The iso does affect the image. Lower isos help with noise but harshen the highlights. higher iso 800-2000 increase shadow noise but give a more pleasant highlight rolloff.

Most camera's indeed work that way, but Red camera's dont. In most camera's the sensor becomes more sensitive when you increase ISO, meaning more light hits the sensor. On red thats not the case. If you increase ISO it will move the gamma curve inside your camera, but the light thats hits the sensor will remain the same regardless of if you increase or lower the ISO. They created this fake ISO so that you will keep it on 800 (native ISO on RED) to have the maximum dynamic range. They kind off force you to increase the light in your environment. :)

@@benbenjaminr most cameras work the opposite, higher iso higher noise, worse highlight retention and roll off.

Im not too sure about that I have the blackmagic pocket 6k and i shoot at 1250 - 2000 and I have little to no noise most cameras now have dual iso

    Nice video mate!
I agree on the "job" side... I feel like the Komodo is too big for small projects, and too small for big projects. See wadda' mean?

Komodo definitely sits in the sweet spot right in between- working with it is so great it’s hard not to shoot with it.

Lot of clients have no idea what camera you're using so getting one for clout is a waste of money. For the price of that camera I have to BMPCC 6Ks and have two cameras for interviews saves the day or one on legs, one on gimble saves time.
