Honestly only option one is necessary. Ive done it and it was with a metal door. I was stuck for all of 30 mins. It happened to me a similar case in Germany. I was visiting a friend's home for their cats while they were on vacation, and went to the bathroom. The apartment, newly renovated apparently had problems with the locks, cause also at the kitchen door was completely destroyed by force, but I didn't think about. I was stuck there. The door couldn't open, the window was secure. That part of the home was not confined with neighbors cause was at a corner, upper floor. I never take my phone with me in the toilet. So probably it would have been days before someone could notice my absence and to find me where I was, cause nobody knew. Luckily I applied all my forces and the door was opened. 🎉
