Hey Helical, thanks man, you gave me the push I needed to buy this game. I tried it once and Henry being so shit at everything was too much of a drag, but seeing these vids I bit the bullet and bought the Royal edition, and I'm loving it. Sure it's atrociously annoying sometimes, but something about it feels so genuine, I'm so happy to finally have a way to make Henry good enough that I can enjoy the rest of the game. Using your vids I got up to level 8 before leaving Skallitz and it's so much less of a pain, I'm genuinely enjoying the combat!
I am glad to hear that :) I honestly get why some people get turned off at the start of the game. The start of the game really abuses the player, especially when you have no idea what is going on. Like, oh I lost reputation for saying something? What is reputation? Should I reload the game? Oh sweet, I got a sword, the adventure begins! Wait...henry can't fight his way out of a wet paper bag, and you got a big scary guy with a sword chasing me, should I fight him? *Dies 20 times* Well, either way, once you get past the first hurdle the game becomes much more entertaining. It may sound strange, but go hunting in the woods, do some poaching. I use to enjoy doing that when I first started playing. It was a good way to make money at the same time forget that I actually had a main story quest to do to find a sword my dad made lol
Excellent work... apparently there's also a chest under the combat arena (where you practice with Bernard), wonder if you can get to that... not to mention the one in the steeple of the lower Rattay church.
Oh that is quite the trick. There is also a mysterious box in the middle of the map that I can't quite get to. I sadly spent way too many hours trying to land on it but I do not think it is possible, not with some mods to fly around :( There is only so much that beef can do ;)
That is quite interesting. If true, there are a couple boxes that I might be able to land on top of and obtain that sweet sweet loot. A great way to make money :)
@@Wilus0 Actually, those are fully accessable in the back of a vendors home. It's the hardest lock in the game, but you'll be able to get that sword or vendor's money. But they're gonna be as poor as a pigeon for a while.
You know I have been trying that for awhile, but with night raid you can not save the game during that time, meaning beef jumping is not allowed. Even before the night raid trying to get into that castle is nearly impossible, not without mods. At least at this time. I sort of been trying on and off here and there to get in there but no luck so far. I need some breaks from trying to break into that place. Been trying a bunch of things, but someday ill get in there :P
You know the sort of the same thing happened to me right after I finished editing this video and uploaded it. I might show it off next week. No idea what caused it, but straight into the floor. Really its a bit strange to see what causes it. At least now we have sort of a reliable way to get into under the map in select areas.
Yes, the big one that just sticks out with the checkered pattern? That one intrigues me quite a bit. I probably spent a couple hours trying to get over there to see why it was so huge! Like why do they need that there. No luck. The jumping over each rock is a trial and error sort of deal and reloading each time was a pain. Maybe on this newer computer the reloading would not be too much of an issue, still a pain but I do not have to get up to get a drink each time it happens ;)
I am sad to say I have not tried recently. Someone mentioned they were able to make that jump and land on the box but did not have the lockpick. It sounds possible, but I will try installing mods after I get done with my latest series maybe and fly around under the map. There are quite a few chests scattered. There is one under the training arena with Sir Bernard. No idea why it exists there.
I think you might be right. If I land straight down on it, then maybe I can have a footing *while breaking both of Henry's legs* but that is assuming I do not die from the fall. There are some other chests on the map that I have been trying for, but no luck so far :/
@@КвітикГалявенко That is amazing! Did you have light feather perk too? That should help with the fall. Also there is a potion I believe that reduces damage temporarily. That might help survive. Now I am going to have to attempt some jumps later on :P Thanks for the tip and hope you get to the chest :)
@@helicalgoose I was wearing a House of Zoul cuirass, and I did not drink the potion. I think I should try to take your advice. And what potion do you mean? And I apologize if I write in English with errors. I understand English, but I may be wrong when writing
Someone mentioned in the past they were able to bounce off it, which is a good sign. I have not tried recently. That jump looks doable, but at same time to not bounce off it, is the challenge. :/
Bro I made the jump and survived, but the chest is locked in an easy lock and I don't have the master thief perk, I made a lineup and a technique to survive the fall damage which is just saving, can you give it a try? I recorded it, but I don't have any editing program, I will try to upload to it to my channel. Also if you know more of those chests, maybe you can try the fall damage exploit and try to open them, I am kinda curious about those
Video is out, apologies for the potato pc I play with, but the video is up for everyone to try the lineup and go there(and tell me what is inside) But mainly I want a video about opening out of bounds chests lol
Ah that is amazing! Thanks for the video! I think you stumbled onto something great. I was not certain that you could save in mid-air like that, or thinking of saving when you die which then when you reload it brings you back to health? It is very odd, but I will have to give it a try! But this is fantastic! Whenever I get done with the Hardcore Henry series, I will have to try and make a video on this again, or either make a short video on this seeing if we can open up that chest :P Fantastic work!
@@helicalgoose Thank you very much man, I love your content and I will be waiting for those videos. I think the way it works, it's the same as why beef jump works, when you save and reload, the game tries to put you on something, in the case of the beef, it puts you on top, in the case of the chest, the chest is the only collisionable object in there. I do not regain health, I just cancel fall damage by getting put into the floor. Also, had a quick idea, what if you try the beef jump while falling? Maybe you can sort of fly that way if you time it right, haven't tried it tho.
Was wondering what I would end my day with. Saw this upload and instantly knew. Thank you for your awesome videos.
I might have to release the video sooner just so it is not too late for you ;)

They most likely store items that vendors sell, a similar thing bethesda does in their games.

you should try beef jumping during the night raid to get into the castle rooms and try to find the hostages (but I guess there won't be anything)
