Outstanding!! I just got a Fenix 7 Solar and this video got the job done in less than 5 minutes! A couple things were just a bit different but it all worked. My watch has the Bluetooth connectivity so I can upload to Garmin Connect and sync with my watch wirelessly. I wish I had seen this before our last weekend trip!
Hey - this video was extremely helpful! It was short & to the point. Gonna use it to download a 14er trail in CO, don't want to get lost in the snow. Thanks!!
Perfect. Thank you. I just bought epix 2. I do lot of hikes especially summits in rockies and I really needed navigation. I'm approximately in same area as you are. :-) Great video and it's really working. I downloaded my first hike to watch, thanks to you.
Thanks!! Finally a clear explanation that is deed easy to follow, bite sized, good and clear thanks so much, new to a Fenix 6x pro and was a bit lost,i must say garmin have made some aspects of their products counter intuitive for what I would have thought should be easy,I never would have worked out how to download the map and get in into my watch without this easy explananation, thanks again!!
It is now possible to download directly from AllTrails to Garmin from the AllTrails website but your tutorial was still very informative for the final steps. I had no clue about the Navigate option on the watch and it wasn't in my menus by default on my 945 so I had to go in the options and bring the menu up like we do for an activity. Thanks a bunch!
I transfer AllTrails tracks a different way. After downloading the track, I connect my GPS receiver to my computer, then copy and paste the track from the computer to the GPX folder in my receiver. I get the same information and it seems a lot easier. But, to each, his (or her) own.
On the AllTrails map I clicked “more” and there was a option that said “send to garmin”. This put it straight into garmin express and once I synced the phone it was in my courses. No need to save the map or anything.
Absolutely fantastic video, straight to the point, really what I've been trying to find a watch to do for me so I don't always have to take my phone out of my pocket to navigate, which Garmin watch would you recommend if all you're doing is using it for all trails maps?
Great video. When I do the same as you and go to the course on my watch, I dont get that much detail as show on your watch. I only see a red route and a white background?
Could be your type of watch not having full version of maps. I know the Garmin Fenix 6 base model doesn't have maps but has ability for GPS tracking. Or it just hasn't loaded all the way due to being inside and your GPS not getting great signal.
Fantastic video, thank you so much. Question: when I go to 'navigate' activity, and start my activity, will everything be recorded, as if I started the 'real' activity (for example, hike)?
I have a problem with your statement "ANY Garmin Device"...... you did the above steps on a Fenix that supports maps ...... what happens when you do this on a Forerunner 255 ??? ...... will you get a background map ??? ....... also it is quite UNCLEAR if a GPX file actually contains the background map image or merely the course POINTS ?? .... your fenix model came with built-in USA topomaps and I suspect that your course merely appears on top of that ...... for all Garmin models that come with NO maps, I suspect you will get the course but NO background map at all ..... can you comment on this ? ...... I have a vested interest in KNOWING for certain as (unfortunately) I believe the model I ordered (but have not yet received) does NOT support maps
I am not certain but imagine if you dont have a watch that supports full topographical maps you would not see the map background but the path should still show up.
Thankyou so much this was driving me bonkers I could not get alltrail and garmin connect to connect. Finally this solved everything !! Thr map is on my watch finally
One of the most clean cut videos ever. No BS, no fluff, just key information. Well done!

This is so easy and seamless. I can see myself getting addicted. Very glad I went with the Fenix 7XS over the instinct 2XS
The most cut-to-the-chase video. Extremely helpful. Thank you!

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
Definitely need more of these guides

@@blairarmstrong6214 do what?

To the point. Excellent guide.
Thanks for the video. Very helpful, Short and to the point
Thanks mate. Saved me with this video because I was about to lose my s..t
🙌🏻🤙🏻 Just the steps, how it should be. Thanks so much.
Thank you!! Really looking forward to using this. Hopefully I'll have my forerunner 955 next week
Great guide. Thanks!
wow! amazing explanation! thanks a lot
Awesome! Straight to the point. No BS. So easy to follow. Thank you!
Phenomemal. Thank you!
Best video ever! thank you very much..
Just what I needed. Thank you sir 👌🏼
Thanks dude. Well presented!
You legend. Still working with garmin epix pro 2 and without a alltrails subscription.
My Venu 2 does not support Courses, so I would change the title of this video as it says "any Garmin device", but it is unfortunately not true
exactly, I have forerunner 55, it doesn't know either, but from IQ CONNECT i have dwMAP app , and I can do courses now

Yeah, I have never even heard of Garmin Express.
I wish i could give more ticks. This is excellent!
I see youre a man from AB. Hah all very dope hikes you uploaded

Leave it to Garmin! The 32x does not connect to Garmin Connect, which Alltrails "quick button" uses to send maps! Solar and SE units do!
Fantastic video, thank you so much. Question: when I go to 'navigate' activity, and start my activity, will everything be recorded, as if I started the 'real' activity (for example, hike)?
Yes it will be. All activity and stat will be tracked, GPS included
Hi, do you know, if possible, to upload Alltrails map on Garmin device using instead of a computer but a smart phone?
I am figuring out a way to do it. Allow me a few days to make a video on the process. Thank you!
@@WELCOMEtoSTEADY much appreciated 👍
@@bobg9135 I managed to do it successfully, it was a lot easier then the computer version. Video coming very soon. thankyou for the comment.
What is that watch face? It looks great.
That is Called the Hexacurve watch face, it is in the data rich category on the connect IQ app.
hi please help. i just bougt a etrex 32x and my pc wont download gpx files i dont know why.
Does seem to work for "any Garmin device" as I can't connect my Garmin inreach mini2 to the Garmin connect App
Is it possible to send the map to my garmin watch without the next to cable connect the watch to my computer?
This is great...I just got an Instinct 2 Solar and the instructions are dead on!
Do you have to do it on your computer or can you do it from your phone please

I have uploaded a video of how to do it from your phone.
Im already our on the road. Sad thatvit wont pet you upload from the app to your watch via bluetooth.
Unfortunately this doesn't work for any Garmin devices at all. My inReach doesn't use Garmin express :(
What type of watch are you using?
I can't connect etrex 22 on Garmin Connect!
Great video but not what my alltrails menu looks like, no more button only download. Also garmin tactical menu seems to be different.
Can you do this on a forerunner 965?
Dam my 600t doesn't work with connect. Common garmin
This is not for ANY garmin watch! Not all garmin watches support routes
Dear me, it's a video for adults, not toddlers.
Do these steps worth with an Etrex and/or Foretrex too?

Can I do it on a garmin viveoctif 4s ?
How do I do this on the app??
