I have Chromesthesia. I lived with it unaware until very recently, when I read about it in an article. Since then, I've been wanting to share what I see. This June, in Valencia, Spain, I will be performing in the Hemisfèric planetarium and visuals reflecting the colours I see will be played on the 360° screens. You coming?
TICKETS ANNOUNCED SOON on la Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències' website.

Huh? I didn’t know this was a thing. Those people are so lucky
I just learned 2 days ago that not everyone hears this way. I can't imagine what it would be like to hear something without the sounds being visible at all. It's totally alien to think about, so much so that I've known about synesthesia for a long time but never even questioned that I was not a person who had it, and that everyone heard this way. Not until I read specifically about chromesthesia.
People look at me like I'm crazy when I try to explain this so thank you for this video! It's exactly what happens to me and it's awesome I think!
I think it’s awesome too! You see the world in a way that’s particular to you only, it’s so precious and special and you should be proud of it 😊
Almost the same colors I get. Hi hats are always yellow, bass blue and kick purple.
Heeey samesies
Mm...for me personally colors are different:
Drums are brown (dark brown, not bright brown)
Bells are pink
Bass is dark gray
Electric Guitar is cyan/sometimes bright blue (almost ocean blue)
Keyboard synths are in deep purple/violet
Cello is in dark green
Ukelele is in bright green (like really really really bright)
Flute is in very bright yellow (almost blinding like the sun itself)
...there are other instruments and their associated colors, but i can't think of anything else specific right now! The general idea (personaolly for me) is this - the "softer" the sound of the instrument is and the calmer it is - the brighter the colors are, more vivid and gentle...while "heavier" sounds usually tend to draw darker tones...
oooh it's interesting cause i don't see these colours for these instruments! But i agree, higher in pitch and softer = lighter in colour and lower in pitch = darker in colour.
BRO THIS IS SO ACCURATE
Do you have chromesthesia as well? Is it how it manifests itself for you? I’d love to know your experience!
@@thisisARAE I have it too! I love falling asleep with earbuds in so I can drift into a vivid colorful dream. I also feel certain sounds ripple through my body in goosebumps. when I close my eyes and listen to the environment around me I can create a 3d image in my mind, I usually see people in dark blue
@@moonfang9943 woooow that sounds beautiful! I love the idea of falling asleep while stimulating your synesthesia, I’ll try it too!
a million times yes!
Love the enthusiasm Anthony 😁
nah. I got grayscale percussion(anything that isn't melodic is considered grayscale), bass as red-orange, same as the synth, and bells as orange-yellow. also the ambient sounds orange.
IF i see only shapes but not colours does that count as synesthesia? like for example when you said about drums my brain outlined a flat spots in my minds eye, rge heavy base like ribbon coming down and moving up, the synth like scuiggly lines and the bells like sprinkles.I don`t know if that m akes any sense. Also i am naturally very fond of musics especially ones that have complex rythms
Im not an expert on the topic but it sounds like you have synesthesia still! There are more than a hundred different types, chromesthesia (sound to colour) is just one of them. Yours sounds very cool!
I have this? I see items images, I wasn't sure if it is, for example guitars are Jellyfish and rock vocals are like tree bark... 😂
I love itt
Whats the background music?
It’s one of my unreleased songs, called Future Ghost! 😊
@@thisisARAE i already love the sound of it
Will you release it?
@@sage2711 it’s in the plans! I’m glad you like if. In the meantime, check out my released music! 😊 th-cam.com/play/PLP9HPcnHef-y7ZEmtCaINGBqTilCwvNDJ.html
