Thanks Andy-lad.... some top tips from a top blokie... i've been using your methods for waggler and had brilliant results... i think you and Des should have a waggle-off, as an honorary northerner (i married one and moved up north 28 years ago) I'll be rooting for you...... Tight Lines....
Another splendid video Andy . I definitely prefer rod n line fishing to sitting there holding a pole . Waggler fishing meNs your hands are free to have a brew or bacon butty. .
Great video Andy. I have trouble getting the depth right with a plummet when fishing a bit further out. Your method with the small weight looks the ideal solution for me to try. Thanks again, Barry
Stick floats are for rivers (we've just done a video on them), for a still water on the pole, you will want a pole rig, if you go to your local tackle shop you'll be able to get pre made ones to get you going :)
@Andy May - what was the setup around the float? djk floats takes around 7-8 number 8's to load the float as in this video but i do not see additional loading except the rubber stops
Getting back into fishing after about a 25 year break, can I just ask, are stotz now preferable as droppers than normal shot or is it just a personal thing?
where or what sort of stot alternative can i find in australia? i love watching all these vids of you UK fellas catching massive carp i've made my own waggler floats and had some good luck with them but i havent been able to find anything like stots shots here or to order in at a reasonable price :"( i've gone to shaving .5gram splitshots down but those are pretty much the smallest split leads you can find over here for a reasonable price!
LOVE waggle fishing always put a sliding knot on the line that reaches the top of the waggler so I can alter depth up or down

I put a band on my SSG and hook the band to help protect the hook.

Love the waggler stuff boys. Any chance of a slider fishing on the river tutorial?
Always enjoy your videos Andy, great tips and very well explained👍
Great film mr may thank you for the tips 👍👍
I always use a swivel to hook length to help the line sink and keep straight and also stop twisting, works well
Hi really like your videos. I am very new to this and I was given an NGT pole with a stick float. Would a waggler work on this?

How about more canal fishing. I'd like to see some cage feeder fishing as well .to much method feeder fishing out there
Just had a thought. Did you find the depth with the SSG before putting the no.9's on?
Thanks,
Barry
You could do it before shotting the rig but Andy did it after shotting.
Thanks for your response.

Not really any alternatives, I’m sure some UK shops would be able to export them for you. Might end up being expensive though.
Amazon possibly, they sell everything else.
What determines when to use a pole and when to use waggler please??
Distance really, want to go more than 16m (or however long your pole is), then it's time for a waggler.
Hooking Live, Double Maggot, Head & Tails, prevents the line from spinning.
i dont get how this works because isnt that float weighted?
Do you not shot the waggler?
They are loaded so most of the weight is built into the float. Just a few small dropper shot needed down the line.
It looks like anyone who wants an answer to a question has got to go to another channel. What a shame!!
Sorry we can’t reply instantly, we catch up whenever we get time 💪🏻
Thanks, will be more patient in future.
