Because the highlight is during 2013-2020 era where Ma Long was unstoppable. Fan Zhendong was always the weaker player, that’s why Fan need highlights like these to get points from Ma Long, where the points that Ma Long won are most of the time very boring.
This is a REALLY demanding sport, not ping pong as so many on earth regard as such. Precision, tactics, physical fitness, mentality, lightning reflexes, ball control all needed to drive/defend/return a 2.7gm ferocious spinning (plastic now) ball shooting from within 3 to 5 meters distance up to 70 km per hour, just for those who don't know. For those who can master the techniques, wish you all the best success and keep advancing to higher level.

Short movements, at the table, with a lot of spin. Also a very demanding style. I feel like Timo was held back by some serious injurys in his career. And now he is too old. But from the pure power, FZ and ML are unbeliveable.
The style Ma Long plays is very smooth. He use his whole body to hit the ball, which is good for his table tennis career. That is why he can stay in prime longer than Zhang Jike
If Fan Zhendong was born in a different era, he may have won more major titles like world championships, world cup and olympics. But the problem is, he's from the same era as Ma Long wich is the best player of all time based on achievements. Ma Long won the world championships twice, the world cup twice and has one olympic gold medal. In addition he's the first and only male player to have won every single's title in table tennis.

Fzd in drills will be more consistent even at a higher pace, and can beat most players outside the top 20 without turning his brain on most of the game. A great stat check. Watch federer. Noone ever has hit a ball more gracefully or as well in terms of talent and timing. But djokovic and nadal boast decent records because its not always about who looks better.

He is only 21 and is world number one, 3x world cup winner and all of the world championships and Olympics coming up. Ma Long has only ever won the world championships once and never won the Olympic singles. Fan Zhendong is going to be the greatest of all time
Update: Ma Long won three world championships three times. In a row. He almost broke every possible record in terms of titles won or time spent at world rank #1. Fan can do that, if he starts to grow up and play more intelligent table tennis. By now he is just the Hulk of table tennis.
