wasn't right or their opinion of what is right. The First Amendment, Freedom of Speech, only applies to the GOVERNMENT. The government is not allowed to interfere with the Freedom of Speech of the people. Facebook is a private company. Don't like it? Don't use it! Google is a private company. Don't like it? Go elsewhere: Firefox, Edge, Opera.... too many to list. Twitter is a private company. Don't like it? Don't use it! They are not obligated to run their company as you would like. You are not obligated to use their company's services! Freedom of Speech has nothing to do with private companies. It was made because under English rule a person could be punished or put to death for voicing their opinion against the government. Read the Constitution before saying what rights it gives you! Don't just repeat what you heard so and so say. They likely haven't read it either.

How is Twitter not free speech?
Privately held company. For example, you could go in a public space and point out the scientific basis for your atheistic belief system. You could try and do the same thing at a Hobby Lobby and will find yourself banned from all their properties. You can express your opinions in all sorts of forums on the internet but when using Twitters business space, that they created and pay to occupy, it's their rules. It's not a public forum.

@@brentb5303 then they do not deserve section 230 because section 230 is only meant to apply to platforms not publishers and if they are going act as publishers and disrupt the free flow of information then they shouldn’t have these protections. If they are going ban speech that they do not agree with then congress should easily be able to remove there protections entirely. I’m sorry but you can’t claim to be a platform and act as a publisher, you can’t have it both ways, you are either a publisher or a platform and if your a publisher of information then section 230 does not apply to you. If Twitter is going to ban people for “hate speech” then they may aswell have there protections taken away because they are acting as a publisher while pretending to a platform in order to gain a set of protections that they shouldn’t have if they are acting as a publisher. So Twitter has to decide whether or not they are a platform or a publisher, if they choose to be a platform then they can’t ban or remove people’s posts for “hate speech” and they will have there protections. If they choose to be a publisher then they will have there protections taken away but they can ban and moderate whatever speech they like. You can’t be a publisher and claim to be a platform, there is no inbetween because Twitter is either a platform or a publisher and depending on what they choose they will either retain there protections with the condition that they are not allowed to ban or remove people’s posts for free speech or they choose to be a publisher then they will entirely loose there protections but they won’t be restricted and they can ban and remove and moderate any speech they deem fit. Section 230 protection will and should only be granted to “platforms” with reformations and enforced restrictions that prevents Twitter and big corporations in general from banning speech that they do not agree with. If they want to moderate like a publisher then they are free to do so under the condition that they lose there protections entirely because section 230 was never meant for companies that act as “publishers” Of information.
