That was so special. Just found you as I have been watching vibes with mike. Love these big vessels. It’s fun to see the relationship you have with them too.
Been watching your videos on the Barker and love the stories. On my bucket list to hear a live barker bark! What's really cool is you mention Edna and how Captain Newland does a salute and wave for Edna when she watches the Barker come by. This time he saw his new friend Andrea and did a quick barker bark and wave to you -- fantastic!
What a smooth 90⁰ turn! And this is my favorite horn of all. The echo is stupendous! This is so different than a Duluth arrival or departure. Thank you!
I know it looks like it's 90 degrees but it's not... One of the Captains did tell me what it was and I've forgotten so I will have to ask again.. I want to say 67 degrees but I'm not sure
I live out in Western Canada & build RC Sips (among other rc's) & am building a replica James Barker. As I will never get to see this amazing Laker with my own eyes & especially ears, your videos are very cool for me & will assist my build. Thank you for sharing such great videos.
Yes I'll be doing that with the drone I just bought a few weeks ago... better weather and me learning what I'm doing will just have to happen first lol
Probably the best sound ever, and for you, an experience. I also want to see Barker and hear those two horns in the echo heard in the video. I have to travel from Scandinavia and stay a few days in the area, advice? How long will James R barker sail on this beautiful lake? What you capture is outstanding, so outstanding. Great.
Catching that stern from swinging out of the channel must be a feat if they are setting a 2/3 or a full bell in a hard to port turn. Congrats to the helmsman!
Andrea: He has no idea I'm here, so probably no salute. Ship's bridge crew: There she is Captain, right where you said she'd be. Barker: "IT'S SHOWTIME!!!" I love your videos and commentary!!!
I'll be doing that with the drone I just bought a few weeks ago... when weather gets better and I learn what I'm doing I'll be doing videos here for sure
Incredible! There is nothing like a Barker Bark! All that was missing was the otherworldly 70 second Barker Super Bark!
Fantastic video! Thank you for posting this.

A very good video, thank you for this. Greetings from Germany
WOW!!! I'm sure people's windows were rattling after that Barker's Bark!! What an Echo!!! I just love the James R Barker. ❤
Very cool! Thank you. Sure is different in the rivers...
A drone shot of the turns would be a good addition to this series.

Would be cool to see these turns from an aerial/birds eye view to see how the stern kicks around.

Do you know where they were coming from and what they were hauling?
