Reynatis, FuRyu's upcoming action RPG, promises to captivate players with its nostalgic atmosphere inspired by Final Fantasy Versus XIII and dynamic combat mechanics. The game features unique Suppression and Liberation modes, strategic magic management, and a smooth performance on modern consoles. Despite cautious optimism due to the developer's inconsistent history, Reynatis shows potential with its engaging gameplay and inspired character design. Set for a September 27, 2024 release on PlayStation, Switch, and PC, this title is one to watch.

Can't wait to try final fantasy versus 13 that we have at home.
lol
I can only imagine that the ideas in the original FFXVIII Versus were really something because Nomura isn't the only one who can't move on. Shit myself included! The whole world or at least the little bits we saw looked incredible.
Just because u saw the world doesn't make it looks incredible, it could look like shit if it actually release, there is little nothing impressd me about versus xiii nothing, it just basic edgy rpg
@@john_7000 it can look incredible to him and shit to you, your opinions matter just as much as his and there are tons of people who think Versus XIII's world and concepts looked incredible.
furyu is the king of 6/10 games
they know their niche lol
The Alliance Alive was a solid 8.5
The Caligula Effect 2 was just as good if not better.
Fr Calligula 2 might not be the prettiest game, but I can't put down my controller when I played it for the first time, the combat is way to addicting.
I know this is kinda a stupid question, but do you need to play the first caligua effect in order to play the sequel?
I heard the first caligua effect is a kinda meh.
@@rjproduction486no but you will miss tons of references especially one involving one of your party members, Also both games are on the same level so If you're interested in playing Caligula 2 might as well play overdose, first Game has better characters and music, the second one improved the combat just a little bit
Game already released in Japan, in case anyone was wondering
Versus 13? Looks more like Kingdom Hearts, Persona, and Ys.
we'll never truly know
It looks like none of those games anyway
@@GilgaMax305 It is by some of the Kingdom Hearts team. It looks like Roxas in the trailer, wearing a checkered hoodie. There's a crossover with The World Ends with You, which Kingdom Hearts has already done. There are locations that look like Kingdom Hearts' non-Disney areas. It sounds like the Kingdom Hearts composer because it is.
It features probably the same districts from Tokyo as Persona and gives that supernatural vibe.
The combat looks dead on Ys, including the camera distance, fast pace combat, and skills on the right.
I've beaten Ys 1-9 and every Kingdom Hearts game. They're my favorite game series and the only reason this caught my eye.
More like hit or miss I think Alliance Alive and lost dimensions are good but have another questionable games.
animations look a bit awkward, effects look a little off, asset quality and textures aren't that great either. i will purchase this game though. the developer is clearly a fan of nomura and i'd want to see his visions being made with a bit more budget and elbow grease behind them. i hope it's a success
I consider to play it on Switch, because the graphics don't seem to need more, but only if the gameplay worths.
Nice, now I know my Steam Deck will be able to play this smoothly as it’s not too graphic heavy
Sometimes I just feel bad for the game artists. Imagine spending literal days drawing some cool concept arts and promotional pictures and then see THIS as the end product. Not saying that everyone else didn't even try, but there is definitely a huge artistic gap.
What's the problem
@@tumultuousv it looks as if it’s made of free assets. Maybe it’s my personal feeling, but when we have some low-budget games with superb art direction it’s weird to see something like that from NIS.
I noticed this as well. The concept art looks downright gorgeous. Then we have the actual in game art and it...looks like it's outdated big time.
Gameplay looks fun, story might be good, but it's definitely gonna be held back by its poor graphics. This isn't like people seeing FFVII Rebirth and saying "lol it looks like a PS4 game" type of thing where they are majorly exaggerating.
This is a literal "it looks like a PS2 game" thing because it does look like PS2 game unfortunately. We're not even being mean about it, we're just stating the obvious.
@@willowingwhispers2612 Yeah. I pretty much expect it to be forgotten a month after release. Unless it’s going to glow with personality, but so far it looks quite generic in that aspect as well. I feel like the whole JRPG genre is full of games like that. When only enthusiasts will have the patience to appreciate it.
@@benjaminabel This for real. It makes me sad too when concepts aren't fully realized. It's why I really like SMTV. The designs are fully realized in 3D.
Furuyu always makes cool-looking games but never really strikes it out of the park. Crystar and Crymachina have great stories and characters in my opinion, but they never went over a 7 out of 10 because of gameplay which is often repetative.
Love your content but y’all NEED better audio.
Agreed.
Yeah
True
The world design is clearly taking inspiration from FFVS13, but the graphics quality is very similar to YS...
Hopefully the gameplay and plot is good.
It even looks like a PS3 game. This is perfect lol
Oh alright, it's an ok game
Looks dope! 👀👀👀
It's Versus XIII, not XIII Versus. I know it's such a minor thing to complain about, but if you actually look at how it's shown on the logo, it's clearly Versus XIII, not XIII Versus.
Thanks
Nintendo switch eshop is taking pre-orders but not Playstation store
@ 1:28 it says take me to quadratum. Is that where sora is at ? Is this game tied to kingdom heats?
No, or at least I don't think it is any official way
The character designs are actually unreal, especially the female protagonist. Too bad the graphics doesn’t do the designs any justice at all
Graphics aside, I am fairly hyped for Reynatis🤩
I cannot wait for this game!
I might have tried it if it had an english dub
We're about 3 months away from release and I am still hyped.
Considering all the other action games that are already available, this one seems like it's being sent out to die.
FuRyu games are sleeping giants :P
@@NoisyPixelNews They're a company that make games that play great but look awful. They also never get the marketing they need so they don't sell as well as they should.
They're a mid developer until they get over that. Falcom managed to find their way around those issues, but FuRyu still haven't.
@NoisyPixelNews Massive disagree, but whatever lol
Idk man, anyone in the Kingdom Hearts or FF community are probably going to play and love this game just for what it is. That’s a huge chunk of fans before it even releases. So I think it’s going to be a top level game? No way. But as long as it’s fun and engaging it will do well enough
@@GilgaMax305Nobody cares. But whatever :) „lol“
This looks like a game from 2 gens ago
After playing stuff like Elden Ring, FFXVI, Baldurs Gate 3, and others, I can’t see how devs could charge anything more than $29.99 for it
NGL this does have a very janky feel to it from the footage
Holy shit this looks terrible. Who green lit this? 👀👀👀 It doesn’t have to look realistic but come on it could’ve looked better than this.
I'm pretty sure xbox 360 games look way better than this ;s
Is it me or are the character models feet not touching the ground?
I'm usually not a graphics person but this looks sooo lifeless and generic.
And I'm not talking about the PS3 looks (because I really don't care about it), but everything I see from characters to monsters and scenarios looks so uninspired and generic. I still kinda want to play it, so I'm here hoping that at least the gameplay is good.
@@Hecomut You're just trolll reeeeeeee /s
Totally agree.
Nice to see they still make PS2 games.
I’m okay with this. Getting kinda over development budget going into making a game look pretty, but it isn’t fun at all. I’d rather budget and time of these niche games to go into gameplay systems rather than spend money on 3d animation.
Sounds like kid only playing fornite
Lopez is right. Not everything has to appear ultra realistic in order for it to be fun.
Ratioed! 🥴😂
Graphics are very low on my priority list.
the scene in the back alley reminds me of the beginning ofTokyo Xanadu actually it's spot on identical... anyway I love furyo, despite what they commonly say they try to go for more adult and at times politically charged content in the vein of atlus or spike chunsoft so all my respect to them! This one looks absolutely ugly tho.. sub Falcom ugly!! I mean I know the looks are not everything and in Japan there's incredible hype around it but man it looks crap...
This looks nothing like versus 13 maby Ys
the city parts are a lot more versus 13-ish
Mic is really bad in this one, sounds like you're trying to eat it lol
Furyu irritates me so much. They really have good ideas but they never put real effort into the games they make.
Crymachina…what a disappointment
@@roddny444 “Irritating” is a good word for it. It’s a shame that a great idea gets kind of wasted.
Out of all their library, the only one that I really like (enough to buy it again after my PS Vita passed away) is Lost Dimension.
And even LD is not without its flaws:
-Too short.
-Too reliant on "replay" (meaning: it forces you to replay it if you truly want to aim for the true ending).
-Grows exponentially easy once you do some grinding.
-You have to grind (not hard to do, just slightly tedious).
-Story is basically the same across playthroughs, with only extra scenes on a well-played 2nd+ playthrough.
-Auto save only (no going back to do take a different decision).
That said, LD is at least not saddled with Furyu's usual issues:
-No blotted inventory of weapons, items, and gigaws.
-No need to hunt for a million ultra-generic NPCs that all give you another million fetch quests and kill quests.
-Short and to the point (yes, it's both a flaw and a good point).
-The background story is actually very interesting, not mere justification for whatever McGuffin they cooked this time (I swear, their Caligula Effect series had such potential... atrociously wasted).
-Decent UI and easy-ish to navigate menu.
-ALL Characters are useful and not simply there to fill a checklist.
-You can finish it in two playthroughs if you play your cards right.
So yeah, LD is, imo, Furyu's best game. Hope this one is good too.
@@zennvirus7980 Weird that you mentioned it since I started Lost Dimension just a few hours ago. Had to download Japanese VA separately and performance is all over the place, but I love the atmosphere so far.
They getting cooked by the gacha games these days I fear
Yeah maybe the graphics are not as good as some soules ubisoft AAAA games. But it is a game with soul and not made to plese "the modern audience".
In my book it is better than some sw outlaws or ass assassins creed shadows.
Verum Rex ass game
Looks worlds better than kingdom farts
Is this game for Gamecube? Bro Xbox 360/ Ps3 look light years better than this.
looks like garbage
What calculator does this garbage run on?
On Ur mum
Pierwsza!!! ❤
